Magento Duplicate Content help!
I'm not sure I will ultimately be able to help answer your question... but I wanted to let you know that your question isn't currently giving enough information for someone to be able to help. What duplicate page content are you referring to exactly? Title tags? Content on the pages? Product descriptions? Something else? What is the "Magento robots" file? Probably a robots.txt, but what's it say in the file? You're getting 3616 errors where? Webmaster Tools?

Google+ Pages and the old places listing dashboard
Thanks Andrew. I did speak with someone at Google Places yesterday about this issue and they informed me that places on the old dashboards would eventually be upgraded to the new layout, hopefully fixing my problem. I'll also look into the article that you've linked! Thanks for your response/help.

Can't get on page grader to work properly.
Hi Robert! Your Robots is ok but there appears to be something in your site's source code that is preventing access to it. Either a javascript re-direct or refresh of some sort. When trying to simply curl the site I am receiving this response which is what our on-page grader is receiving: Ooops! An error occurred You will need to work with your web developer to resolve. Hope this helps!

Crawl efficiency - Page indexed after one minute!
This is a complicated question that I can't give a simple answer for, as every site is set-up differently and has it's own challenges. You will likely use a variety of the techniques mentioned in my last paragraph above. Good luck.

Video Marketing For A New Product
Put it on YouTube. Then pay to promote it on Social Media. Also make a nice version of it that you can use as an in stream video ad. In my experience online trade pubs love video content, see if you can place it in one. Plus all trade pubs a selling space in a newsletter or selling an email list, maybe you can draft some compelling copy to point to this video. Its hard to get specific with advice with out knowing the company or seeing the video, but I hope these suggestions will spark an idea that will work for you.

Why does "Links to Your Site" in Google Webmaster Tools Have a Sharp Increase?
Hacked? Penalized :O… relax, looks like you are over conscious about your data available on GWT which is good to an extent but increase in back link profile never always means you are hacked or penalized by Google. In order to verify what exactly happened in your website, my advice is to go to Open site explorer and check the just discovered links and see who linked back to your website recently. If what you see scares you (in terms of quality) you have to worry about and take preventive measures accordingly!! (Like removing the links or disavowing them). Incase what you see looks good to you, than no need to worry about the insane increase in links that point back to your website. Actually, Links are the byproduct of a great effort on generating quality content, so if you have one, people will naturally link to it!! You don’t always have to put efforts to gain links, sometime it works without that as well! P.S: Although I don’t see any point of penalty here, but just to make sure take a look at your Google Analytics profile and see if the traffic is normal then relax and if it is insanely dropped in the last few days (or may be weeks) then compare the date or drop to the Google update calendar (available here) and if you see the data matches or nearby then you should put the penalty option in consideration. Hope this helps!

URL Parameter & crawl stats
I wouldn't freak out too much over the crawl rate immediately. Wait a few weeks and see how things go. It sounds like you did the right thing and should see the benefits over the next few weeks.

Is getting listed on local directories useful for an online web site?
While I agree in general with what the others have said, I would say that the new MozLocal is worth pursuing for this, at $49/year. Presuming you have your G+ page set up correctly with your business address, a local phone number, etc., it'll take you just a few minutes to make the CSV file and submit it.
