Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • Research Tools > Keyword Analysis They do show different information than AdWords; however, the SEOmoz one is pretty cool, because it analyzes your completion as well. You may need to run the "Full Report" to get the information you are looking for; however, the basic summary is also very helpful when researching keywords. Mike

  • One more example related to exact match domains. http://www.lakai.lt no seo for a 3 years,(about 1000 monthly visitors) added google  analytics yesterday to catch 404 , and submited sitemap. Competitors are way too good for this kind of site, but still. For most competitive keywoards the site is on first SERP. I think stable number of visitors for a years does the job,  supporting such an unfriendly to google robot website.

  • Hi Justin, Ow... I just had a quick look and if I am not mistaken SEOmoz might actually have gotten better at picking up the duplicates in my case.  I just manually went through the list and I can't really fault the results... in hindsight. Note to self: manually check the data next time before replying to any posts! Cheers Greg

  • Domain Authority is the outcome of several factors. It is measured on varied metrics. If you want to start with it, do the following: Create a fast loading website first Pay attention to the quality of your contents, Set up a blog on your domain if you can, and post regular blog Maintain keyword density, keep it below 3 on average While building links on other websites, take note of website quality, pagerank, and domain authority Participate actively in social media networks and create links to your website Do regular updates on the website, at least once or twice in week These all put together will definitely increase your domain and page authority. Thanks

  • Hi! The best place to get this resolved is through help[at]seomoz.org since it's currently a manual process to get the stuck crawl tests removed.  I see that you've already sent in a ticket though so I'll continue the conversation there.  Thanks! Sam Moz Helpster

  • Thank you, Mike and James. This makes a lot of sense since this is the only blog page that has a comment. (embarrassing to say that publicly ;o) And I haven't gotten this notice for any other blog pages.

  • Hi Peter, But still no local aspect to the rank tracking? I was hoping that with having David Mihm on-board, the Rank Tracker would also allow for Local Rank Tracker? Any idea when this feature would be implemented? Just checking... Cheers Greg

  • Your only option is to download a csv of every keyword you've ever analyzed and just cut out everything you don't need. The link is at the very bottom right side under all the keywords. Hoping selective exporting is a feature they are currently working on.

  • Hello Dino, The tool went live a few hours ago. In order to dig into the issue with inconsistent results that you continue to see, the ideal means of communication would be a direct email with more info sent directly to help@seomoz.org. If you ask for Abe directly, I will be able to answer this directly. Abe.

  • Hi Slash, So I ran your URL through Screaming Frog and found 91 valid pages, and 38 404 errors. What I didn't find was the types of broken links you describe, so I suspect it's more likely an error with the SEOmoz crawler trying to parse your site. What's odd is that SEOmoz won't give you a duplicate content error if one of the URLs returns a 404, so there's likely more than one issue going on. Sorry... without looking at your actual campaign I'm at the limits of what help I can offer. Slash, I think your best bet here is to go over the help documentation and contact the help team (help@seomoz.org) for specific question about your campaign.

  • Howdy, Whoa - this looks like snakes nest of redirects!   Here's what I got using the Mozbar | 10. 302 Moved Temporarily | http://www.pcf.org/ | | 11. 301 Moved Permanently | http://www.kintera.org/site/lookup.asp?c=leJRIROrEpH&b=5699537 | | 12. 200 OK | http://www.pcf.org/site/c.leJRIROrEpH/b.5699537/k.BEF4/Home.htm | I know you stated you couldn't alter the nature of the redirects due to your CMS, but this looks like something you would want to address. Looks like Google has done a decent job of indexing your site, but all these redirects through other domains and 302s could send confusing signals, result in loss of link equity, and cause a loss of your search visibility. Regardless, you have 3 options in setting up a campaign, and it depends how you enter the URL. 1. For a root domain campaign, enter pfc.org 2. For a subdomain campaign, enter www.pfc.org 3. For a subdirectory campain, enter http://www.pcf.org/site/c.leJRIROrEpH/b.5699537/k.BEF4/ In this case, I'd recommend setting up a root domain campaign starting at pfc.org. This will crawl every url found on your site that contains pfc.org in the URL. This will set up your campaigns, but because of your crazy redirects you might run into a couple problems: I'm not quite sure how the SEOmoz crawlers will handle a redirect that points to another domain. The crawl might stop dead there. The same thing happens with the subdirectory, which returns a string of 302 redirects. The truth is, if SEOmoz crawlers have a hard time crawling your site, you could infer that for Google, it's a less than ideal experience. Regardless, I hope this gives you some direction to think about. Best of luck and if you have any trouble with your account, feel free to contact the SEOmoz Help Team directly at help@seomoz.org.

  • I'm no SEO guru, but when I started out I found keyword difficulty tools quite useful. I think if you're a newish/low-authority site, it's pointless and a waste of resources trying immediately to compete for, say "real estate" because bigger, better sites are way ahead of you. I got around the problem by targeting long-tail keywords "eg, real estate in Chatanooga". Less competition, easier to rank for and, because it's a more focused keyword than merely "real estate", greater clickthrough and ROI.
