Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • Have you checked out our Help Hub page about rankings at http://www.seomoz.org/help/rankings? It offers several reasons why what you see and what we report may be different. Hope that helps!

  • Hi Sam, If it was Penguin that hit you, I would focus on these items, as Penguin was primarily backlink related: You appear to have a link exchange directory for doing link exchanges: http://www.dfwgolfcourseguide.com/links.html Suggest removing the links directory and don't do link exchanges (it's OK to do a few with a couple high quality, relevant sites). You may be using too many keyword anchor texts. A natural link profile typically has more brand and url anchor texts than keyword. See http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/anchors?site=www.dfwgolfcourseguide.com and https://www.majesticseo.com/reports/site-explorer/anchor-text?folder=&q=dfwgolfcourseguide.com&oq=dfwgolfcourseguide.com and http://www.searchenginejournal.com/anchor-text-optimization-case-study-whats-natural/43404/ and http://www.searchenginejournal.com/post-penguin-seo-link-building-the-naked-url-truth/46936/ Your links appear to be mainly from blog comments, directories, and link pages, which tend to be low quality links. Hope that helps! ~Adam

  • Definitely the wrong place to be trying to talk to the api guys. email api@seomoz.org However it sounds like you are querying too quickly. As it turns out I was having a chat this week with a friend who was having a similar problem. You can only make 1 call per 10 secs (you can halve that time if you are a pro member and email them and ask). If you make a call every 8 seconds, you get 8 values back instead of 10 etc. so make sure you are giving enough time Stephen

  • Hi Jason, This is Megan from the SEOmoz Help Team.  Unfortunately, since we crawl from the cloud, RogerBot's IP address is changing all of the time so we cannot specify a particular IP address.  Also, we do need the site to be live before we can crawl it, but you could remove the firewall and block all other bots except rogerbot so it won't get indexed anywhere else before it's ready. I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.

  • Hi Sara, Right now, there is no way to track beyond the top 50 results. In our help hub page for rankings at http://www.seomoz.org/help/rankings, we mention "Ranking results beyond the top 50 tend to fluctuate to such a large degree that they make any actionable insight almost useless. Also, traffic gained beyond the first couple pages of search results is usually negligible." Hope this helps!

  • I'm not sure, but I think you are talking about SEOMoz tool for analyzing competitors. When I added  www.website.com/blog  it showed  up www.website.comblog  I guess this is your problem It's only possible to add the root domain of competitor.

  • Hi Rob, Just to clarify, SEOmoz flags your content as duplicate if finds 95% HTML similarity. You can use an online tool to compare pages yourself. I like this one: [http://www.webconfs.com/similar-page-checker.php](Just to clarify, SEOmoz flags your content as duplicate if finds 95% HTML similarity. You can use an online tool to compare pages yourself. I like this one: http://www.webconfs.com/similar-page-checker.php Google obviously uses a more sophisticated method than Moz, but it's still a good warning because pages without much unique content - even if they aren't true duplicates - often have a difficult time ranking for their targeted keywords.) Google obviously uses a more sophisticated method than Moz, but it's still a good warning because pages without much unique content - even if they aren't true duplicates - often have a difficult time ranking for their targeted keywords. Rob, for your specific examples, the content isn't an exact duplicate, but it's what we would call a "near-duplicate". These are pages that are very close to one another in theme and content. Having too many of these can actually hurt your site's ability to rank in a strong way. Dr. Pete goes into this in quite a bit of detail in this epic Duplicate Content post. The problem on these pages is that the duplicate content is all above the fold - the primary spot Google cares about. You might consider: Moving your unique individual products to the top, and moving the repeating "boiler plate" intro below the fold Better yet, writing unique intros to each page. My guess is this would give you the most ranking boost for your buck. So it's hard to say if this duplication is hurting you in a big way, but it might be - and it might be worth taking a look to make these pages more unique. Hope this helps! Best of luck with your SEO.

  • Hi Callie, Thanks for the question. It sounds like you're wondering why we don't show MozRank in the inbound links section. If that's not correct, please let me know. As for why it's not there, we chose to show the Page and Domain Authorities to give you a brief snapshot of the pages that are linking to you. If you need to view MozRank for links you'll want to click the icon for "Compare" and that will show you the specific metrics for the page that links to you. Here's a screenshot of where to find that button: http://www.screencast.com/t/rGz9HUuabRe I hope that helps clear that up. Cheers, Joel.

  • Hey Per, Good question. The On-Page report actually utilizes Broad Keyword Use in it's grading. For situations just like you mentioned. Not every keyword is utilizing proper grammar so we've padded it out a bit to allow for extenuating circumstances. Google will do similar with their rankings unless someone uses quotes to ask for an exact match (weird, but it happens). I hope that helps. Cheers, Joel.

  • Hi Fernando, I don't believe SEOmoz has any feature that requires you to submit a sitemap. It is not a search engine, and SEOmoz's Roger bot just crawls your site and pulls all the needed information(no tracking cookie, how awesome!). Once you submitted your domain, full crawls just takes a few days and you will have all the data you need.

  • Hi, I have seen both your pages your website have perfect onpage and does not have technical issues. You need to increase links to your website for that promote your page with keyword variation, do guest blogging and improve social media profile that will also help you to increasing PA.  For reading more about increasing page authority read this link it is really good. http://www.seomoz.org/q/page-authority-3

  • It's usually automatic. So you might've have a plugin like SEO all in one or Yoast that added the canonical URL. I'm guessing thats the reason.
