Does replacing of external redirects impact SEO?
Hi Coleman, My question is not exactly the same but you have given right answer in different prospective. As you said we have many external links pointing to our non-existing pages of our website. So we been planning to redirect those to right pages rather than creating pager for such incoming links. Will this helps? We cannot create pages as we already replaced with new pages. My actual question is: We had referred to many external websites from our website or blog pages which are not actually direct links but redirecting and landing. Do we need to replace such links with actual landing pages? Will this helps us anyhow in SEO or completely negligible? For example: If we have mentioned example.com/seo and it's redirecting to example.com/sem. Do we need to replace /seo with /sem here? Thank, Satish

How do I mprove site visibility and keyword ranking for new product site
Hi Sharon! First, I wanted to say that I love the website—the graphics are awesome. I would start by ensuring that any issues on the site are addressed, even if they aren't high priority issues. You want to make sure everything is as tight as possible to ensure you are giving your website the best chance possible to rank. Since your website is new, the domain age is going to be very young which will definitely impact your domain authority. In order to combat this, spend time building backlinks to your website (like Bernadette mentioned). Links to your site from other web sites are treated like votes or referrals. But it's not all about the quantity of backlinks, but the quality. Don't stress that you don't have many yet—but focus on building quality backlinks to your site. Here are some of the more common link acquisition strategies: Placing your links on websites that the SEO company owns Asking other websites to link to you on your behalf Listing your website in free online directories – many include a free link with signup Adding comments to blogs and including a link in the comment Participating in social media groups (like LinkedIn) and including links in posts or within comments These are just some of the ways that SEO companies acquire links—in reality, the list goes on and on. The important point is that inbound links and backlinks refer to the same thing—they are links from someone else’s website back to yours. (Note: The relatively uncommon strategy for acquiring links, but the ONLY strategy wholeheartedly recommended by Blue Corona, is to create remarkable onsite content and promote it to relevant and authoritative sites—although, often times they find it on their own!) Continue creating value content, whether it be blogs, press releases, infographics, videos, etc. that people will want to link to! Hope this helps get you started.

How to check which site performing well in google organic?
Hi pragnesh9639, Do you have Google Analytics installed on your website? This is definitely the most accurate way for you to dive deep into the data and see how your website is performing in Google organic search results. Unfortunately, I don't know of a tool or website to check the organic results of (competitors) websites that are not yours.

Weird Bing Search Results
Hi All, Just giving this a bump, because on a weird day, this still seems weird to me. Just to put it in a nutshell: When you do a bing search like this: "site:www.oursite.co.uk "particular keyword", you get results like: Page about particular keyword from www.oursite.co.uk Different page with this keyword from www.oursite.co.uk Page featuring that keyword from www.acompletelydifferentsite.com Another page with this keyword from www.oursite.co.uk Another page but from www.anothertotallydifferentsite.net etc. Has anybody, anywhere ever come across this? Many thanks, Dan

I'm routating keywords to find my website and to get better ranking; I know i want to use the most keywords that are prevelant in my site; iss that the only keywords I want to use for ranking purposes; if not what keywords were do i find them?
My advice: Seek and find a trusted professional who can take care of this for you. Is your site in English? My other advice: Improve English. Search more for this stuff, you actually need to read and learn a lot for the answers you are seeking. That is not a question anyone can give you a good answer to around here in one piece. Once you do more research, you find out that there are tools out there such as https://ubersuggest.io/ and google keyword planner for ads that help you get the answers you want related to keywords. but best advice for YOU is to hire a professional in my humble opinion.

Outsourcing Blog Articles
Outsource to legitimate people only. Some use a script to babble together a bunch of nonsense, you don't want that. Some outsource what you outsource to them to fiverr and you get a poor quality grammar and spelling. If I were you, i would not just find a writer, but an SEO-savvy copywriter for websites. I would also give them #5 before they write the article. Just review it afterwards and publish, not a crazy deal of changes. This way the SEO-savvy copywriter can use the right long tail keyphrases and you won't screw it up by doing a final addition of your side to it. I would stay away from services provided by non-local entities to your locality...

Spam signals from old company site are hurting new company site, but we can't undo the redirect.
Hi, It is hard to advice if not having all detailed facts. Said this. What about sending those affected pages with a 301 to a new page "site.com/redirect" with a noindex.nofollow? That way, you "tell the crawlers" those spam are not important nor relevant to your website. I implemented twice already; so far so good. The websites have recovered SERPs positions almost instantly, as well as the DA has slowly improved. Some complete redirects from http to https, or to a new domain have unexpected "secondary effects". Although, I noticed that only the Moz Link Research & Back Link Checker have noticed and showed the spam links. Despite Google almost ban the website, vanished from all SERPs, the console never showed the issues at all! Please, update whenever you have news. Mª Verónica B.

Exclude a subfolder from a Moz campaign?
Hi Cara! Tawny from Moz's Customer Support team here. Unfortunately, I think I have to be the bearer of bad news - I don't know of a way to exclude just one subdomain from a campaign. You can certainly set up campaigns to track just an individual subdomain or for the full root domain, but there's no way to set up a campaign to track the root domain and just some of the subdomains for a site, unless you add an exclusion for Rogerbot in the robots.txt file, which would stop us being able to crawl the full site in your other campaign. Sadly, I don't know of a workaround for this. I think you'd just need to create a campaign for both individual subfolders. If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to give us a shout at help@moz.com and we'll do what we can to help.

Duplicate H1 on single page for mobile and desktop
Hey Ryzippy, Google really doesn't want to penalize site owners for making web design decisions without taking their crawler into account, so I don't think there will be a problem. That said, I'd recommend that you upload the new design to a test group first, just in case. This is not a risk-free solution, though, so I'd also recommend that you push back on your web developer. Is there really no way to use the same H1 for both the mobile and desktop design? This is exactly what responsive design is for, to use the same HTML elements, but different CSS based on the screen width. Anyway, good luck, and check back in here to let other SEOs know if using multiple H1s will cause a problem! Best, Kristina
