Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • I understand Muhammed.  Seeing a 301 even though you've changed things can be quite a concern.  The most important thing is that your site is listed in Google, and clicking the link from there does go to the right page, and I've confirmed that it's properly set. Quite often SEO requires patience.  Something I personally have difficulty with

  • Hi Craig, Thanks for the great feedback - we really appreciate it! When we added traffic data to the rankings column, we were so excited to put it in we didn't have time to format it for export. Hopefully we'll add this functionality down the line. That will be sweet! Did you know we have a feature request forum? Other people can vote on them and it will help us determine priorities. You should check it out: http://seomoz.zendesk.com/forums Thanks again for the feedback!

  • Ok, this is not a plug, but I figured out after researching further that semrush.com offers exactly this tool - for $80 / month.  Would love to see something similar added to seomoz awesome toolset.

  • Hi, I think that, like Steven said, your dropdowns may be a problem. The actual menus are generated completely by javascript and the links in the sub-navigation menus are not physically part of the HTML source. It's actually pretty unnecessary to do that since they can be a part of the source and still act like a dropdown menu regardless using JavaScript. It may mean some changes to your javascript but the gains made definitely outweigh. It's just as easy to have the links physically in the HTML source and hide them with JavaScript than to have them generated on the fly. (I imagine it'd make things quicker as well since you're not having to create DOM objects all the time since you're just hiding and showing them).

  • And a high PR or even mozrank doesn't necessarily mean the biggest audience or the most targeted audience for your product. I've given away product to clubs that had only a Yahoo Group and not even their own website and gotten lots of value out of it for word of mouth and writing about our product on niche-specific forums.

  • Sort by domain name. Export to Text. Find replace / with tab character. Put back into Excel. Do a count of domain names. Compress at totals. You'll have a list of unique domains.

  • In that case I would be curious what the answer is as well because I have the same situation with pages that are named "Example Title | Page 1 | Company Name", "Example Title | Page 2 | Company Name". I'm assuming the algorithm looks the percentage difference to dictate whether a title is different, not the actual different. The above would drop over 500 Duplicate Page Title errors if the Page 1 & 2 were considered actually different.

  • I notice similar behavior in my campaigns. Comparing LRD here to the list at Google WMT, I find dozens of LRSs (even from domains I'm not familiar with) that don't show in my SEOmoz campaign reports or Open Site Explorer. I second the question and have even posted one of my own here: http://www.seomoz.org/q/linking-domain-dropped-followed-by-significant-decrease-in-domain-authority.

  • We found 5pm a bit unfriendly to use, ended up with cohuman which is much easier and integrates with gdocs. It isn't as good as 5pm at the high level for project overview. None of the team likes base camp though we have to use it for one of our clients.

  • Hi Ryan, I am the site owner and this is the precise reason im trying to take matters into my own hands. <meta name="keywords" content="E60,Rear,lamp,set" /> I see what you mean, because this is actually ridiculous, not quite sure how it got into this state either. Whats that saying, "if you want something done you have to do it yourself" Looks like i have to take a crash course in SEO to sort it all out. Thanks very much for all your help.
