Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • Hi Stayin, Check out Rand's response at http://www.seomoz.org/q/seomoz-rocks-but-is-it-breaking-google-s-webmaster-guidelines-when-it-comes-to-check-rankings to a similar question.

  • Hi Luke, There's certainly not a quick answer, especially if you've been penalized. #1 thing I would do is claim as many local directory listings as possible and make sure your site is properly localized from a keyword stand-point. I've worked with lots of local florists, and still do, including my own wife's shop.  I'd be happy to have a look for you. Duane

  • As above really.  Build links by offering your products to bloggers for product reviews, this is dependent on value of your products, relevant blogs will also drive traffic and sales too. You also want to make sure you can get most/all of your products in GoogleBase (shopping feed) to maximise your organic visibility, check our Google's Merchant Center.

  • Good call Francisco.  I checked GWT and forums are driving an insane amount of links.  I wonder why some tools capture this and some don't? In any case, thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

  • The Moz team has been working to continually index and catalog more links all the time.  It's very likely this is just a case where they have more links in the system.  (They went from 60 billion URLs up to a whopping 150 billion URLs in just the past update alone, that took place a couple weeks ago).

  • Hey Larry! Sometimes larger sites will spin for a while. Sorry about the delay on the starter crawl. I just checked your campaigns out and it looks like you have full crawls for each of them. Not sure what happened there.

  • Hi, If you connect your analytics to your webmaster tools, you can indeed see some (rough) estimates on Search Engine CTR (and more). This you will find under 'traffic sources'=>search engine optimization. For comparing current traffic with earlier time periods you can click the checkbox 'compare to previous period' in the date range selection menu. The report will then also show % changes in traffic etc. On the point of what keywords to use, look around the SEOmoz website for 'keyword research' topics. That topic is far too broad to be answered in this thread. A good starting point might be the keyword research section of the SEO Guide. Best of luck!

  • Hey Gareth, It actually looks like we are having a universal issue with the expiration cookie on our site. We are currently looking into the issue and are working on fixing the problem as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience while we work on this problem.

  • I  have been struggling with both Excel and Numbers to open the CSV files in order to get everything as they should be. But, I tried the spreadsheet at Google Docs a few minutes ago and the result was perfect

  • I am still struggling with this. I am using Numbers on my Mac, and I have tried to change the file extension to txt, but I'm still seeing everything in one column.

  • OSE is not set up to show every possible link. It is showing the more relevant/significant links and most state that it shows about a fourth of the total. So, the question re: reliable, is yes it is reliable; the links shown are there and the PA/DA, anchor text, etc. are accurate. What it will not show is every link.  Also, it won't show newer links but if you look after a recent update is published and a link is not there, look again after the next and you should see the newer link. Best

  • Actually, the bots may not show up in GA because it's a javascript logging system. However, if you have access to AWstats or some log file on your server, you may be able to get the information that way. I'd find out what stats system you have on your server, then start doing searches for people that have already written tools to do what you want.

  • 24 hours isn't out of the ordinary.  I've had a site with a blog that took close to 3 days to complete a full crawl.  You could use the report card page if you're looking for an update regarding those changes for a specific page or two.

  • I called them and they say no they don't provide the social results or keyword ranking. However they said they use an API called silo. This makes no sense to me, I googled for silo and its just an SEO technique for structuring your site.
