Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • Did you add keywords to your campaign? Try going to your campaign. Click "on page" and then select "report card". Is it possible for you to test the optimization of a page here?

  • Yes, I have done all that, Thank you. I just wasn't sure about the campaign. Both aswers were very helpful.

  • This is my opinion too. There was a time when this was acceptable and essentially their black hat methods have been grandfathered into the system. However if you tried to it in the present you would be held back. I have a competitor that was hit on long tail terms but still ranks for the most competitive phrases. Needless to say he upped his PPC in order to make up for frivolous phrases but his traffic is still besting me because he has the most obvious search phrases at number one.

  • Hi! Unfortunately there is no way to turn off the social metrics in OSE reports.  You should still be able to navigate around the page and export the data via csv while these metrics are loading.  Clearing your cookies/cache and restarting the browser may help if you're having problems navigating the site while these are loading.  Another thing to try is accessing the site through another machine to see if this issue is specific to yours.  If none of these work, send a ticket into help[at]seomoz.org and we'll take a deeper look at this for you.  Thanks! • Thanks, yes I didn't notice it there - great. So now that I have corrected some optimization on my pages, how can I force the "Report Card" of on-page grading to re-check my url - it seems to only show the previously recorded grade as if it is cached. Or do I have to wait til next week to know if I hit the grade - I seem to remember being able to run it manually on demand before?

  • Unfortunately, we don't currently track rel=prev/next - definitely on the list for next steps. As best I can tell, your rel=prev/next tags are properly implemented, and they are a good bet for paginated search results like this. There is one issue, though - your category pages within the blog have the same title as the blog home-page. It would really be a good idea to make those unique. Otherwise, they could slightly cannibalize each other. I don't want to give examples, sine this is a public question, but hopefully you know which pages I mean.

  • We have some other reasons for only one page being crawled at https://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/409821-Why-Isn-t-My-Site-Being-Crawled-You-re-Not-Crawling-All-My-Pages- as well.

  • You need to create a new post for each plane you have for sale (unless you've done this already) and the assign the category to each of the posts. Each aircraft added in your case will populate the category page however you should be sure to add unique content to the category page. A good way to do this is to add a category description at the top of the category page. If you're using wordpress then I use the 'all in one category updater' to do this. You obviously need to make sure that the category pages can be indexed by Google and then build quality links to the category page from external websites using a mix of brand, partial match keywords, exact match keywords and url links. The key here is natural variation.

  • I had this issue as well a while ago, but it seemed to have fixed itself. I spoke to Abe Schmidt about it, so it's worth emailing him on help@seomoz.org.

  • Hi, might seem like a silly question, but have you manually updated your page titles? I had this issue, for a section on my website - case studies. The designer had set the site so that case studies all had the same page title - automatically generated as 'case study'. Got him to update the HTML code and then added each case study title automatically. It worked.

  • Hello Charles, Our YouMoz guidelines are at http://www.seomoz.org/posts/ugc_guidelines. It can take up to five weeks for a review of a post. If you have questions, an email to editor@seomoz.org is the best course of action. After submitting a YouMoz post, there should have been an automated email that outlined this. Please let us know if there is a problem and this email did not get sent to your account.

  • Hi rfwood! This is Megan from SEOmoz. From what you've written in your question, it sounds like example.com would be your best bet. By setting up a campaign as a root domain, we'll be able to track all of your subdomains, including blog.example.com. Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please let me know!

  • Hello, Unfortunately you will have to organize those links on your own at this time. We do not have this functionality for any of our exported CSVs as of yet. I do apologize for any inconvenience here, we hope to add further organization capabilities to our exports in the future.

  • There are too many factors in trying to help you answer this question. One link from CNN is way more credible than ijuststartedmysiteyesterday.com. Also, the PA of the of the linking webapge is a factor. Sorry I can't help more, but we need more info to answer this question.
