Does Lack of CTR Reduce Organic Impressions
The most honest answer is that we simply don't know. There is some speculation that CTR and/or bounce-back rates and search refinement rates factor into the rankings. No one has proved either, but both seem to make sense. If I were Google, I would use CTR as one factor among many, but only judge against results for similar positions in similar results. For example, the CTR on simple questions is likely to be low across the board, so I wouldn't hold that against someone. With all of that said, I am currently responsible for a number of sites that actively try to convert people directly from SERPs. We haven't noticed any downside to it because we satisfy their query when they do click with more information and they don't click on other results either. As I said, it makes sense. Google would compare apples to apples if they had any sense.

Best SEO agency
NEVER go on whats in the SERPs. Get recommendations - so MOz is a good place to start. Why not look for the really technical SEO posts on moz and then approach those companies? I can recommend Distilled You could look at the http://moz.com/community/users users board and pick someone from London that has a ton of points - this indicates they have been helpful to the SEO community over a number of years. I'm at 21 and I am based in London. Marcus Miller is at 12 and he is based in Birmingham There is also a MOZ recommended list http://moz.com/community/recommended Stephen

What's the Best Host For WordPress sites
I've set up WP sites on both A Small Orange and WP Engine. I like them both a lot, but WP Engine is my favorite. The extra cost is recouped in time not spent doing constant backups, installing updates, jumping through hoops to set up redirects, etc.

Daily Reports
Hey There, Thanks for writing in and sorry for the confusion. The campaign data can update either weekly or daily depending on the section. For example, rankings and crawl update once a week while social, mentions, and traffic data update daily. The link data updates anywhere from 1-4 weeks depending on our index update which is not tied to the campaigns. I took a look at both of your campaigns and I am seeing that all of the sections that update daily that are set up for those campaigns do show an update for every day since the campaigns were created. It looks like both campaigns have traffic data connected and that dashboard defaults to the weekly timeframe, so you would just need to change the timeframe dropdown in order to see daily data there. For the first campaign you created, you have also connected social accounts and that section automatically defaults to daily metrics. As for they crawl and rankings sections, your first campaign is set to update by the end of the day Thursday, Dec 5th, and the second campaign should update by the end of the day Friday, Dec 6th. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need any further assistance. Chiaryn

Noindex xml RSS feed
Hi there! It sounds like there is something wrong with the plugin (either the installation or configuration). I know there was an issue about a year ago where the Yoast plugin was creating some weird links in sitemaps, but have not heard of anything like that recently. Do you have the most recent version of both the plugin and WordPress installed? Also, are you able to share the URLs of your problematic site map and a few of the broken links reported in GWT? Thanks

Would This Be Highlighted as Duplicate Meta Desc?
I wouldn't bother unless it's a really well-known or well-respected brand within the cruise industry, but then I'd still expect the company name to be visible in the URL or title tag, so not too important. In these situations I try to think from the searcher's point of view - if I'm looking for a cruise - is the brand name important? As I said, not if I haven't heard of them before. George makes good suggestions - if your prices are good then that's likely to drive more click throughs than a brand name, in the limited space you have. It's also worth bearing in mind that Google may not use your meta description at all if they don't think it matches the searchers intent or content on the resulting page.

If you discount a subscription when the client links to you, does that classify as a paid link?
Hi Jonathan Although Google's guidelines don't explicitly mention "discounts" I do feel this would be considered a paid or manipulated link as the company is offering a monetary benefit in exchange for a link. Google's Guidelines state that any link that is paid must be disclosed in a machine readable format and nofollowed -Dan

Will getting backlinks to landing page from low quality sites negatively affect SEO?
Thanks for the advice Kurt and I'll make sure to be careful. It doesn't look like we will invest too much more in this strategy as it is quite resource intensive.

Google Places UK address has randomly changed to a US address in Texas!
Are the addresses unique and not shared with any other business? https://maps.google.co.uk/?q=Tall+Trees+Cottage%2C+Winkfield+Road%2C+ASCOT%2C+Berkshire%2C+SL5+7EX I've heard of some real strange behaviour if the business does not have a fully unique address in some cases getting merged with another business, although I cannot see the connection here.
