Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • Another thought would be to look at Google Trends. I did a quick search for fence repair in the US http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=fence+repair&geo=US  and over the last several years, winter clearly has a dip in searches. Also interesting is that the southern states have more searches than the northern states in general.

  • Simple...pick #1 - if the RD is not working they said - then you test it. Mount the site on various devices, play with the window size.... Does it change/adapt to the viewport? If so - and yes I just tried it on everything from my BlackBerry Passport to my 27" desktop monitor - then the oDesk idiot who claimed otherwise is NOT a place to spend any SEO dollars.... ...sigh....

  • Are you referring to the GA dashboard as this can be customised to show any widgets? If you are referring to GA in general then the percentages are calculated as a percentage of your overall sessions for the selected time period.

  • When you 301 Page A To Page B. For Google bot now b is new a. All links(past + future) of A ======> B Because B is new A. In other words, future links of Page A pass link juice to Page B.

  • Hi Stacey, I have a lot of Wordpress Sites and there is not "the one solution" 4all, but in general I use categories (dont matter how many for a post, it wont exist more than one time). I use Tags, but with the YOAST Plugin I make them noindex, and (because it wouldn't be usefull for noindex pages) they aren't in a sitemap. Just kick them out of a sitemap wouldn't bring that much affect, when the post links to the tags. There are possibilities to use both and don't change anything. Depends on how many posts you have per tag, if you display 100% of the post in a tag or only a few sentences, maybe a complete other description. Thatswhy there is no "one solution 4 all" but that one is a good solution in many (i guess most) cases. Hope that helps

  • http://www.redirect-checker.org/ This is the website. Just enter your URL and it will show you the status code of it. As simple as that!

  • Thank you for the response. I've ran two MOZ crawl reports today, one with mysite.com and one www.mysite.com. Both returned 1 result for mysite.com and www.mysite.com respectively, with a 200 status code, but no meta data. I know that I've successfully crawled www.mysite.com about a month ago with no problems. I have made small changes here and there but nothing is jumping out at me as wrong. Screaming Frog is currently crawling my site successfully about 1/10 tries. The successful tries it sees 163 Total URL Encountered (its a small site) and the other 9/10 times it shows exactly 1 URL (the one i entered) and no meta data. There doesn't seem to be any pattern when it successfully crawls and when it doesn't make it past the first page. Google WMT is currently showing No Data Available for both internal links and links to your site which is a little concerning. Everything else in WMT looks ok.

  • Hi, Thanks for the info above. I've checked the report in MOZ again. Among the thousands of medium priorities many of them are false alarm as they don't have redirect at all when I test. Many of them are 404 (not found) redirects when page/url no long exist. here is what google says about 404 (not found) redirect: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/2409439?ctx=MCE&ctx=NF It says it's normal and do not harm the seo performance. Do I just ignore the according alarm? Thanks

  • Hey there Since you are using a CMS just about everything will show up as a page…especially if you are using WordPress. I would suggest disallowing the indexing of these pages. Even if you were able to get meta description tags in there, they wouldn't do anything for your SEO since they are just one image on a page. If you are using WordPress, there is a setting in the backend that stops the indexing of media pages. That will stop this problem you are having. Hope that helps!

  • How it works: After crawling a website with Screaming Frog, export the data into one of the three available file formats (.csv, .xls, or .xlsx). Copy all of the data from the Screaming Frog worksheet (starting in cell A4) into cell A2 of the ‘data’ sheet of this analysis workbook. The easiest way to copy all the data is to click cell A4, the use Ctrl + Shift + RIGHT to select all columns of data. Then Ctrl + Shift + DOWN to select all rows of data. Then use Ctrl + C to copy the selected cells. Go to the data sheet of this workbook and Ctrl + V to paste that data into cell A2. Pasting the data into cell A2 will align all the data with the column headers I already have in row 1. If this data does not align properly, then there is an added or missing column of data which you will need to adjust for in the ‘data’ spreadsheet. Report tab The reporting tab is set up to make customizing this report for each website as easy as possible. Hope it helps you. E1hkbk6.png gWksyX0.png
