Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • Doug is spot on - its just that easy. Those csv exports literally tell you everything you need to know. Sameer is also recommending a good tool, Xenu, if you don't want to use your crawl report. However, Xenu can cause issues (rare) with sites with dynamic content, or it can just keep crawling forever with newer dynamic sites.

  • **I am trying to get an rough estimation anyway....  ** That's good.  Lots of people are selling the $1000/month package to people who need $5000/month to be effective and don't know it.  You are trying to figure it out and that is very important. Economists call this "ceteris paribus" analysis. There's an awful lot of variables here.  That's what makes it interesting.

  • For analyzing backlinks of competitors my approach is to download the CSVs from Open Site Explorer for the top competitors (filtering for the entire domain and followed links). Put these CSVs into an Excel workbook and convert each sheet into an Excel table (to make it easy to filter). Sort the rows of each sheet by descending Page Authority. Go through each sheet and highlight any URLs that catch your eye as potential link opportunities. Lastly, filter the list to put the highlighted rows at the top so that you can look into these opportunities later. The following Google query has worked well for me: keyword phrase inurl:links

  • Thank you for your response. I use Alexa audits, Bing and Google webmaster, Google Analytics and SEOBOOK. While I found the reports in SEOmoz great to use as a roadmap of items to address to improve my optimization, the actual results never materialized., much to my frustration. I will check into the other tools you stated to see if I can find any additional help there. Thanks!

  • Hi, It is not possible to see mobile ranking in ranking report and as i know there is not much difference in both the ranking. I am not sure about it but i was tested it for some of my keywords. If you want to track your mobile visitors then track record of Google analytic.

  • Haha no worries Alex, we've all been there! My first step is to usually create a work process for each SEO related task I'll need, for example: http://www.popvia.com/work-processes/guest-post-acquisition-and-follow-up/ How are you planning on billing? Monthly Per hour What KPIs are you using to determine campaign success? Traffic Conversions/Sales What tools are you going to use for? Rank Checking/Error Checking (SEO Moz assumed) Quick 404 error checking Task management (try trello) Let me know a little bit more about what you are looking for and we can build upon your questions. Regards, @bnspak

  • Well, that could be your easy solution. Make sure they're all set not to be indexed, then you'll be able to (mostly) ensure Google won't crawl them, and they'll probably disappear from your moz crawl report as well. As far has how moz is finding them to begin with behind your login wall, sorry, I have no idea.

  • Looks like AoV and I posted at the same time. AoV is exactly right. We're both pretty much saying the same thing. Add a Cols parameter and you should be good to go. Good luck!

  • We use SEMrush to get a general idea. They project search engine traffic based on KW volume and position. The numbers are wrong, but the proportions are usually close; e.g., they think we had 20k visitors in March and 10k visitors in April, and we actually had 40k visitors in March and 20k visitors in April. It will get you in the right order of magnitude, at least.
