Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • Have you tried using our Crawl Test, which allows you to crawl 3000 URLs on demand? http://pro.seomoz.org/tools/crawl-test

  • Hi Fred, Great question! What can happen if you start a campaign using the same domain as another of your campaigns, it could potentially use a cached crawl if it's within a few days. You should see the crawl diagnostic reflect your changes on the next crawl. If you have any specific questions, we'd be happy to answer them. You can send URLs to help@seomoz.org and we can take a closer look. I would still suggest waiting until the next crawl. Cheers, Joel.

  • Yup, Thats what I thought guys, I have been checking page rank and only targeting those between PR3-6. I also have a Siberian Huslky website because I have nine dogs, so instead of it being a two way link I am offering posts in my Husky site and links back from there coupled with advertising on my Facebook page which houses over 2,000 dog lovers. So I do most certainly want to give something back but it a way that will be most beneficial to the cause. Thanks for looking. Craig

  • Looking at this more I am seeing that I can get this by running the report on top pages, downloading that, and summing it in excel. Is there a way to show the whole domain stats at once within OSE though?

  • Using the Screaming Frog SEO Spider (free version to download will crawl 500 URLs, paid version [99 GBP for a yearly license] will crawl as much as you want), you can see all of the inlinks to a particular page. So run a crawl of the site, you should find those pages with Screaming Frog, and then you can view the inlinks to those pages. Visit the inlinks, and check the code for the links to the page you're looking for - this will quickly show you where the links are to the pages you're trying to hide. Also, have you checked the sitemap - the CMS might create links to these pages in the sitemap. good luck and let me know if you need any more help with this. Mark

  • I agree with James.  There's not an "SEO software" that I use, just tools that help me do my job better. Some of the better tools include Open Site Explorer Google Analytics aHrefs.com. Hootsuite Most of these tools vary depending on the user, however it's important to stress again that the best SEO software is "you" and the content that you create.

  • Hi Diane, We're not aware of problems with the site being slow, but we have had some problems with Rank Tracker. When you're having problems with a tool not working properly, visit our Help Hub at http://www.seomoz.org/help and use the "Contact our Help Team" button and our help desk will be sure to get back to you. The Q&A is more for how to use our tools, and SEO in general, and while I try to look at every question here, it can sometimes take a couple of days before I see everything (especially on a weekend).

  • As Rand said above, the web app is pretty cool. Whilst there are a few other options / companies offering SEO campaign tracking, for me what makes the Moz guys stand out is: Q&A forum - Great for asking questions, or even answering them to get Kudos! Youmoz - the ability to write posts (I keep meaning to do this!) One-off tools... for times when you just want to run a quick check on something, produce something in a rush for a meeting etc, these tools can be handy But all in all, I guess its the 'package' of some of the industry leading tools, mixed with a wicked community , that makes seomoz an excellent 'one-stop shop' to monitor lots of metrics for your SEO campaign, produce reports, and also have a ub where you can read about the latest SEO happenings or techniques, and also actually ask questions when you need a hand. The allowance of 1 private question per month is actually pretty handy too. That's just my thoughts anyway!

  • Hi Robert Htaccess uploaded, however the code you provided i think was relying on the sites sitting on the same I.P where in fact they are on different servers with different a I.P so only the bottom line was needed , if we put your code up all looked good but some tools reported 403 Site explorer and site crawler now see the site as 301. so fingers crossed Just need google to visit the old site and see the change and its not been there for ages , ill just ping it and add it to twitter or something

  • Hey there, Thanks for jumping in Doug. You're spot on. The Rankings we display for your page as exactly what Google displays when we pull the SERP. It has nothing to do with your sites status (whether up or down) and has everything to do with what Google says you rank at. I do see that it's also been about 16 days since those rankings were pulled (thanks so a Server failure). You should be seeing new rankings in the next few days. In the meantime. I checked in the Rank Tracker tool and see that your rankings appear to have gained some ground and are back around 17-20+. This is of course one of the things that makes my job so fun and you SEOs so important. Google is extremely volatile and likes to change things all the time. Check out this site we set up to monitor algorithm changes at Google. http://mozcast.com I hope that helps clear things up. Let me know if you have any other questions. Cheers, Joel.
