Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So - after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • Most of the time, the majority of on-page links come from header, sidebar, and footer navigation. Do you have About in the header with a hover function that displays 5 more links (Contact, History, etc)? There's a good chance that's being counted as 6 links just as an example. Because of things like rational surfer, you generally don't need to worry about this as far as pagerank and all of that goes. I would consider though what the value of all of your on-page links to your users are. Use a clicktracking service to see which links are getting used and which aren't and then a/b/n test removing or moving some.

  • If the blogger's sites are new/small/not well linked to themselves, it may take some time the mozbot to discover the links to your site. You should also consider the last time OSE was updated (Feb 12th 2013) and run another check the next time it's updated, looks like next update is set for March 12, see: https://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/345964-linkscape-update-schedule

  • Hi Sevin, Thanks for writing in with a great question. Since SEOmoz does not support geo-location, you would want to set up the campaign for http://www.relationshipcounselingcenter.org. That will give you the information about the main part of the site. If you do still want to track the pages for other locations, you would need to have links to those landing pages from somewhere on the site so we can access those URLs. I took a look at the site and I don't see any links to the landing pages for the other locations on the site so you may want to add links to the contacts and locations page if you want us to crawl all of the locations. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions. -Chiaryn

  • Hi There, I'm sorry that you're just getting a reply now, but this was just assigned to us over on the Help Team. I know that you've received a few ranking updates since you posted this question, but I wanted to follow up to see if you are still seeing the issue on any of your keywords. If you are, can you please let us know which canmpaing and which keywords you are having this issue with? If you prefer to keep the information confidential, you can email us at help@seomoz.org. I also recommend that you email us there if you run into technical issues or are having problems with our tools in the future, because those emails come directly to the Help Team and the Q&A questions can take some time to be reviewed and assigned to us. I'm really sorry about that! Please let me know if you are still having any issues. -Chiaryn

  • Hi there, Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it. If that is the case, why am I not getting any results for my Campaign Keywords for the afformentioned client? And along with that, due to the fact that my keywords are not being picked up, there are also No On Page Optimisation Reports, even after after 3 weeks? Any advice would be most appreciated Regards Ray

  • "contact info" ? You mean the contact info for the domain owner? If such a tool exists, nobody's done much promotion of it. Getting the contact info is a monumental task given how it could come in many different forms. Maybe it's embedded on a "contact" page, or an "about" page, or a sub-page of the "about" section or in a footer, or header. Maybe the on-site contact info is for customer service, or sales, and not the "contact" you would want. And what about sites with multiple contacts listed, in one or more ways on the site? Which to grab? And is it in a format that can be grabbed and properly loaded into a data table or spreadsheet column or series of columns? And what contact info? Name? Email? Phone number? Address? Maybe it's in graphic format on the site. Maybe it's in the domain lookup system and maybe that's set to private. It's just too complex a process.

  • We have made many improvements to Rank Tracker and accuracy is a top priority. I would recommend testing out our new super secret Rank Tracker Beta: http://ranktrackerlb.seomoz.org and letting us know if you see any big discrepancies that we need to be worried about. • So your algorithm for the On Page Report is the same, or hasn't changed. Is your advice on the report card up to date? I don't have anything that I'm questioning. I just want to make sure that the advice on each one of the checks is best practices to the best of your knowledge. I am sharing this information with clients and co-workers as best SEO practices for on-page optimization. Thanks for your reply!

  • Hi ProspectMX Don't know if you're still after an answer for this. I came across this from October last year which may shine some light (with apologies for the crude cut-&-paste job) | [image: 21451.jpg] [image: staff.png?1360183708] | Oct 9, 2012Keri MorgretOn-site Community Manager at SEOmoz Another reason is that we just don't have the same size server farm that Google and Bing have. We could crawl all of Twitter and get nothing else crawled, or we could crawl some of Twitter, and some of the rest of the web. We aren't able to crawl all of the web, and we release a new index about once a month, so that's why you don't see all of your links or see them right away. However, what we do offer that is different from Google and Bing is that we show you links for sites that are not your own, we add metrics about the trust and authority of the page, etc. Flag01 |
