Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • I don't quite get what your question is, could you expand on it a bit? S

  • Dennis Go to OpenSiteExplorer.org and put in the url. Before the links are listed there are 6 tabs across the top with the first being Inbound Links. You want to be on this tab. It will say Show    ALL  Links from (Internal, External, All) pages to this page. If you want to see only followed set at show FOLLOWED links from EXTERNAL ONLY..... Then hit filter. Once it populates you can download in CSV format. Best

  • Ghulam You can run up to 5 campaigns using up to 300 total keywords between them. Any one campaign will crawl up to 10,000 pages. Go to 'My Account' then Billing and Subscriptions and it lays all out simply. Best

  • OSE share data is based on page rather than domain, so that's a massive number of shares for a single page! It almost certainly has to be a follower/like service. They're a dime a dozen. If they were running significant facebook ads you would expect their facebook page likes to be much higher than 25.

  • Hi Brian, So sorry that you didn't get a response before now. I've seen another report of this in Q&A as well. The help desk staff generally doesn't hang out in Q&A, which is why you didn't get an answer from them here. Can you please email them at help@seomoz.org with this information and open a ticket so they can work on fixing this glitch? Thanks! Martijn Scheybeler does report in the other question that What "worked" for me was waiting for a minute and re trying to download the export. Most times the second attempt was successful. It's just a work around eventually. I would also recommend reporting this to the Moz team so they will have more user data to solve this problem.

  • Martijn - Thanks. That's worked for me before as well, but I was having no success yesterday! I'll raise it with Moz

  • Turns out i was wrong.  Take a look at this. Some sort of russian spam has created 1000s of backlinks for this site to the non-www pages.  The weirdest part is when you visit those pages, they are forums, full of literally thousands of seo type spam posts full of links.  And it gets even weirder.  If you google translate those pages, the links to this site are using anchor text that is seemingly irrelevent.  Like "buy barbie dolls online" or "best chicken noodle soup".  WTF?! Why would anyone linkbuild like that? is there actually a benefit to having obscure anchor text pointing at your root domain? This is beyond bizarre.

  • no its not personal results in my case, as I have it turned off, and seoMoz staff see the same results when they check manualy. i have alerted them to my resulsts and they are at a loss to see why. They also are concerned and they also want things right, but are at a losss to explain it. It would not hurt to give feedback, just to let them know, there is a feedback tab on the left as you can see, it may be better to use the feebackk tab on actual page as that may give them theat info.

  • Hi Susanna, The Social Data is pulled daily from the APIs provided by Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.  The numbers might seen low for a few different reasons: First, the Facebook share count is only for those accounts that are public which reduces the number of shares we can truly see. Second, Twitter only counts the native Twitter share and not when people do a tweet with an RT in front.  Hence the lower numbers you might see. If you are seeing any other issues, please let us know by sending us an email at help@seomoz.org.

  • Hi Stefano, First of all, I would like to thank you for the help.  I really appreciate it. I have tried to implement the (http://perishablepress.com/press/2009/03/29/4g-ultimate-user-agent-blacklist/) and it seems that it minimized the scrapers visiting my site.  I paired it with blocking specific domains and IPs. Once this are applied,  an error occurs every time I add a picture into my posts.   What do I need to remove in the list of blocked bots to allow the adding of pictures? by the way, I am using wordpress as my CMS. Thanks in advance...

  • There is a Feedback tab over on the far left of the screen when logged into SEOmoz, not easy to spot as it's in a strange location. Agree with you that it would be a helpful feature to have, good luck with the request
