Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • Yes that works. You can also redirect all inks to those sites to www.breeze-air.com or whichever variation you want. You can use this generator that might help you. http://www.htaccessredirect.net/

  • Hi, you may want to send this in as a feature request to the seoMOZ team (if you are hoping to have this as an seomoz tool that is.) I know they read the forums, but if you send it in directly via the contact from as a feature request, it'll go directly to the team that looks through those requests. You may have already done that, but I just wanted to share.

  • Yep, David is correct - that call is only available with a paid API plan. If you are interested in a paid plan, check out the different tiers on our Mozscape API page. Thanks! Carin

  • It could be the site does not receive enough traffic or links or just general information. If you are a PRO member(if it has any impact), it should come up after we get OSE updated. OSE hasn't been updated for over a month, so if you had a lot of links built and so on, it would not be indexed just yet.

  • As there other folks have said billions of web pages is a lot of work. But the question you have is why is the work not done by the time they say it will be done sometimes. They have posted detailed explanations every time there was a problem. (Including this week.) Have you had a chance to check out there posts?

  • I am doing my best here Marc but I am not entirely clear on what information I can share that has not already been provided in this Q&A. Google crawls the web and adds web pages to its index. When a user performs a search query, Google then offers the "best" result based on numerous factors such as relevancy, quality factors, trust factors, importance of page, etc. There are over 200 metrics which are evaluated to determine ranking. One of those factors is the title. If a title exactly matches the searcher's query, then the ranking will benefit from that match as Google sees the page as more likely to be relevant. Does that help? If not, first try reading the following article: http://www.seomoz.org/learn-seo/title-tag. If you still desire help, please let me know exactly what information I can share that will assist you.

  • Keep in mind that DA and PA are scores that are developed by SEOmoz, not Google. Google does not come and look at OSE when deciding how to rank sites.

  • Howdy, This is a common problem: You link out to your popular post, and they all contain the keyword you are trying to rank for, and this causes cannibalization problems. 1. One solution is to change the title of your posts, or at least the links going out to them. So if you run a shoe store, you might drop the "shoes" from the outgoing links and truncate all the links to "Nike Mens" "Adidas Womans" etc. 2. If you want your homepage to rank for this keyword, it's not a problem. That said, I've seen a lot of instances of de-optimizing these sitewide links by removing keywords actually show an improvement in rankings. You can try experimenting by changing the keyword (or adding a nofollow) to these links and see what happens. 3. No, not at all. As long as the page you want to rank higher is ranking higher, this just means you own more of the SERPs, and will get a higher click-through. If you want to change this, it often helps to add a partial-match link from the 2nd page to the first, to indicate to both Google and users what the correct page should be. Hope this helps! Best of luck with your SEO.

  • Thanks I searched for the full url, not just for google.com or i would have found that. No idea how that got into the HTML code. I'll have to talk with the web designer about that.

  • Depending on the size of your site, I would probably break your sitemap up into categories for better monitoring. Sitemap.xml (sitemap index of all your sitemaps) sitemap-blog.xml sitemap-categories.xml sitemap-main.xml sitemap-videos.xml (if you have any videos you should create a video sitemap, different then a standard sitemap) When you have them all complete and tested, then submit them to both Google and Bing via Webmaster Tools. Sitemap Protocol Information: http://www.sitemaps.org Google's XML Sitemap information: http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=156184

  • Google will look for /sitemaps.xml. This is pretty standard. Some people may not name it that way - not advised. But if you're using the other sitemaps for images, videos, etc, then you can use the robots.txt file to tell search engines where they are explicitly. Also, be sure to set up an account at http://www.google.com/webmasters/ and submit your sitemaps there.

  • I would stop worrying and keep optimizing. I can't say specifically, but my guess is that all other things being equal, a good Places listing could potentially draw more attention. But who cares, keep building, keep promoting, keep marketing. Get exposure any and every way you can.

  • Since you say you have no other subdomains on the site you want to include in the campaign, you will want to specify the www version. The non-www version could be showing different stats for a number of reasons. Perhaps the SEOMoz crawler first crawled it before the redirect was put in place? Those kinds of updates aren't' instantaneous and not really anything to worry about. You'll likely find they eventually even out. Just make certain that the htaccess redirect is working as expected and is using a 301 not a 302. (use a header checker to be certain) Paul

  • Hi Sean, There are few things that could be at play here ...first of all, it is not unusual to rank well for terms that are not particularly competitive. (Competition is measured by how many pages are out there that are actually optimized for a term). The other thing to be aware of is that the standard reports you might receive in your email often give you the On-page Grade for keyword terms against your home page. If you have actually optimized a completely different page on your site for that term, you would not expect to get a fantastic grade against the home page. If you look at the list on the left side of your reports it will tell you the URL of the page it is grading against. To check how the grade looks against the actual page where you optimized for the term, open the On-page tool and run the keyword term against the  specific URL. Hope that helps, Sha
