Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • Andrew, Log into your account, now go to >Campaigns.     then >View this Campaign. Scroll down to "Keyword Rankings", then click on >See all Keyword Rankings. Hover over the keyword you would like information for, then 2 icons will appear. Click on the rightmost icon that looks like an EKG chart. Scroll down to the "Ranking Analysis on" portion of the report. There you will find 34 parameters your keyword and URL are graded on. You will find a button just below and to the left of "Ranking Analysis on" that says "Run Full Report" you get 50 free report per month. So knock yourself out.

  • Hi Theresa, Thanks for writing in and sorry that your rankings are looking off in the Web App. I'm not sure why you would be getting different results in the Web App rankings than you would be getting when you run the searches yourself; it could be a lot of things. The search engines - Google, Yahoo! & Bing - all maintain multiple indices that run across multiple datacenters. This means if you query different datacenters, you can get somewhat different ranking results. Other elements, such as personalization, geography and search history (even if you're logged out of your Google/search engine account) can also influence ranking positions. Hence, there can be a lot of variation in what different people, searching from different computers/locations might see in the rankings. Our solution has been to run searches from a variety of IP addresses and IP blocks using non-personalized, search history/location agnostic requests. In our experience, these have provided the most accurate results, showing what the "most" users see, though we know there's still quite a bit of room for fluctuation. If you have suggestions about how we might improve the technical process of fetching rankings data to get better data, please let us know and we'll pass it on to our engineering team. We're always looking for ways to get you better data. In the meantime, I can try to see if it's a bug on our side if you can let us know by emailing help@moz.com and provide... 1. The campaign that is having this issue 2. The login email address for the account that the campaign is part of 3. The keyword and URL combination that is having discrepancies 4. The ranking that you're getting in Google versus what the Web App tells you. This way I'll be able to check it out on my side to see if it's a bug or something else. Thanks so much! Hope that helps! • That's a major glitch David if that happened .... I would suggest something that needs to be checked out, as you indicate, there was a fall back in place previously, is that not the case with the new update ? Oh, and a glitch that took me about 6 minutes of my life responding to an issue I never assumed could be as you described the solution as

  • Hey Johan, It looks like you've also written an email into our Help Desk and I've replied by email, as well, but I wanted to follow up here also for your reference. -- Unfortunately, we don't have a way to sort out the data in the Keyword Difficulty tool into specific sections. All of the functions are set and the list is just meant to catalog the keywords you've checked in the past, so there isn't currently a way to break that data out into sections. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience that causes. Here's the feature request forum we use to collect ideas: http://seomoz.zendesk.com/forums/293194-seomoz-pro-feature-requests You can add your request to categorize the keywords in your Keyword Difficulty tool list into separate sections and vote for other features you'd like to see, both of which help our product team in deciding what to build next. I hope his helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions. -- Chiaryn Help Team Ninja

  • Thanks Miriam, appreciate your input! Perhaps Google will add a way for Local results to represented as a group. We work with many chain restaurants and currently need to set up Google+ Local pages for each unit, which seems a bit overkill when there are 100 branches! As far as I know there isn't a way around this. Cheers, Paul

  • Are you looking for domains that link to the root domain golffacility.com? If so, be sure to filter for "pages on this root domain" in the linking domains report. Here's the link: http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/domains?page=1&site=golffacility.com&sort=domain_authority&target=domain ...which shows over 600 linking domains. Or individual links here: http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/links?page=1&site=golffacility.com&sort=page_authority&filter=&source=&target=domain&group=0 Now, OSE will only show you up to 25 links from each domain. We've found that beyond this number, the value of each new link you find doesn't add much value. (often these are caused by sitewide links) By comparison, if you search ahrefs for links to just the homepage, they list 14 links, consistent with OSE: https://ahrefs.com/site-explorer/refdomains/exact/golffacility.com

  • Cynthia, There really isn't such a thing as a conclusive list of links for a site as new links are oftent being added, old ones rot away, and worthless ones may or may not show up on a report.  Besides OSE, other backlink tools such as majesticseo.com and ahrefs.com exist. Each have their strengths and weakness according to any particular user's needs.

  • Hi there! Thanks for your patience, if you need a list of all the keyword and their labels, there's a few ways to accomplish that: 1. From our rankings dashboard, simply look to the right of the screen and find the drop down.  From there select "full rankings report to CSV."  http://screencast.com/t/iVMLE1UZvcTk . After that simply hit export then we will compile a CSV for you with your latest list of keywords plus all the data associated with them. 2. Same method as above, you can also export your whole entire history of into a CSV.  Simply choose the last option on the drop down menu stated "Entire keyword ranking history to CSV."  Simply hit export, our system will then take a few hours and produce every keyword you ever track since the beginning of your campaign. Hope that was helpful, please let me know if you have any more questions about our tool ~Peter SEOmoz Help Team.

  • Hi Adrian, Sort of. Here's an example of how this works. You want to conduct a search for the keyword - SEO - for the sub-domain www.seomoz.org. If you choose the "Exact URL" radial, we'll only look for that keyword ranking on that particular page (i.e. SEO on www.seomoz.org). If you choose the "Entire Subdomain" radial, we'll look for that keyword ranking on any page within that sub domain. Unfortunately, neither of these apply if you're trying to gather rankings data for your root domain because we currently don't look for ranking data for root domains in Rank Tracker   Unlike our campaigns, Rank Tracker doesn't include any subdomains if you type in a root domain and choose the 'Entire Subdomain" radial. • Christiaan, it seems that you link multiple times to your homepage using a wrong syntax. You need to add "http://" in front of "www" Check out the image: http://imgur.com/PDqmjq0 Cheers!
