Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • the moz tools track exact match traffic. If you want borad match traffic use google analytics or wp dashboard and manually add the stats to your reports. This can be done quite quickly in excel.

  • SEOmoz linkscape presents both, that's why you can filter them to see just external nofollowed links or just internal ones.

  • I'm talking about the "Crawl Diagnostics" – the report that SEOMoz delivers after it crawls my entire site on a weekly basis. When I export this to CSV, I don't see the Page Authority score anywhere. Column AM (referrer) is the last column in this report.

  • Hi, The reason that the Crawl Diagnostics report is divided into three different sections is because the impact of the things highlighted within is completely different. Warnings are there because it is a known fact that "Pages with crawl warnings are often penalized by search engines." It is up to you whether you take notice of them, and obviously if you have specific conditions on those pages, such as the presence of a noindex meta tag, then obviously you may choose not to bother adding them. That doesn't actually make the function spammy. It just means that the warning isn't relevant for your particular situation. Requiring the App to check pages with the noindex meta against pages that have missing meta descriptions and remove them from the reporting would add a whole other layer of complexity to the tool. In short, the tool is meant to identify pages with missing meta descriptions. It does that very well. If you don't need to use the information then you are free to ignore it. Sha

  • Thanks Sha.  The content is "ours" - at least in so far as we've pulled it from retailer sites and or affiliate networks and modified to fit our needs...so not entirely ours, not a pure duplicate either.  We do operate a fund raising site which shares the content which is something which I hadn't considered until now...will have to decide how to handle the duplication across the two sites.  That said - the rest of your points are well taken and appreciated.  We'll have to do some further research into the javascript points and determine how to best handle.

  • Things should be working now. On Friday OSE and Linkscape (and lsapi) were down, but that came back about 5pm Pacific time on Friday. If re-adding the extension doesn't work, it's time to email the help desk at help@seomoz.org.

  • Hi Charles, Sorry to see that your question hasn't been answered yet! I just stumbled upon it way down in the list, so am assuming that you still need an answer. First, you are absolutely correct in deducing that the default Traffic Data report is based on weekly data from Google Analytics. You can also see Monthly data by going from the report you see in the campaign overview to the Traffic Data page (either click See Full Traffic Summary, or click Traffic Data on the Pro App menu bar). Once on the summary page, you will see that there is a selector at the top which allows you to change the filter to monthly instead of weekly. It is important to remember that these Analytics results are for the preceding period (ie the past 30 days, not month to date). Hope that helps, Sha

  • Are you able to pass along a URL for this? It's a little hard to troubleshoot without knowing more details. If you're still having this problem and don't want to share the URL here, drop a note to the help desk at help@seomoz.org and they can also try to sort it out for you.

  • Adobe has a huge #1 ranking that I doubt gets them any traffic, other than SEOs using it to prove a point. Same with Apple Quicktime, Yahoo Maps, and almost anyone else who ranks highly for "Click Here". An extreme example, but one that's useful to show that traffic and rankings aren't the same.
