  • Hi Lepra! Like ViviCa1 recommended, I suggest using Screaming Frog to pull down this data. Along with pulling down a list of your missing H1s, you can see the webpages that might have more than one H1 (which will also negatively impact your SEO)! I highly recommened giving Screaming Frog a try. You can download it here: https://www.screamingfrog.co.uk/seo-spider/ As it was mentioned, if your website has less than 500 URLs you can pull a free Screaming Frog report. If you aren't sure how many pages your website has, you can do a quick check to see how many Google has indexed. In order to check this you can go to Google and search "site:" and then the URL minus the www. (i.e. site:bluecorona.com). This will tell Google to ONLY show pages from this website, thus showing you the number. If it is less than 500, go ahead and use Screaming Frog to pull that report down. Good luck!

  • Hey Not always easy to answer these questions in general terms. Your national keyword indicates how relevant you are for this product / service / widget for non local search queries. Your local keywords indicates how relevant you are for this product / service / widget for local search queries. If you have lots of local competition then you may be stacked behind others that are closer to a given location in the search query (or the user could be closer to the competitor than to you). Lot of assumptions here. Lot of moving parts as well. Location targeted. Organic or pack results. Location of user conducting the search. Local intent behind these keywords. Caveat - It is often hard to advise on these issues with all the information but in a very general way like this it is incredibly hard to give truly accurate and insightful guidance. Hope that helps! Marcus

  • I don't think the best hosting has to be the most expensive, so going by what you can afford isn't the best guideline. If your site is performing well, you have no security concerns, and the hosting company is responsive to support requests, then I'm not sure why you'd need to look for anything else. If you feel you are having trouble ranking well, attracting visits to the site, or converting those visits to customers/members/subscribers (or whatever conversion is appropriate for your business model) then you might want to consider the benefits of a hosting upgrade. Is there a specific issue you are trying to solve?

  • Yes, Because you then get to control what content summary, image and even headline or keyword is used, not to mention you can customize them based on the url. This is helpful in general as it makes your brand more consistent throughout social media, consistency = trust.

  • Hi Jon In that case, if you are doing this for a law firm, lawyer(s) is a totally fine way of going about this because firms usually entail more than one lawyer. Filler words like "in" are usually assumed in this example - when someone types in a service and a location, Google and other search engines will assume that this person is asking specifically in that location. So, in this case, adding "in" won't change the search in my opinion - Google knows what you're looking for. Let me know if I am not answering your question completely - I hope I am! Patrick

  • Hi there Sometimes, this is what Google does. They do it for some of our clients as well. Here's more information at SEW. There are recmomendations from Google saying that your homepage title should have your brand toward the front, while internal pages should have target keywords toward the front of the title tag. I would leave your titles the way they are because if Google wants to change it, they will. Let me know if you have any questions or comments - good luck! Patrick

  • Google is capable of executing javascript. Here's a post from Google on the subject. You can see how Google sees your page by using Search Console, then fetching and rendering the page. https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/ With that said, I'd opt for the version of Wix, especially if it's limiting your ability to use tools that aren't quite as sophisticated as Google.

  • Roman, Here are my thoughts: 1. Can we PM our followers on twitter or facebook and directly ask? As long as you stick to people you know would be a brand advocate for you, I don't see why not. 2. Which medium is generally most successful? We've generally only done email, but primarily because that's how we communicate with them on a normal basis anyway. 3. What if we tweeted something like: "we need your help, anyone that leaves an honest review on yelp will get _____ (money, gift card, appreciation, etc.) -  I know it's tempting and seems logical to make offers like that, but it violates Google's guidelines. Even if it's not for Google reviews, they might get wind of it and discount those reviews. Reviews are supposed to show a reflection of your business, not what you've offered in exchange for good reviews. 4. Which review site is the best for improving reputation and SERP- google plus, yelp, bbb?  Those 3 are the top ones I'd stick to. 5. Would you recommend sending people to consumer affairs to try to offset the bad rating or to just focus on all the other review sites and have them usurp consumer affairs' position? Definitely try to get some better ratings on CA to cancel out the bad.

  • Just to expand, it may also have an ever so slightly increase on page load time, as the browser tries to download this file. (probably only about 10-50ms or so), so if you can't remove it then it's not really a major concern.

  • You may add some questions or suggestions before the textarea in order to help users to post longer reviews : what you love? on the contrary, what has displeased you? Would you recommend the site / product to a friend? Have you been satisfied with the packaging, delivery ...

  • Hi David, I agree with Tymen—you should continue guest blogging AND building out the content on your own website. The reason why that page ranks so well on the SERPs is because Photography Life's has a high domain authority. If you had posted that guest blog on your own personal website, it is probable that it would not even rank on Page One of Google. By creating more guest blogs for website with high domain authority, you will likely improve your own site's authority—thus increasing the chance of having your site rank better! In all, backlinks are an off-site way of increasing your SEO, rankings, and thus, potentially leads and sales. Backlinks are judged on their domain site quality for users, relevancy to your site’s content, and domain authority. As with most SEO tactics, there are no quick fixes and easy wins within a link building strategy. We've written a blog on what makes a good backlink so be sure to check that out if you need more information. Hope this helps! Good luck.

  • Hi there - Kristina from Moz's Help Team here. Unfortunately at this time our crawler isn't compatible with Server Name Indication (SNI), which appears to be in use on your site. In general, SNI is a totally acceptable security configuration, but our crawler simply isn't equipped to be able to handle these settings. http://screencast.com/t/G5wpkzmO If you are able to disable the SNI configuration on your site, then we should be able to crawl it normally. While it's something that we'd love to be able to accommodate for the future, we don't yet have the resources to be able to make those changes. I found this thread in our Community Q&A forum with lots of other users running into the same problem, so it's definitely something we're aware of and working to address: https://moz.com/community/q/804-https-ssl-error I apologize for the inconvenience, but I hope this helps to explain!

  • Hi Gopi, What you're looking for is the Google Search Console API: https://developers.google.com/webmaster-tools/Once installed it will save the data also after the 90 days. So like Gaston mentions it is not possible to get older data but once you have this API running it will give you the data in the future from the moment it is installed. Good luck! Tymen
