Need some advice on long tail keyword research and general SEO methods.
Sounds like a good plan. On a blog like mine where you are adding more content each day, I'm assuming it's ok to have lots of days where you are just telling the story and not really trying to attract a lot of organic traffic for the post. I try to attract organic with every post, but sometimes it seems like the post is more to my existing readers, if that makes senese.

PowerReviews - any current customers out there?
We use Power Reviews Express. There are no SEO benefits since it's a javascript widget that pulls their review content into the user's browser during page load. However, they do have a more-expensive inline-SEO version that will put spiderable content on your page. I's say we're very happy with PR so far.

Article Marketing Campaign - Who uses them, Who doesn’t? Why or Why not?
Thanks for adding your comment. I'm curious, is this for the research chemicals site in your profile, or a different site? For the research chemicals it looks like you're targeting "buy (brand name ED medicine)", which has a bit of a different competition landscape than many peoples' sites.

What is the actual difference between image ads and display ad builder in google adwords?
Hi Madhuker, As I mentioned in your other post, you have full control over your display ad network. You can exclude any display network you do not want to be on by locating the "Networks" tab and managing your placements within that window, or you can use the placement toll under "Tools & Analysis" As for the image ads taking a while to be approved, this is very normal, sometimes it takes days for approval.

Google Shopping
The feeds definitely have impact on SEO as its the main data that helps them organize and list your product on their engine. Make sure the title & description has the important keywords (short + long tail ones). Don't do keyword stuffing though as it could just be discounted. Google doesn't crawl your website to pull the data, so you need update the feeds as frequently as possible - making sure the price and other details are up to date. Another factor that affect rankings: Reviews (Google checkout reviews & 3rd party reviews). As I keep saying, reviews are the backlinks when it comes to Google Shopping.

Is there a keyword ranking checker for local results?
Thanks for the recommendation! I have checked out the recommended software. They don't seem to do exactly what I'm looking for. The way they perform their searches is by searching "keyword city". What I am looking for is to change the location in Google and search the keyword without the geo-modifier. The results do come out different and have a big effect on local results. Does anyone know of a software that can search in this way?

Is this a fact?
I think it is a given that more people click on organic vs. PPC by about 85 to 15. (Yes, different verticals will have different results, I am speaking globally here). And, I believe it is a given - and I have seen it with PPC and organic - that those who come through PPC tend to be more "results oriented" in their query and therefore do convert a bit better. I believe the math on the two based on recollection from The Art of SEO:... by Enge, Fishkin, Spencer, and Stricchiola that organic still pays off between 5 and 6 to one. So, while PPC converts better, the fact that organic gets so much more traffic at a lower cost (generally) makes it be the obvious choice whether or not you do PPC. Hope that helps,

Local Directory Lead Tracking Question
Thanks Miriam, these are some great sources! Unfortunately, not seeing much about call lead tracking, but maybe using custom urls and google analytics is the best we can do. Other than making the URL look a little strange, is there any downside of using this method? Thanks again, Gridless

What do you use for SEM documentation?
That's a great question...I actually just rely on a trusty old spreadsheet like you've been using. I never delete ads or keywords unless they are super old. I will do an export after pausing a lot of ads/keywords and make sure I put notes next to each ad/keyword to say why I paused it. Then whenever I do keyword expansion or ad optimization, I reference this sheet and perform a "remove duplicates" search before uploading any new keywords. Would be great if there was a plugin of some sort out there but I just don't know of any off the top of my head. If you find one, let me know. Thanks! -Justin

Anyone used Reporting Suite or another paid tool for analytics reporting?
We are an agency and we have been using Reporting Suite for a while. So far we are more than happy with it: Reports look really professional Solid and robust application Very flexible and powerful capabilities. At the beginning, it looks a little bit hard to use but once you get the concepts it is really simple The Reporting Suite guys keep on adding new features and enhancement continuously Great support It is a hosted application so you don't need to care about anything. We tried in the past some third party applications based on Excels, but they gave us headaches for several reasons The only disadvantage is that you can only pull data from GA, but so far this is not an issue for us. They have plans to add addtional data source in the future. It may not be the cheapest tool, but we believe it is worth it bearing in mind the quality of the reports and our savings in time and effort.
