Why did I drop off the face of the earth for bing but am #1 in google and yahoo?
It is odd for you to be listed as #1 in Yahoo but not listed in Bing. Can you please share your site URL and the keyword involved?

Keyword Ranking Fluctuation
Like the approach you take to smooth things out, and agree that client education is important. I hope that my clients focus on KPI's that really matter to their business (conversions!) and not get bogged down chasing rankings! Although it is important for them to understand why ranking matter and how we track them. If you see negative changes in keywords that were getting you good click-throughs/conversions then you need to do something about it.

What's Your Thought About Market Samurai as An SEO Tool Compared to SEOMoz?
Market Samurai's keyword research is just a front-end to the google keyword tool. I must admit. I do like the ability in MS to keep the keyword research together, but find myself more often than not using Google's tool directly. I don't find MS's way of assessing the competitiveness of keywords too useful. It's all very nice knowing how many pages are being displayed in the SERPS or have keywords in their title tag, but this doesn't tell you how easy it's going to be to get your page into a competitive position. This is where I find SEOmoz's keyword difficulty tool incredibly valuable. I prefer having SEOmoz collect my ranking/traffic data automatically over having to manually update MS. SEOMoz give you a lot - on-page analysis, social reports, link analysis etc, but it really does depend on what you need and what your budget is, My advice would be to try both and see which one helps you achieve your goals as quickly and easily as possible. Based on the benefits I have directly experienced, and the added value I've been able to provide my customers, I would choose SEOMoz. Hope this helps.

DA or PA for link building strenght
Casey, Devlive, and Slava, Thank you for the interesting responses. I am wondering, as I stop around PA 20 (I don't go below that) in OSE, what is the smallest DA that you guys would target, keeping in mind that I only want to incorporate sites in it for the long haul.

How to download an entire Website (HTML only), ready to rehost
Thanks for the detailed explanation. If you know of any software or techniques to crawl and download multiple (html) pages and images of a site then please let me know. There are many programs designed to crawl websites and grab the html code. Legitimate sites are often duplicated in this manner. You can try searching a couple relevant terms or searching black hat seo sites.

Your opinion on this opportunity's difficulty?
Gotcha - thanks! You're absolutely right, engineers do tend to overthink things. I've realized that it's hard to get a sense of the optimal thinking/doing ratio in a given situation. When designing bridges, it's very different than when hitting a baseball. I'm not very good at either of those (don't worry - I attempt either of them either!) I've launched the site, but as you recommended, I won't go wild publicizing it until it's got a critical mass of great content. Thanks, -matt

Some questions on Canonical tag AND 301 redirect
Most likely. Unless the parameters are greatly changing the content on the page, rather than simply sorting, you will want to block them or just use a canonical tag.

Need assistance with tool development using SEOMoz & Google APIs
Hey John, Shoot me a message directly and maybe we can figure something out that is beneficial to both our companies. We do extensive work both with the SEOMoz API and Google API (I assume you mean Google Analytics, but we have also worked with several of their other API options as well). Russ

Domain vs. page authority?
Yes, unless your desire is to have the home page rank higher. Typically a link to a domain is to the home page.

How often does Organic Traffic Data update?
Oh, by the way. There are several different reports in the Web App that all update at different times. 1. Your Crawl - Each crawl takes about one week to complete and process the results. Generally, you'll see the results 5-7 days after the beginning of your crawl. If it's been significantly longer than that, contact the help team (help@seomoz.org) The date of your crawl is dependent on the day you first set up your campaign. This cannot be changed. 2. Rankings - Once per week. Because rankings are checked independent of your crawl, the actual date they update in your campaign may be different than your crawl. 3. Traffic - Once per week. Always Monday though Sunday. 4. Link Analysis - About once per month, following updates in the Linkscape Index

Great Britain or United Kingdom?
I think that is the same, I check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Kingdom http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Britain maybe they do it because some know the area like United Kingdom and some Like Great Britain.

What is the time range of social media metrics of Open Site Explorer?
Hi Cristian, The numbers shown in OSE are pulled directly from APIs, and are not connected to the Linkscape index in any way. Also, I should note that the numbers shown only show the data for specific page you are looking at. They are not showing total FB shares, likes and Tweets, etc. for the entire domain. You can get more of that information for your client by using the Social tab inside of a campaign. You can get more detailed information about the data used for the Social information in OSE here. Hope that helps, Jen
