It has been a while that Google stops providing keyword DATA to webmasters so if you want to know the exact terms which drives traffic to the website and provide you conversions then forget about it Google is no more going to provide the data and by the time this %age of “not provided” is going to increase instead of decreasing.

But you can still have a bit of an idea of what keywords people might be coming from by looking in to top visited URLs and then compare it with the keywords that you are targeting on those pages. Check the ranking of the keywords in Google and you will have an idea of which keywords are working for you and which aren’t!

I don’t think there is a way to get the DA of a sub-domain as sub domains are the part of the overall domain and this is why it contains the same domain authority as the main.

The way to check the power of the sub-domain should be checked by PA in my opinion (for that URL only). I do understand that Google count sub domains as a separate entity but i don’t think this leads to have a different DA of a sub-domain then the main domain.

Ok, here is the easiest way to understand this (As far as I think)!

1. 404: This is the status code that browser give when the page on the website is not available.
2. 302: This is the status code of the page if it is temporary redirected to some new page. This simply means that old page will not pass the link juice to the new page but when user reach to this URL will drive them to a new location.
3. 301: This is the status code which does almost the same work as 302 but in that case old URL passes its link juice as well. This is commonly known as permanent redirection.

Websites usually should not use 404 as this disturbs the user experience  of the page but upon requirement and keeping scenarios in mind use of 301 or 302 is always an intelligent approach.

Social Network sites are pretty much different from the normal sites as much of the data is user generated. I think what you really need to do is to build some relatively active and serious communication on topics that has been discussed by people.

At the same time if you don’t have a blog and guidelines pages on the website, I would consider adding them as this will help your blog and guideline pages appear in Google.

But... the best strategy which i think will work for your kind of website is to promote your stuff by working on content promotions like Guest Blogging, White Papers, QnA’s, E-Books and more...

I personally don’t think that ranking better in places and drop off in normal SERPs have any interaction but this can be the result of latest Panda update (24^th) which might affect your niche... I don’t think this is the point of problem... all you have to do is to analyse your website again from SEO perspective and build some links if required.

This kind of thing happen from time to time and the idea is to check your SEO campaigns and fix the problems and you will see a re-gain in SERPs from the desired key phrases

Google and Bing are the two different search engines and the way they look in to the website and are slightly different from each other and this is one of the main reasons why the keywords that rank well in Google might not rank well in Bing.

I think if you don’t leave any loose point and cover every single step properly that includes load time, content, on-page optimization, linking strategy, social media and more... you will notice you will start ranking better for both search engines.

What i mean to discuss here is that they do not intersect each other but this is quite possible (for example) that Google give more preference to linking strategy where as Bing consider on-page optimization as more important as compare to the linking strategy...

I dont think it will be yes for over optimization but it does tell you if you are in to keyword spamming within the page!

I really don’t think there is any tool who is finding the avg. CTR for any keyword or industry at the moment but you can find it yourself manually as CTR is based on the formula which is something like this!

CTR is the number of clicks that your ad receives divided by the number of times your ad is shown (called impressions).

Ok, I think the idea of spinning the content is rubbish so don’t ever try that!

I think what you can do with these 3 domains is to use one as a blog and one is for images (infographics) and last is for community interaction.

1. Blog: You are already sharing the information; all you have to do is to continue doing the same thing without coping the same or relatively similar information on other domains.
2. Infographics: On 2^nd domain try to design infographics and make it go live there, this will allow you to get tons of links as well as the audience who love information within images.
3. QnA Section: Try to use the 3^rd domain as a QnA section where people can ask and answer questions. This will help the community to stay around your brand and when you company with a brand website this three websites will help you generate lots of traffic and sales at the same time.

This action is pretty much possible as Google can pick the most relevant description or title for your page if your given description or title is week against the key phrase.

I have the similar kind of thing on my website where I witness a different title tag upon keyword and different with the brand name. This is common... if you want Google to stop it you should try concrete and more powerful descriptions.

In my opinion profile pages are similar to any other page or URL so building links idea will be the same like any other URL. Like mentioning it on your emails, adding this on other social profiles like facebook, twitter, about.me and more...

But, I am not getting a clue of why someone should invest time building links of a social profile when the link from the social profile to your page is no followed (in most cases)?

If you mean head section in the code that comes between and there is no rule but it is recommend to add meta tags and other relation data should be available so that it can help search engine to determine what the page is about.

Like you can add Meta data that includes title, description and other Meta... this all data will help search engine to determine the page’s quality and subject.

But in any case if you mean the head section in the design which is called as “header” absolutely no rule for it... all you have to do is to design such a header that allow people to attract and scroll down instead of just jump!

I am working for a real estate industry and can tell you the fact that quality of content impact the most when it comes to rankings for long tail keywords. I think a content between 500 to 1500 words are fine but if you are going to make it too long without any good level of interaction for readers (i.e images and videos) then i personally don't think it will help you increase rankings and traffic.

Thanks for a very new question! I never been in to this kind of problem but i guess if you are facing such kind of problem you should consider using this plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/seo-blogger-to-wordpress-301-redirector/) as this plugin will 301 redirect all incoming traffic from your Blogger account to your newly setup WordPress account.

I know using plugins is not an easy job all the time but i guess you can check with one and then move to others if it worked well for you~

Internal linking is a space where nothing works more than experiments and trying... talking from the experience that with reference to internal linking the website reacts differently... i think overdoing of links from video to category pages will be a bit of a problem in my opinion but if you set it nicely then i guess its fine!

Duplicate content is the common problem when it comes to eCommerce websites and there are multiple ways to deal with it...

Once of the way is to go ahead and hire a content developer and ask him to write descriptions in such a way that it looks unique to search engine. The idea is fair but it is almost impossible when you have similar products and amount of it is around 50 plus...

The idea i will prefer is to add some space for UGC so that users can add comments and reviews about the product you are offering... as the comments will be mostly unique it will produce unique content to the overall page and that penalty will be removed.

Manny, In my opinion with other domains the process that you have defined is fine and you can go with this but the question that will it increase traffic/rankings to the website is not true in all cases... this might and might not increase rankings of the website as no one knows how exactly Google works!

I think if the link value of 2^nd and 3^rd domain are good then my suggestion is to 301 redirect the domain to the main website and the reason is because it will pass the link juice... when one website will have all the link juice there is a strong possibility of the website to rank higher against competitive and targeted key phrases.

The reason why you should redirect 301 instead of canonical is because the 2^nd and 3^rd domain will leave their rankings once you will add canonical tag so it’s better to redirect so that you can enjoy the link juice of 2^nd and 3^rd domain if available.

I agree the Algos are for Google bot and they will react accordingly where as SEOmoz crawler may not act exactly like the Google bot.

The advice is to make titles a little different on page 2
