Nick i have been though all the check your links and your on off page stuff, i dont want to get stuck in that debate again. I am no novice, its not a case of my wanting to rank higher and being disapointed, its case of a dramatic change of rankings. when you come almost last for your business name from first a few moths ago when i last checked. to come last for a term you are the only one in the world to have the exact macth, its more then a few broken links or so.

Yes the no-index stuff is a good point, but i checked all that, I have no no-index or no-follow tags at all, i have the basic robots.

I must also add, that I have destroyed the evidence and made a new site in my panic, i have also 410ed the whole sub domain

Gianluca, i had doubts myself as i have anouther sub domain that does not seem to be affected (hard to tell). but i just read on the google forum about someone who did have a simular problem or should i say thinks he has.

site explorer does not crawl the whole internet, could it be that the 2000 are low quality links from obscure sites. I think SE tries to get the best of the web.

That will get you around the duplicate content problem, but how about seo for so many sites, are you in a commpeditive industry?

Simon and Tommy make good points, i would like to add, Bing will allow you to put a page directly into their index without going though the normal processes using BWMT, but they will keep an eye on its sucess and will boot it back out again if its not like by users, meaning they retured soon to Bing to keep searching.

Its not the number of words or keywords, but if it is natural. just write the content as you think is best for the user and you will do fine.

make sure you do get the keyword in there of cause but dont worry about how many times. Make sure you have the main keyword in the title. and at lesast once in the text.

you can  go for more then one keyword if they are simular without making the content seem un-natural, mostly you go for one keyword per page.

i would say the canonical.

if the pages are not indexed, but follow, then they would have no value themselfs unless they had in-coming links. if they do have in-coming links then yes they will pass link juice, but only from the canonical i would think, based one what i said above about a canonical being much like a 301

Yes but still not as good as promoting the one site.
You seem to like the local idea, so go with that, if at some stage you think its the wrong stratigy, you can always stop promoting all, and concentrate on the .com only

When searching for site:mydomain.com i also asume that it is in order of rank, but i cant say i know that for a fact.

I would look at my internal linking

do all pages link back to home page, do they liink back to mydomain.com recommended or mydomain.com/default.htm

do you have a full sitemap on every page, I recommend not.

If every page links to every other page, this keeps link juice even on every page, when really you want to give your home page or landing pages prominence.

The best structure is flat, home page links to every page, and every page links back to home page and landing pages if you have them.

My opinion, if i was working for google i would expect diretory links to come in a wave, as they are manualy placed, tehy are not organic. so i would not be too concerend, but then i would not want to look like i was using submission software.

to be safe do it slowly, there are only so many local directories, you dont really get to do it again.

but if 30 times or 50 times was how it works out naturaly then i would not worry, Search engines are much smarter than counting words, they can tell if text is natural or not.

They look at the text and try to work out what the page is about, having the keyword repeated is not how they work this out, they do by looking at supporting words and their context. this is hard to fake, so thats why i say write naturaly and you will do fine, try to fake it and it will show.

70% of vists dont come from your main keywords, they came from long tail searches that you can not predict, but if you write natualy you will do well in long tails queries also.

It has been proven that thee is no such thing as keyword density or keyword count, i once like all SEO's used to think like that, but i learnt that SE's are looking for natual text, so thats what i give them.

I agree, i do not suggest anyone go out to link for the sole reason of pagerank (Admittedly I did just that when I first read the algorithm), only that is should be understood and considered when linking.

It is amazing how good a linking structure you come up with when you link naturaly. in fact i have to say that a lot of good SEO occures when doing things naturaly. I think SEO today is more of what not to do rather than what to do. It is hard to beat the SE's but you can make sure you not doing yourself harm.

I would assume that for NZ users .nz would have a advantage, but real easte is very compeditive, and the .au domains will have all other things in their favour.

I have never used either, but from a developer point of view Telerik (makers of Sitefinity) are excellent, telerik are from Bulgaria (Bulgarians are big on programming). I cant speak highly enough of them. I have done plenty of work on Telerik MVC Controls and have been very impressed,

Sitefinityis ASP.NET, where Word press is PHP, I do know that they are looking to move sitinfinity to ASP.NET MVC, MVC is superior to ASP.NET Webforms, and far superior to php. MVC is also very SEO friendly, it has a clean separation of concerns giving very clean html, no post backs or viewstate, Already they are using the MVC Routing engine that gives full control over urls, no messy file names or parameters, you can make your URL say whatever you want, it does not have to match your folders.

If you intend to further develop your site in the future, I would go with Telerik

DA and PA is worked out by SEOMoz, it is not the same as how SE's would do it. Its just a guideline. There are also other factors. a website about dogs with low DA, may outrank a website about cats with high DA for the term puppies.

It may be that one site is seen as more relevant than the other, or do better in some other factor.

Would need to know more about the test. Many point to sites that have a load of cheap links and say that they should not be ranking so well with such cheap links, but in many cases these sites have a few really good links amung them that earns them their place.

I would not be so quick to suggest they do not deserve their place

You need to 301 redirect in your htaccess file

redirect 301 / http://es.solmelia.com/

Also, your default file is missing, thuis is why you are getting a  404

if you goto www.solmelia.es it will give a 404

if you go to solmelia.es it will redirect to www.solmelia.es//index_solmelia_es.html then it will 301 again to es.solmelia.com

the above line to enter into htaccess shoudl fix both, find other 301's and remove them.
