Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • I agree Brandon. I think Raven Tools had something like this before thir Rank Tracker went belly up. Who knows, maybe SEOMoz will add it in the future, but considering the reduction of importance on tracking specific keywords, developing it may not be at the top of their "to do" list.

  • If you redirect site b to site a now, you will be passing along the negative effects of the penalties. Site a no longer exists in the search world if your redirect is that old. The best thing to do would be to fix the penalties, disavow bad links and submit a reconsideration request. Redirecting site b to site a would mean starting all over, and you would still have to deal with the penalties or site a won't rank at all. I suppose you could just kill site b, and make site a live again. You would still be starting over with site a, either way.

  • Okay - After some tweaking, it's actually not TOO bad. Not sure if it was just me, but they are looking okay now. Shame that they are just scanned images as PDFs, rather than true (searchable) PDFs, but they are not too bad. Odd filename though - Vanguard something or other? I think I'll stick with this and perhaps with some testing of dragging the elements around, I'll be able to get the page breaks at a decent spot!

  • The reason is quite simple - if you look at your source and search for H1 - you'll see that you have multiple H1 - the first is 1, than # 2, than # 3, than the final one is the real H1. Keep only the real H1 & remove the others and the issue is solved. rgds, Dirk

  • On question 1, I'm surprised it's that specific that you can't include a space. I'm inclined to think Google knows the difference, but there isn't much out there. I did find this, but it's not definitive: http://www.searchenginejournal.com/registered-trademarks-and-other-symbols-in-the-title-tag/20463/. I may just try testing the impact of a mark (TM or R) next to the keyword. That would be useful to know. On question 2, I did a little more research and found this question answered quite nicely a couple years ago by Moz member Edward R. Jenkins: http://moz.com/community/q/maximum-length-of-the-url-for-seo-75-115

  • If most of your pictures are the same type of container, you could use a tool like import.io to grab the information from each page. This will miss items in the template and has to be trained just a bit but I think it could work for what you need.

  • Ah thank you the webmaster tools list reads much more healthier, so that's good. The link I was talking about was in the hotfrog directory, in the correct category, with photos and video too, and lots of unique text I wrote about my products and services and it shows up in webmaster tools too thanks for answering

  • Hello Becky, Yes it could be interpreted as their gaining links and your not. But it could also be interpreted as the sites their backlinks are on are gaining links, and the sites your backlinks are on are losing links. If your backlink is on my site and my site's DA goes up by 30 points, then your site's DA will also go up by a certain number of points. Your DA increase would be dependent on where your backlink is on my site. If your backlink was on my homepage, then I'd say your DA would probably go up by about 4 points. And yes Becky, the only way to increase DA is via inbound links. But I would also try to move my clients focus away from this metric as it's not that relevant to traffic or rankings. In many niches, I see sites with lower DA dominating the rankings and getting more traffic.

  • It means that you are not using that tag on that page. Do you have duplicate content? If so, try to clean it up by creating unique content or use proper tags to mark duplicates. • As you are using canonical in "http://www.indigolittle.com/fees/" it will not be indexed in google results ( his original version "http://www.indigolittle.com/fee-guide/" will ). Try with "Screaming Frog" to detect duplicate content. Dont worry
