  • Hi there, Domain Authority in Link Explorer and the Links section of your Moz Campaign correlates with Google rankings to give you an accurate representation of a sites's ranking power. To understand how to improve DA (Domain Authority) it can help to get some insight into how we gather our data, which I'll include below. Sorry in advance for the long message! To calculate DA, we index the web by following links using a crawler. Our crawler is built on a machine-learning based model that is optimized to select pages like those that appear in our collection of Google SERPs. We feed the machine learning model with features of the URL like the backlink counts for the URL and the PLD (pay-level domains), features about the URL like its length and how many subdirectories it has, and features on the quality of the domains linking to the URL and PLD. So, it's not based on any one particular metric, but we're training the crawler to start with high-value links. In terms of improving your Domain Authority, with the information above in mind, it's best to look at both you on-page SEO to make sure you've covered the basics. Then you also want to look at your off-site SEO and building more links more links to your site. There are lots of different areas of Link Building to explore, from patching up broken links, improving your internal link profile, and good ol' fashioned content creation. I hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any further questions by emailing us over at help@moz.com.

  • I am using MOZ for my website itslaptop SEO. It is the best SEO tool but not for all factors. For Keyword search Volume you should use Keyword Everywhere and for Keyword difficulty you should use MOZ.

  • Hi Sam! Thank you for your reply and I understand what you mean. But in this case you should not allow to pick Austria as a location because as a user this lets me think, that I will get the data for Austria. I can find Austria and Vienna in the same location list to pick from, so I was assuming that it will give me Austria as a location. One more question - when will the Keyword Research - Explore by Site tool be available for Austria / Germany? There are only four countries to choose from right now. Ciao - Markus

  • Yes your Domain authority for mentioned url is 3 and page authority is 9 according to MOZ metrics. You have 2 back links from 2 root domains. Moz has provided the awesome tutorial, but tutorial is very lengthy. therefore i am gonna post in short on letstart.us

  • if You are a huge site with a good domain authority any keyword difficulties are easy for you to rank but if you are a small brand new site Then try to rank for the low competition keyword and keep increasing the competition score as you grow

  • Our crawler works by parsing the source code of your site, looking at HTML elements. If your site is primarily Javascript, then the data you get back with regards to the crawl report won't be completely accurate because of this. There's no real workaround that I can recommend for this one, since it is a technical limitation of our tools, but there are some good blog posts and discussions in the Q&A about this if you head over to our Help Hub. While the tools and data that rely on our crawl of your site may not return the best results because of that Javascript, your keyword rankings and link profile should work just fine. You might also want to check out a few tools that are compatible with Javascript, like Botify or Screaming Frog. https://www.onely.com/tools/wwjd/ is also a handy tool that makes it super easy to see where links are added or removed by javascript.
