Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • Thank you Martijn, I will do that and update.

  • Not really automate the process. You see there's a lot of possible keywords and we are thinking of focusing first on those keywords that our competitor is using. So in a way getting some ideas on which keywords they are using.

  • Hi Zsolt, There isn't a way to currently see this, but the team right now is looking at things we can do to improve the Q&A experience, and I'll forward this thread to the rest of the team  as a suggestion. Thanks for writing about it!

  • Inbound links are links you receive from external websites. So the internal links won't show up there. Try looking at your robots.txt file to see if you have any exlusions in it. The data will be different in a few weeks of course, but you'll still be comparing apples and pears Inbound links = from external sources. Internal links = your site linking to different pages on your root domain

  • Hi Alex, As far as I'm aware the crawl will always come back to the day that the first crawl was scheduled. However, if you want to find out for sure, the quickest way to get a response would be to email the help team direct - help [at] seomoz.org. Hope that helps, Sha

  • Patrick, SEOmoz only crawls once a month as they need time to process the data from the crawl. It is likely you will show up corrected within the next few weeks. If you did it just after a crawl and had to wait a month it would then be a couple of weeks before results show. So, likely within 6-7 weeks from when you removed redirect.  Hope this helps

  • It seems there is an issue with OSE so I can't see any link data for the site. The site you mentioned is clearly a spam site with links to "office cleaning London" and other links on it's home page which are completely irrelevant for a Carribean diving site. I am not sure what you mean "they don't link out to anyone". I see many links on their site. I checked a couple and the links work fine.

  • Linkscape, the data source for Open Site Explorer, was just updated on November 2nd. It is normally updated once/month but the SEOmoz team is working to enhance the process which can affect the update timeline. The crawler sees the top 25% of webpages. It does not crawl 100% of the internet. For the most part, if the SEOmoz crawler does not see the link, it does not have much (if any) value. If you built the links prior to November, then they should be visible in the next update. Bookmarking can be very valuable if the bookmark is used and visible. For example, if you get your bookmark to the front page of a site and it is promoted in any way. If you simply add a bookmark which is otherwise not used and located on a buried page, it likely has no value. A Press Release which is offered by PRWeb or other reputable companies and is picked up has value. Some press releases are simply not seen or valued. If you can earn links from quality, reputable sites then those links will be quickly found by Linkscape, and even faster by Google. Links from a site's home page, or links from a strongly reputable site from a popular web page are helpful. One strong link is often worth more then 100 random links. Go for quality.

  • Hi again, If it is queued then you should be fine. SEOmoz Associates and staff do check questions periodically and would be able to either flag your question with the Help team (Associates don't have access to your account), or deal directly with the problem. This may take some time to happen though, depending on when you post and when they happen to visit. If it is something that actually needs investigation or action from SEOmoz, then the quickest way to get an answer is to send it straight to the Help team. Sha

  • Thanks Keri. To save anyone else the time of searching through the thread, here's the actual answer from that thread below: (from Rand, Sept 16, 2011) "Unfortunately, there's no one at Moz right now with the time to invest in understanding/fixing/repairing. We think we've got bigger/better plans for something much more useful along this trajectory once the Linkscape work is done, but that won't be for some time. In the meantime, we maintain the tool "as is" in Labs. If you find it useful, great, but Labs is an area where we don't do maintenance of have guarantees on availability/accuracy."
