You are not pariniod, google may merge them.
Assuming your business is showing at the moment, make sure you fill in all areas, upload images, get some reviewsmake sure your listinfg looks the most valuable. you can contact google if the do merge, but you want to aviod it if you can
sometimes it is better to get a new domain and start again. And do not 301 old domain to your new one.
There are things to consider before doing so, but it sounds like to me your links are crappy,, and who knows what else they have done.
I had a quick look at your site and could not find why you would drop so much. what I suspect is that your keyword was "Roller Banners" and so was your title, but now your title is no longer an exact match as you still rank well for the new title "Roller Banners From £19.99"
try changing the title back. use schema.org to mark up your product using product and offer, that way you will get the price included in serps under the url
One probllem you will have with subfoldersis duplicate content, keeping your domains on seperate tld's means you are safe from duplicate content.
Yes i think you are better off putting your time into fixing the canonical tag on the server side. It may even look sus doing what you are doing.
I would go to WMT and view as google bot and see how they see it, i think they will read the tag before any js.
I cant see any SEO benefit, if the images were on your own domain, then there might be.
this is my opinion, I believe there is a pagerank for images, at least that google keeps some sort of record of whos linking to what image. not only are these people not linking to your domain rather to the CDN domain, you are linking to the CDN domain also. I would rather host the images myself and not be linking out and have others linking to me.
I host at Microsoft Azure, if you host in the cloud there is no advantage to having a cdn as you already have good bandwidth.
link juice will onl.y flow from the first link, link text will only have relevance from the first link olso
I also used to put a link on sites I made, because the sites were rarely relevant I did not think they would be of much value but it wouldn't hurt.
That has changed, my site dropped of the map when penguin came in, it only came back when I removed lots these but not only these types of links.
If you have 2 tld's .uk .au, you will not have to worry about duplicate content, but you should have regional set correctly, data format, currency and that sort of thing. You might want to host one in Australia.

The images on your page should be relevant to your pages content, so describe them with an alt tag naturally will add relevance. The length is not important, but I would not stuff they will a long list of keywords.

I would say yes it does, simply because displaying outliers on the map is difficult.
You probably have a US ip number, you generaly rank for the location of your web site.

I cant really add to what Egal and Ryan has said. but i sent you a detailed report of some technical issues via your email from your website as my bit to help. Since you are using a cms yo will proably never get rid of them all, but there are some easy ones to fix, broken hyperlinks and generic non relevant link text. Never waste link text.
My advice, dont use a cms, write html by hand, mark each product up as a product using microdata so that Search engines see your products as just that, a product and not just a load of text. You can write heaps about a product but to teh search engine they dont understand that it is a product you are writing about. Major SE's have agreed on a schema just for this reason. it can link up your Product title to its image to its description, to its manufacturer and more.
CMS's never giive clean html. for $500 you can get a a fair bit done by hand if you dont have the dev skills yourself.

when you link from a page about Jewelry to another page about Jewelry, you are tell the SE that the target page is the importatnt page. if you have Jewelry in the link text you are doing the same. so if you have other pages about Jewelry and you link them to your home page with the link text stating Jewelry you will rasie the home page. so having said that you should not link away from your home page using Jewelry in the link text to anouther page about Jewelry.
you should link from your home page to your sub categories with subcategory in the link text, and you should linke back to the home page also.
Just think like you ae searching for Jewelry, you see a door with Jewelry painted on it, you open the door and there is a room with some Jewelry in it, but there is another door with Jewelry painted on it, in that room it is full of Jewelry.
the search engine would see the second room more important and the first room as the path to the Jewelry
