Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • Hi Drew, That's a great suggestion. One area I often see Google report 404s or other errors is from external links, whereas your SEOmoz PRO campaign is based on an internal crawl. You can also find additional errors in Open Site Explorer, under the "Top Pages" tab and look for error response codes. This is also based on external linking factors, so it might be a fairly easy implementation to integrate this with the PRO web app. Did you know SEOmoz has a feature request forum? Member can submit their ideas, and others can vote on them. The product team uses this for project planning and to allocate resources. You can submit your suggestions here: https://seomoz.zendesk.com/forums/293194-seomoz-pro-feature-requests Thanks for the awesome feedback. Best of luck with your SEO.

  • There's the keyword difficulty research tool: http://pro.seomoz.org/tools/keyword-difficulty But if you're asking about search volumes I don't think so - someone may correct me on that though : ) Hope that helps!

  • Hi Justin, Nothing for you to worry about, particularly if the old site was recently removed. OSE is updated once a month as far as I'm aware, so it will always be a little bit behind. OSE also had a delay recently with the index, so I'd expect the correct results to be showing up for you within a couple of weeks. Hope that helps Justin

  • Hi, Our competitors are bigger and have more money than us. Not to mention the site before I joined was just left to rot, so its well behind. I have built up a strong social network and I am currently trying to increase the number of back links we have. Was around 9 root domains when I joined, now up to 55. But our competitors have something silly for there numbers. So I feel if I can use these links to at least get us something, then it must help a bit. I am being picky and I am using other means of getting links such as twitter, facebook, blog articles published and writing my own unique content. Really just need to get more links pointing to us, the more from relevant fields the better. Is there anything within SEOMoz Tools that can look for blogs in your industry (ie. Designer Menswear?) or is that a case of looking, looking and looking some more? Cheers

  • The easiest way is to go to our "Campaigns" page and next to each of your campaign names is "Settings." Go here and scroll down to "Google Analytics Connection:" and then you can disconnect from that one and add the right one. Let me know if you have any other questions! Google Analytics Connection:

  • In being transparent and holding yourself accountable, don't forget to also be generous with yourself! My teachers/coaches/ and friends have adeptly pointed out that being passionate and driven can make us our own worse critic, and then we are hardest on ourselves. In the very act of practicing generosity with yourself you become more generous and empathetic with others. It may be more difficult to practice that type of generosity than to hold yourself accountable.

  • Hi thanks. Interaction is good I think. I am having decent chatter with customer base and also receiving followers, tweets, retweets and recommendations from football players, dj's, musicians, local celebs, actors, tv/media personalities etc.. so i feel I am getting our name out there. I will continue what I am doing and take a look at your link, looks useful. Thanks again.

  • If it's isolated to just SEOmoz, I would recommend using the SEOmoz help system (link in upper right) and submitting a ticket.  Provide some detail so they know what to look into.  Because it doesn't come across as being anything other than a bug or who knows what. It shouldn't fluctuate, as far as I can figure.

  • Domain Authority is definitely going to matter here, but honestly not that much. Your strength is that you can work a lot more for your local area / niche and can have a lot more local links compared to the national sites. I would find out ways to get links from local businesses, non profits and other communities and organizations. I would also suggest looking into doing some sorts of small events / meetups for potential clients to come and ask questions. You could also organize some activities / contests for kids. I would also look at opportunities to work with specific real estate communities and sponsor some of their events with gifts. You could also setup a photo booth there for people to take pictures and then provide them a digital or paper copy of their picture towards the end of the day (Print them at a local Walgreens and have somebody pick them up or if it's cost effective to have a decent quality photo printer that can handle volume). The photo op could have your URL / Brand in the background in a creative way along with the year and name of the event. Again, I think the intent is to think of this as a Brand Building Technique. Links, Mentions and Citations will come along with them.

  • I believe you should be able to see in the crawl diagnostics sections. Look for any 4xx (404) errors, this will indicate missing pages. Although I think you cna use Google Webmaster Tools and use the crawl diagnostics section which gives you a list of referring inbound links to the missing pages. Of course the first thing you should do though is generate 301 redirects from the deleted pages to another page you want the inbound links pointed at. http://www.seomoz.org/learn-seo/redirection

  • Alan does have the best response here. We do have a bug with some users not getting their credit, so emailing the help desk will help them to track this and figure it out, and they'll be able to give you your credit as well.
