GWT Change of Address Keeps Failing
Hi Aggie, Sorry that you're experiencing problems with your migration. My first thought was that you need to make sure you've verified non-www and www for both the old domain and the new one. It sounds like you may have done this? What verification method did you use to verify your old domain? I found a thread in the Google Webmaster forums which mentions using a different verification method (DNS record on both domains) and that seemed to fix the problem. Here is the thread: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/webmasters/2BC36MTFIm4 Let us know if that helps! Paddy

Thumbtack Blatantly Violating Google TOS?
Ten. Years. Later. XD It is pretty interesting to note that they specifically state they've removed the 'bonus' internet points from Thumbtack profiles. I would imagine they were told it might improve their case. It's definitely a bit of a SWAG on my part, but even the goofy internet points may have been considered material. One could see how possibly having more 'internet points' may influence a purchase/contract decision. So that may be enough to support a materiality claim as well.

What do you charge for Pay Per Click?
Flat rate, and charge an hourly rate for setting up additional ad groups and tie in the reporting. We try to keep the client's money in their pocket and just charge for a reasonable amount of effort. That seems to work well for both clients who spend $10,000/month and those that spend $1,000/mo on PPC.

Unable to view crawl test
Hi there, Thanks for reaching out! I just logged into your account and reviewed both crawl tests in there. They opened fine for me in Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers. This leads me to believe the issue is actually with your spreadsheet program itself. I recommend reaching out to the support for this program to try and troubleshoot the issue with them. Sorry I can't be of more help here

Where would I start with optimizing my site
Welcome! Another simple-ish trick you can do is to create a campaign in Moz. The campaign will run an audit of your site and take a look at all of your webpages, checking all of your tags, links, etc and it will actually give suggestions of what to do & where to start. The Moz campaign will show you which keywords are sending traffic to your website and which pages should be optimized from there. Unfortunately, there is no quick fix for SEO, and depending on how much needs to be done, it might be in your best interest to contact an outside professional for a consultation! Good Luck!

Duplicate Content for e-commerce help
Thanks. We have issues with our filter at present (it is Ajax I think) as it doesn't recognise when a variation is out of stock. Which pretty much makes the point of a filter useless. We need it tweaking which our web team are trying to do. Thanks

Ranking way worse than competitor even with better SEO metrics
Your competitor's domain is trageted directly at France. Look at their domain name: https://www.doctolib.fr/medecin-generaliste/paris Even if your site is based around a directory, I would add some content to that page about what you are trying to rank for. The MOZ tools are just that, TOOLS. The purpose is to point out any shortcomings that could be dragging you down. Let's make a short checklist of items to check: 1. You state that you have links, but where do they link to? Do they link to the home page, or are your inbound links pointed at the pages and keywords you want to rank? 2. Description (translated) "Find your General Practitioner in Paris, check available slots and make an appointment online". This could be worded a bit more convincingly, since this is most likely what shows up in search engine results with your link. 3. Google is most likely looking at the interactions of traffic with the site i.e. on page time, clickthrough ratio etc. These are the metrics that the MOZ tool will not show you, but that you can see in in your GWT report. Look at your analytics and GWT profile to see if there are any weak areas where people leave. 4. Having more links isnt enough on it's own. Where do they go? Do they make it as easy as possible to find a doctor, and once found, easy to contact them?

Linkbait Ideas
Directories and forum posts as easy backlinks are being devalued more and more by google, so there often isn't a lot of SEO value for these links. Just have a look at this video on searchenginewatch: http://searchenginewatch.com/article/2326161/Matt-Cutts-Using-Article-Directories-for-Links-Just-No But that's not to say that forums and directories don't have their place in a natural link profile, but you want to select decent directories and forums based on whether or not they will send the traffic you want to your site. For example, directories called things like "seobacklinkdirectory" or "freeseolinks" that promise followed indexed backlinks probably aren't being used by humans to find websites, but by SEOs wanting free back links. These sorts of links are not going to benefit your business or your site. But a nice niche directory where your audience will search for businesses like yours could add value, and maybe lead to some conversions. The same applies for forum posting - if you're adding value with your comments and subtly linking back to your site every now and again, you'll drive relevant traffic to your site which has the potential to convert. If you're dropping 100 links into a different forum each day before they ban you, you're probably not going to see any benefit.

How to change booking system in SERP for a Hotel Result
Contact the sites responsible for showing the rich snippet. If you do not want to have it displayed, then they should be able to turn that snippet off for you. Same with the reservation system. Depending upon what platform you are using, there is probably a reservation system available within the code, or through a plugin. I 'm not sure if setting up a strickly internal booking system only on the hotel's website makes sense tho. Depending upon what site people find the hotel listed on, they are going to want to book it right then and there, and not have to link to another site to do so. Be careful to not make it more complicated then it needs to be.
