Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • Hey Jérémie! Sorry that you're bumping into that error. If your site's homepage is returning a 200 response code, you should be okay with continuing the process and ignoring that message. We have a lot of customers using a .co.uk address and I don't think there's an issue with those sites, but if you continue to notice this error with other .co.uk sites, let me know! For now, though, I think this is an isolated incident. Send us an email at help@seomoz.org if you continue having issues after setup and your first crawl. Hope this helps!

  • The nofollow meta tag can be seen from the MozBar's Analyze Page > Page Attributes. At the top the Meta Robots field will show the tag information. Nofollow attributes added to individual links can be seen from the MozBar using the Highlight Links or Text button (a pen icon located next to the Analyze Page button). Simply select "nofollow" and all visible links on a page will appear highlighted in pink.

  • The tool is updated about once a month, with the next scheduled update being a week from now. http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/about gives more information about the crawling and why it can take up to 60 days for your links to show. The calendar for updates is at http://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/345964-linkscape-update-schedule.

  • You named the video "SGS Hanuman" which generally means that is the phrase you are targeting. Your video is the #1 result for the search phrase "SGS Hanuman".

  • The free API is good for up to 1 million lookups each month. 3 million would cost $300/month, and it's a $100 for every million after that. Pricing info here.

  • I'll try that; in the meantime, I've been using Yahoo to find links.

  • I agree with Gianluca and will add an explanation which might make things a bit clear. If you have a 10 page website, your home page probably has a link to the other 9 pages. That is 10 links. If all pages have a navigation bar which links to the other pages including the linking page then that is 100 links. If you also have duplicate navigation links in the footer, there is another 100 links. If you have links to the same pages for "print' versions, "sort acending", "sort descending", etc. there are even more links. In this sense, you can have a simple 10 page site with hundreds of links. I am not clear exactly how OSE works with internal links but I do not find this information helpful and wish there was a way to exclude them. When using the OSE tool itself, there are 4 filters (drop-down boxes) at the top of the page. The settings I use are: followed+301, only external, pages on this sub-domain, group by domain. There are reasons to vary those settings at times, but this setup creates my preferred view of back links.

  • Yahoo actually applies their own criteria to the results.  It's one of the "features" they claimed set them apart from Bing when the deal was consummated.

  • Ok, better now Well, it seems a good link profile: you have 240 linking root domain and 192 of them are from different c-blocks and of those 240 root domains 205 are followed.

  • You can do it using the rank checker tool. From what I know that tool will see a revamp and totally integrated in the app, where - I suppose - a manual actualization will be available.

  • Thanks for your response! Do you know if there is specific info on how OSE incorporates the social signals into PA? I am wondering how DA would directly influence PA if there are no internal links to the page. Theoretically the page should have a PA of 0 regardless of the DA if there are no links pointing to the page anywhere on the web with the exception of social mentions. Thanks, Evan

  • No Problem.  As other posters said, it may take some time till the new crawl results are updated in OSE. I have noticed many links to our site that are not included in OSE.
