Hey Rebekah,
You guys are awesome here, thanks for taking all the time over this. The home page content is goping up later today I have been aware for a couple of weeks that the entire site was lackingin that dept. The H1 tags I was also aware but as you said that could take a back seat for a while as we addressed the more critical issues first.
Titles do need a little work I agree, most importantlytho was that you reinforced my fears that the content on the Web Marketing page was a little difficlut to find becuase if you click on one of the boxes (photos) you will find that each one takes you into considerable relevant content. It was my intent to change this also I still have to work on the design element once you arrive at the content adding a few graphics and possibly a sidebar and "well said" breadcrumbs" as I eat my toast!!...lol
The Technical stuff our designer will address today.
Again thanks very much, it would be great to hear your comments again in a week or so once we have resolved all of these issues.
If your ever in Scotland I will buy you a drink..!!!

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the responses. Yes we own Sepperro but this is just a hobby site that has been stagnant for a while, rating are not so important concering it by the site it links ot is the business site fenway media .co.uk both sites are on different IP's.
Egol, you mentioned you would remove all of the links by your bet is ratings would increase. If that is the case should I not leave them be. It was an oversight that we have so many but it is easily resolved. After all we built the Sepperro website so it would make sense for at least one to remain,no!? However if 80 will improve Fenways rankings as a new site...should I leave them.
Thanks again Gentlemen & Ladies
Hello
We have a link back to our site www.fenwaymedia.co.uk from the sepperro.com domain in the site's footers and Google Webmaster Tools reports 80 links coming back from the site.
I've thought about making the footer link nofollow and including a single dofollow link back to www.fenwaymedia.co.uk in the sepperro.com homepage. Is this a good solution, if it isn't, what is the best course of action to take to defend against possible penalties caused by all those inbound links from a single domain?
Thanks!
Hey Aran,
The .edu lonks would come from some work I may be doing for them from a relevant dept. so I would take those but I totally understand your point o relevance particulary these days. I think joost has be renamed Toast but let me know.
Anyway I'll keep you toasted
Thanks again,
Craig
Yup,
Thats what I thought guys, I have been checking page rank and only targeting those between PR3-6. I also have a Siberian Huslky website because I have nine dogs, so instead of it being a two way link I am offering posts in my Husky site and links back from there coupled with advertising on my Facebook page which houses over 2,000 dog lovers. So I do most certainly want to give something back but it a way that will be most beneficial to the cause.
Thanks for looking.
Craig
Hello Again,
Here's I thing, my main website is my Digital Web Agency www.FenwayMedia.co.uk but I also hold good affinity with dog lovers on Facebook over 2100 friends and have a website www.Sepperro.com dedicated to my kennel of 9 racing Siberian huskies.
In return I would give them exposure to my dog mediums (articles, links etc.) My only slight concern was relevance. However my thinkning is that as a Digital Agency surely you would be expected to have links coming from all sorts of sources as you "may" have had some input into the development of their site/ marketing etc.
What do you guys think?
Thank you once again.
Kind Regards,
Craig
Hi Aran,
We had difficulty in setting the blog up using wordpress. For some reason we had two versions on the site the wordpress version and our version. So if you went to the blog it was our branded version but clicked on the link at the top it reverted to the wordpress version. Not sure need to speak with my developer but I think we are going to migrate the whole site across to wordpress over the next fews days. What would be your thoughts on this?
It would also appear that google doesnt like indexing iframes very much. So Im know waist deep writing appropriate content for the site and about to split the Marketing page into 6 or so different pages with a heap of relevant, infomrative and with a little work well written original content.
That's the plan, then I'll use Analytics to see where my traffic is going and why to ensure they hit the desired landing page. That coupled with a few.edu links and then hopefully we will begin to make an impact.
Thanks again Aran.
Kind Regards,
Craig
Have a great weekend.
Hi Aran,
Thanks for that, too brutal it is not! I also really appreciate you taking time to go through it.
The home page. I like the images, however I also appreciate that it is very much a like it or not scenario and I understand and appreciate this. My original concept behind the idea was to create something a little different from the norm. The images would then have people stopping for a minute because they are nice pictures purposely out of context.....but are they? A beautiful landscape V's a beautiful webpage! if you get my thought scape. I take your comment that they maybe a little dark and will be investigating this.
I will look at the tags issue. I thought this was OK, but maybe not the case. That said I am already knee deep in content writing to change the "landscape" of this page and others through the site (going to be a busy weekend!)
In terms of where people land, this is not of great concern to me, as long as I construct the architecture and front end of the site in a way that it guides people to where they or I want them to go.
There is something wrong with the blog and I have one of my developers working on it now, so hopefully we will have this resolved after the weekend. I think it is something to do with the iframe not being easily indexable with the search engines.
Anyway, enough from me, once again thank you very much for your comments and I will let you know within the week of our changes and would be keen to hear you second opinion.
Kind Regards,
Craig
Next up.....................???
Hi Kristy,
The first thing I would do would use the tool here called Open Site Explorer and or use link:yourdomain.com to check all the sites linking to your site. loosing domain authority could be for a number of different issues but one could be some bad or non relevant links linking to your site. I would also use Google webmaster tools just to check the general health of your site and request a SEOmoz Crawl of your site. All of this data combined will give you a good starting point to what might be going wrong. I see you have a google page rank of 2 at the moment, what was it before?
Hope this helps.
Kindest Regards,
Craig
Hi Guys,
Would I be correct in my assumption that if I submitted articles to this directory: www . thefreelibrary.com I would recieve a link back to my site of PR7. Could this be correct?
Any help with this and any information on Article Directories worth submitting in would be great.
Thank for looking,
Craig
