Different URL (not homepage) showing up for main keyword
Hey there, It looks like the 'Boutique Hotels' page has been optimized for the term 'boutique hotels' more effectively than the homepage. Google takes into account a whole bunch of figures when determining the best page on your domain to rank for a particular term. You might find that users stay on site/convert more often when they enter the site on that page - Google might have picked up on that and chosen to serve this page as the best entry point for that journey. I hope this helps, Sean

Why am I not ranking for my main keyword?
Ranking an inside page higher could be a sign of a page-specific or term-specific action. This may tie-in to anchor text over-optimization, since a lot of those links may be pointed at the home-page. I find social comparison of link profiles, so to speak, is rarely useful. We all overestimate the mischief or our competitors and underestimate our own. At the end of the day, though, your link profile is the only one you can control. That said, obviously, adult site link-building is very competitive, very difficult, and often spammy, and the reality of any given industry doesn't always match "best" practices. Unfortunately, I don't have much experience with how to build links in your industry. You've got the advantage of some novelty and a growing interest in VR, but I'm not sure which sources talk about those developments. In many ways, it seems more like a PR challenge.

Export some client data?
Hi there! Tawny from Moz's Customer Support team here. Unfortunately, there's really no good way to transfer data between campaigns. You can always download the data from one campaign and hold onto that file to compare it to the data you see in the other campaign, but I'm afraid there's no way to import data from one campaign into another. Sorry about that! If you've got any further questions for us, feel free to shoot us a note at help@moz.com and we'll get back to ya as soon as we can with some answers.

Lead Conversion on Facebook
If you use lead-IQ.com you can even find out the person's name behind the goal conversions from any source traffic and also facebook of course. Basically it goes deeper than Google Analytics goals which are just number of goals. The problem with GA is that you do not know if those goal conversions are any good, which is a big limitation in GA and Facebook conversion tracking.

Do I submit a sitemap for a highly dynamic site or not? If so, what's the best way to go about doing it?
Like Bernadette already mentioned, it's very important as well for a dynamic site to have a sitemap. It will make sure that the pages that are new are submitted to Google faster then them finding out by themselves what kind of pages are new.

Blogger API and SEO
George, I think it's a great move to move the content over to the company blog. If the content is good, then it should help the overall domain and it's visibility. There are, though, some considerations: Duplicate content. Once you move the content, you don't want it residing in two places. You'll want to see if you can set up a 301 redirect(s) from the old pages to the new location. I don't recall if this is possible with blogger, though. You'll want to check the backlinks to see if you can any of the links pointing to the blogger blog updated to the new location.

Disadvantages of Migrating Website to New URL
Matt Dunlop 4 minutes ago Edit Thank you so much for the reply! I've been working on tracking, analyzing and optimizing this particular website for about a year now. I've optimized my homepage for the best and most specific keyword I can and I've got a 94% optimization score on the page (I can't put the keyword in the URL as it's the homepage). I've added in my competitors into OSE and reviewed their backlinks and besides some local advertising backlinks they have received, my Moz stats are much better than the competition. There is one competitor in particular that is mult-national company and I know that as a small business I don't stand a change in ranking higher than them, however, the other top competitor I have in my local market - does not optimize and still ranks higher than my site. One of the largest frustrations I have with this particular competitor is that the page that results higher than mine has little to no content on it and in other searches (because we are in the same industry) - their homepage will rank higher than my optimized interior pages. We use facebook and link back to our service pages which contain our keywords as often as possible and my crawl from Moz shows 1 missing meta description tag (on a category) and that's it. I did read up on the Moz Blog today and it seems like everything is on-track but there's no progress. I should also mention that the website is built on Wordpress and as far as I know from the stats I am pulling from Moz - I've covered my bases. I'm not sure what other specifics I can offer that might assist me with this challenge. I guess at this point - maybe a second set of eyes on an audit (outside of Moz - because I look at that all the time) is what I need???? If you have any recommendations on a comprehensive site audit, I'd be very interested. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to this.

Custom site to Wordpress transfer
Hello, your new site should have the same analytics code. You can get this code from Google Analytics > Site Admin > Tracking Info > Tracking Code. Depending on how your site was verified you may need to add a meta tag or verify the site through Google Search Console (formerly Webmaster Tools). No data should be lost except for the time when Google Analytics tracking code was missing. Best of luck.

Linkbuilding Strategies for Tourism
Very much outdated - Google want's links that are earned and while there is no harm in having banners on a site, I wouldn't be using it for linkbuilding. -Andy

What would you say is hurting this site, Penguin or Panda?
Hi Bob, I do agree with Krzysztof that an audit would help see what it going on, but something else to keep in mind is that if a side does get hit with a penalty, then they rarely just go back to where they were beforehand. Check the dates in a little more detail to see what they correspond with. -Andy

What are the Google guidelines on embedding a review summary?
I do not believe that having a summary or even those reviews on the page is against guidelines, they just don't want you using third party reviews (those reviews that were not left on your site specifically) to show schema data that they use in SERPs.

Does anyone have any experience with SEONuke TNG?
Hi, I would stay clear of automated software such as SEnuke TNG. It 'simulates clicks' and 'builds links for you' - basically your one-way ticket to a Google Penalty. Yes, there's a chance that this may give you a short term boost in traffic, but rest assured your site will be laid to waste when Google picks up on it and it'll take you months to get it back to normal again. My advice, don't touch it. Keep your 'white hat' on and do SEO right. I hope this helps, Sean

Show Unique User Goal Completions in Analytics Instead of Totals
Hi Robert, Absolutely, that's correct - it will only count as one conversion. If a user comes back and downloads it again, that will be from a new 'session' and yes, this will be another goal conversion. Personally, I don't know any way of looking at Goals by unique users as it's typically a session level metric. Sorry I can't be any more help. Sean

Choice of domain
In terms of SEO, there are no penalties for using a gTLD. Technically you have an equal chance of ranking well for a keyword than those with .com domains. It comes down to preference, marketing and the SEO work you put in. I can see the .training domain working well for marketing to a younger audience, it may be appealing and seem more modern. An older audience may be more accustomed and feel that .com domains are more professional. Exact match keyword domains gained notoriety because they would often get great anchor text when people linked to their website. I don't see why you would have an issue with that because I would naturally link to the site as "Foo Training." To answer your question plainly, no it won't be seen as spammy but the .com may seem more professional and credible to some users. I hope this helped make your decision easier.
