Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • There is currently no way unless you are running an active campaign to track the DA / PA. There is no function (or at least none I know of ) to see past DA / PA values. That might very well be on a number of wish lists and something in the offing....  but for now - no dice.  I think the costs for rolling this out and the infrastructure needed has in the past made it not possible. On a separate note, there is a historical page rank checker here:  http://www.seomoz.org/toolbox/pagerank For anyone wondering what PA (Page Authority) and DA (Domain Authority are, here is a good article: http://www.seomoz.org/learn-seo/domain-authority

  • I think I'm becoming anal retentive. Just today, I took the time to contact two "seo" companies with linked articles from the Learn Seo page to let them know that they might want to redirect their broken links! I can't imagine having a link like that and letting it just crumble in to little 1s and 0s, not to mention I didn't get the info I was wanting. I'm sure they'll think I'm nuts. I then start thinking to myself, "self, you might know a thing or two" and then another robot and his tag issue come whack me back in my place... thanks for the confirmation Cyrus. I just found out there's a support forum for this kind of thing..probably a better place for these  issues.

  • Hello Mike, Are you familiar with the MozRank and MozTrust metrics? If not, I recommend checking out the following pages: http://www.seomoz.org/learn-seo/mozrank http://www.seomoz.org/learn-seo/moztrust In brief, they are link metrics. If your site has not earned links during the past 6 months, those metrics should not change. MozRank, MozTrust, PA and DA are all based on the SEOmoz web crawler. It takes 30-60 days to capture data and process it. If you have waited 6 months and still do not see data there are one of several issues: your site has not earned any links your site has earned links but not from any quality websites your sites has earned links but the pages which contain the links are buried deeply, or the linking site has code which is difficult to crawl any sites which link to you are blocked via robots.txt or the pages have the noindex tag applied If your site has earned authentic links and you are willing to share your site address then we can take a further look. Please include the URL of some pages which link to your website and an approximate date of when the link was earned. If you feel confident you have earned authentic links over 60 days ago, then you can take Host1's advice and contact the SEOmoz help team (help@seomoz.org).

  • Hi James, Sorry for any confusion! The reports from the traffic page should show all of traffic to your site and, while it is broken down into branded keywords and non-branded keywords (if you have brand rules), the actual traffic from the non-branded keywords and the total traffic would include all searches that are sending traffic to your site based on Google Analytics traffic data and not just the keywords you are tracking through our site. If this doesn't seem to be the case for your campaign, I would recommend that you send in a ticket with your campaign information to help@seomoz.org so we can look into the issue for you. I hope this helps! Chiaryn

  • MozTrust isn't quite a measure of "trust" in the sense of link quality, per se. It was designed to mimic TrustRank, a factor we believe Google uses to supplement PageRank. What MozTrust and TrustRank (theoretically - we can't see in the black box) do is to take a set of trusted seed sites and determine how close in the link-graph any given site is to them. If your site is closely linked to sites like CNN and WhiteHouse.gov, for example (I'm honestly not sure what's in the seed set these days), you're more likely, on average, to be a trustworthy site. Of course, as with Google, this is just one of hundreds of potential ranking factors. One measure we've found useful in some cases is the ration of MozTrust to MozRank. If you have ton of raw link-juice (MR) but your trust level is very low (MR), then it's often a poor quality sign. We tend to use DA/PA more than MozRank these days, as they're based on a more complex model. Still, none of these factors look at the actual quality of the linking site or the "spamminess", per se. MR/DA/PA are primarily measures of the strength of your link profile, and MT is just one measure of potential quality. It appears that Penguin tweaked multiple factors in the Google algorithm and may even be use them in conjunction, so even if we saw Google's own data, we probably couldn't pin it to just one thing.

  • Heres some 2010 data showing google /overall/ share going up http://www.adept-seo.co.uk/uk-search-engine-usage-statistics-2010.html Last stat I heard from an SEO was about 90%+ use .co.uk, but I've never seen their source As a way out finding out the comparision, you could identiify what causes people to not be re-directed correctly, and then work out what % of users that is (as that should be most of everyone unless your dealing with tech crowd) That would also answer if it is possable or not to track the data. On boosting your rankings If they're on .com and not showing the uk pages, then they're being treated as an international. In which case anything that would boost traffic from the US for example, would probably work on them as well. Namely Global relivence signals. Of course, if your UK only, this might be somewhat difficult to do.

  • Another recommendation for this would be Xenu's Link Sleuth too. It's a free application that will crawl your entire domain and report titles, metadata, broken links, header response codes amongst a load of other relevant metrics and will allow you to sort by any data along with display a report too.

  • Hello Thomas I understand your point that if usually an financial investment gets a good enough return in an ideal situation with unlimited funds you just go for it, but in the real world unlimited funds don't exist usually. The 95% occupancy throughout the year is only because I've worked at getting every aspect of the business correct the facilities of the cottage after this spot on with the films tour etc. the other properties I represent on the same website and not quite as good and do not get the same occupancy rates so you've just got to get everything correct it appears. I can see the you probably would get diminishing returns at some point on search engine results in comparison to time input but I've never got their because I've probably managed at this moment in time to get around 60% of the high traffic keywords working for me above the fold on page 1 of Google but there's still room for improvement. Only limited by time and money But like you I love SEO it's become a way of life which is enjoyable on many levels.
