Hi Papp, What you are asking is the million dollar question... there's no right answer. To get traffic you need basically 2 things: A great Website. And excellent content (whatever the niche is, it could also be the "best products" if you were selling something, or the "best service"). The real question here is: do your websites have what they need to rank in the SERPs? I'm quite sure, that 10 - 30 "seo'ed" articles are not even near enough unless those articles that you published are something really extraordinary that you can't find anywhere else, say a medical research for example. My advice? Take one of the sites first, and try to do something amazing. If you are able to monetize that first one with AdSense, then you would have learned what is needed to do it with the other sites.

Hi there So you would provide lots of great and unique deals info on your site for your visitors before linking across to Expedia just to make the booking? If so that is fine and should not hurt your SEO at all. If you are replicating Expedia content on your site then that is not so good. Just make sure all the descriptive content is unique and you'll be fine. All the best, Wendy

I'm guessing the companies on the Moz recommend list are going to be a bit above the project scale and budget for this (and most) similar inquiries. I think this video about "How to Find a SEO Company" will be much more helpful. There are a lot of great SEOs out there. There are also some bad ones. As with any industry, sometimes, you get what you pay for. Sometimes you pay for the brand/recognition...but I would avoid going really cheap, as you don't want to hire someone who will potentially cause harm to your website. Everything Alex said right on the money. With southeast Asia being your main target can I ask you have a specific part of Southeast Asia? Whether a subdomain carries all the weight of the main domain has yet to be proven, but I think in this case it does. But link equity flows from the page not the domain. A better test is: does the site look spammy? Do I want my brand on there? If yes, awesome. Then: Did I pay for this placement? (If yes, please rethink that unless it's advertising and nofollowed) If it's natural and good for your brand, no matter what site, just keep it there.

Did you ever get an action against you ? You can always no follow all the footer links with the exception of the home page thus keep visibility & traffic. Oh, I didn't realize how thin the linking site was.  I was picturing some design sites I'm aware of that have detailed write-ups with examples.  Analysis of your page is fine, a link among a sea of links I would shy away from.

I'm going to disagree a little bit with the other commenters. I've done quite a few large scale redirect projects and I'm not 100% opposed to using a "dirty sitemap" for a short duration. The better option is to leave some internal links pointed at the old URLs. I know what the search engines say, but I also know what I've experienced when it comes to getting 301'd links crawled again. Signed certificates do cost money but it's relatively low if you stick to providers like GoDaddy.  Verisign and Thawte are sometimes considered a "better certificate" as the companies carry more clout but most users won't know the difference and you'll certainly pay a difference. https requires more overhead than traditional http because the content has to be encrypted in transit.  If you submit data like checkout details, address, name, etc it also has to be decrypted by the server before it can be interpreted.  The load is really minimal for most modern servers but it's worth mentioning if you plan to use slower hosting on a high traffic site.  It can become a real bottleneck on very high traffic sites as load balancers need to see decrypted traffic which requires the use of an ssl decrypting appliance in front of the load balancer.  -- Again most of this probably isn't relevant to you but it bears mentioning.
