Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • Hi Rtora, So sorry that you've having problems. Like Jassy said, could you please email help@seomoz.org so we can track it that way and we'll get back to you as soon as possible with a fix. Thanks! Keri

  • 1. The different colors provide simple visual aids to help you identify metric strength. For example, the colors are divided into the types of data they represent. URL Metrics - Green On-Page Optimization - Blue Domain Name-KW Match - Yellow URL Anchor Text Metrics - Purple Domain Wide Link Metrics - Red Social Signals - Green (again) Within each metric, darker colors indicate which URL has achieved the highest level within each category - the "winner" of the metric, so to speak. The best way to use this tool is using it to see how the top positions are winning, and compare yourself to them. Perhaps you are winning on social signals, but need better on-page optimization. There's no right answer, but the tool provides a wealth of information to see how you compare to the competition, how they are succeeding, and what you can do to improve. 2. The Term Extractor, unfortunately, can be a little temperamental. This is a known issue and our engineers have plans to improve this feature down the line. This is a really helpful tool when fully functional, and it still provides pretty good results for most users. Hope this helps! Best of luck with your SEO.

  • Outbound Links can be beneficial to pages if they are linking out to authoritative sites.  You have to analyze the number of outbound links, as well as the nature and quality of the links.  If they have 1 link going out, but it's to something completely unrelated, it was probably bought or an affiliate.  If they have 15 links going out, but they are citing additional high quality resources, then go after that link!

  • Then it has to do with a combination of the age of the page and the internal linking structure of PRweb. Prweb structures it's posts so that they belong to categories. As more press releases are posted they move farther and farther from page 1 of the category (and get less and less PR from PRweb's homepage). I haven't looked too deeply into this theory but I think it's a logical explanation.

  • In the campaign section you paste in keywords separated by comma tab or newline. <embed id="Siber_embed1" style="left: 0px; top: 0px; width: 0px; height: 0px; position: fixed; display: block;" type="application/rf-np-plugin">

  • If its your domain then perhaps you can get access to the DNS file from your provider.  This will list all the sub-domains OR login to the control panel. If you have access to a Linux command line you can run the dig command: dig @your-domains-primary-name-server ea.com axfr Hope this helps.

  • I kind-of guessed that, but I wanted to make sure. I think it would be good if there was more help text next to each metric (or perhaps on hover) explaining this as it doesn't seem obvious at first.

  • Hi Robert, Thanks for you response. I've resolved the issue now. I started by doing a crawl test which gave me the same number of 400 urls but revealed that they contained "../../../"   in them which seems to be something annoying the cms I'm using creates (these weren't being displayed like this in the campaign error view). I've corrected these urls and done a crawl and I seem to be clear of 400s.

  • Thanks! I hadn't realized it was 300 for all campaigns - that was the problem!

  • Blogscape is awesome for monitoring links and social mentions, but I've got some good news, and I've got some bad news. The bad news - Blogscape is under construction for the moment and won't be available for awhile. The good news - Shhh... Don't tell anyone, but the SEOmoz team is working on a super secret mission to upgrade Blogscape with lots of cool new functionality. Look for a post soon on the SEOmoz blog. Thanks!

  • Just as Ressler Motors said, there are many MANY factors to take into consideration when you are looking at a websites ranking. I must admit, SEOMoz does a great job with their different metrics, and they can be very helpful... But even so, big G uses literally hundreds of triggers to determine any individual ranking. So, really you should study lots of metrics for both websites - anchor text usage to target page, brand links to each homepage, title tag usage, page load times... and lots more! Hope that helps!

  • Hi there, This is from the OSE page: "Sorry that you still haven't been able to see your links in Linkscape. Most new sites and links will be indexed by our spiders and available in Linkscape and Open Site Explorer within 60 days, but some take even longer for many of reasons, including the crawl-ability of sites, the amount of inbound links to them, and the depth of pages in subdirectories. Just so you know, here's how we compile our index: We grab the most recent index. We take the top 10 billion URLs with the highest MozRank (with a fixed limit on some of the larger domains). We start crawling from the top down until we've crawled 59,000,000,000 pages (which is about 25% the amount in Google's index)." You can read more here: http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/about If you can see backlinks to your site in GWT then they definitely exist. Hope this helps.
