Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • Yeah. Very odd. Oh well. I'm sure it's just a bug. I looked a minute ago using the SEOMoz Chrome plug in and for a few moments it told me that our site was based in Ireland. Erm, no.

  • Hi Christopher, If your ranking analysis has a local aspect to it, then I would strongly recommend Whitespark's Local Rank Tracker... This is a paid service unfortunately, but you get a good overview of Organic, Local Pack and Places' rankings.

  • Thanks for the question! There currently isn't a way to set this up as a rule in manage keywords.  We don't allow a RegEx expression in our brand rules UX due to constraints on how we pull branded keyword traffic from Google Analytics. If you would love this feature in the future, I'd recommend posting this to our feature request forum. In the meantime, you can go back and manually create/tag keywords at any time but the only way to really automate this as a brand rule right now would be to create keywords with a space between the the terms.  This is mainly because our Brand Rules can't parse different phrases or terms in a keyword.  In your example, the word "this" would be set up as a brand in your campaign. ThisHouse, ThisPhone and ThisPC would not be tagged since these are seen as a single word.  If you add a space (This House, This Phone and This PC) the terms will be automatically tagged as branded.  Let me know if you have any other questions. Best, Sam Moz Helpster

  • Hey Lawrence, Campaigns have a 95% tolerance for duplicate content. This includes all the source code on the page and not just the viewable text. So if a URL is at least 95% similar in code and content to another URL, this warning will appear. You can run your own tests using this tool: http://www.webconfs.com/similar-page-checker.php We don't know what standard Google uses, but it's safe to say they are a bit more sophisticated than us - so you might be okay in this regard as long as you have a couple hundred words of unique text and some unique coding per page. Google won't say how much duplicate content is too much, so we like to be better safe than sorry. I hope this help. Let me know if you need further assistance. -Chiaryn

  • Hey Robin, Thanks for the question. You want to keep in mind with the Link Analysis and any other tools that use Mozscape data, they are updated on the Mozscape schedule. which right now is every 2-4 works and is getting increasingly frequent. You can check out the calendar of scheduled updates here: https://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/345964-linkscape-update-schedule as well as keeping an eye on our daily blog for notices that the index has been updated. I checked out your campaigns and they all have the correct information. I hope that helps. Cheers, Joel.

  • Thank you for the reply. I am using All-in-SEO Plugin. I think i have made non-index my tags not to appear in the Search Engine ! Using Google Sitemap Plugin. I can see how many pages are crawled and error and indexed in the Search Engine via GWT. Again like to know, how to check once again if that works or i did the settings correctly.

  • Hi George - I ended-up working with support to address this issue. Turns out Rogerbot doesn't crawl html that's generated by javascript, which is the situation for the website in question. Just the way our CMS works. I tried to delete the post but couldn't see an option for that. Thanks for the response though!

  • Thanks for your reply Scott. I generally run the full SERP Analysis to dive deeper into analyzing the likelihood we'll be able to rank for a given phrase.  In the past I've found it useful to see the level of optimization for the top 10 pages as well as some metrics on the number of links coming in to those pages that are ranking.  I weigh these against the domains and pages we're trying to rank to see how it looks. We don't give this data directly to clients.  We interpret the data and talk to them about their chances to rank for given phrases.

  • Hi Mike, Thanks, I'll check out SEMRush. Let's see what else gets suggested. I've used a lot of different tools that have a traffic estimate component and generally am unimpressed when I compare to reality (even after adding for "Not Provided.") Here, you have to get the terms/pages and estimate, which is a little more than just a keyword estimate. Anyone like any other organic competitor analysis tools? I'll check out SEMRush though. Thanks... Darcy
