Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • If only we had Google's computer budget, or even their food budget, to throw into our server farm! We do realize that we can't cover everything and that for an audit you will need multiple tools. Keep in mind that Bing offers link information, even for sites you haven't verified in their Webmaster Tools.

  • Hi! Although the data has changed a bit since you posted this question, the reasoning behind what you see in OSE is still the same.  The reason we show total link counts but don't break down follow counts is due to a limitation in the way the API is set up with OSE.  This is also why we only report 25 links per linking root domain in the app and exports. The only way around this would be to set up API access which would give you what amounts to a "firehose" of data.  It would then be up to you to parse the information as needed.  Hopefully that answers your question Best, Sam Moz Helpster

  • Hi Sarah, Thanks for writing in and sorry that your ranking report is looking off. I took a look at your account, but it seems that you have a large number of campaigns so it would be helpful if you could let me know which campaign you are having an issue with. If you prefer not to mention your campaign name in this public question for privacy reasons, you can email us the information at help@seomoz.org. I look forward to hearing back from you soon. -Chiaryn

  • Hello, Abe here on the SEOmoz Help Team. I had to do some detective work with this exact same issue a month ago and came up with a crazy solution. I hope this works in your case. If the issue is not cache and cookies, check the calendar on your computer and make sure the time and date for your location are accurate. If the date is set ahead at all from the time zone of your IP address, OSE can return a redirect loop (I think gmail is affected by this too). Please test this out, confirm the accuracy of the date, and let me know if you are still getting the redirect loop message.

  • For detailed SERP reports on Google (including geo-specific reports) you should try www.georanker.com. As a registered user the tool allows you to crawl 100 keywords in each report.

  • Can you PM me a couple of examples of the exact error URLs and the referrer URLs, Matthew? This sounds really unusual - as you pointed out. Paul

  • If you are talking about the crawler for site errors. That crawler has a 48 hour caching period so you need to wait 2 days before running a manual web crawl.

  • When you use the on-page grader from "within the campaign" (sub-navigation below the campaign name, you'll see a drop-down of your keywords)....it updates once a week, but not instantly.   If you go to the page grader tool from "research tools" up in the main nav, you'll have the option to manually enter any keyword -  and this is where your grades will update instantly.  But just know that for the grades to be saved and updated weekly in your campaign, you have to grade from "within the campaign." As for keywords maybe optimize for "digital marketing phillipines" and "phillipines digital marketing agency" - having your keywords in the title is pretty darn important.  This way you can target both keywords while only having your location in the title once...hope this helps.

  • Yes. Sam was able to confirm for me that the programmers have a 48 hour crawl cache so to repeat crawls with a 2 day delay to get fresh results.

  • For me, it's: SEOmoz data - downloaded into Excel Webmaster tools data Screamingfrog data - into Excel Google Analytcis - downloaded into Excel Then I use Excel with various filters to mold the data as I need. For example I may well combine data from the above 2 sources, and use vlookup formula's to, say, find 404 pages (screaming frog) that have a high PA (SEOmoz) by pasting in all the data from a screaming frog 404 report, into a download from SEOmoz, and the using a vlookup command to find the PA of the 404 pages. Of course in the above example I could just use a crawl report form SEOmoz, which I also do, however i like to use more than one tool to check for 404's Plus using the above technique you can do all sorts of trickery-pokery, and uncover lots of actionable insights. If you search either on Google, SEOmoz, or Distilled, for something like: excel for seo - SEO for excel - or something like that, you will find loads of info. Other decent tools to consider are: ahref's cognativeSEO Majestic SEO These are all places that pull similar data, but are slightly different from each other, and have different benefits. ahref's, for example, can be handy for finding links that have dropped-off. Just my thoughts Mike.

  • You said "it doesn't rank ANYWHERE on Google" are you sure it's indexed? or is it just not ranking for the keywords you want it to. Share the URL and we can help you.

  • Unless you can create an account and link into their google analytics, I'm not aware that you can. Head over to SEMRush and open a free account there - you should be able to get some stats on your competitors that way.
