Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • It's likely such a large drop was accompanied by a loss of key links from one Linkscape update to the next. It's also possible the huge jump in number of links came from a relatively small number of sites. For example, a sidebar link from a blog that repeats across 100's of posts, archive, category and tag pages. These types of links pass little value. Finally, there is some natural fluctuation of these scores from one index to the next. MozRank is comparative metric, so it's best not track your historic MozRank against yourself, but compare each update against your competitors. Hopefully with the next update you see a rise in your mozRank!

  • Well, our crawler is supposed to respect all standard robots.txt rules, so you should be good just adding them all back in as you normally would and seeing what happens. If it doesn't go through properly, I'll ask our engineers to take a look and find out what's happening!

  • Hi Steven, You are correct in noting that SEOmoz does not have this functionality at this time. We are working actively on expanding the size and quality of our main index, which is published monthly, but I totally agree that it can be frustrating to wait to see new links when you are working on a new site. As Doug mentioned in his response, we are working toward a separate fresher index which works quite differently, but this is still a little ways out. We will be sure to share more about it as progress continues. Thanks for the question, and good luck with the new site! Adam

  • Hey Rusty - welcome to Moz! Totally understand that based on your income/focus, an ongoing monthly subscription might not be in the cards forever. That said, I figured I'd link to some resources that might be helpful on learning to use the software to help: http://www.seomoz.org/dp/welcome-webinars http://www.seomoz.org/webinars/using-open-site-explorer-to-uncover-new-marketing-opportunities http://www.seomoz.org/blog/30-seo-problems-the-tools-to-solve-them-part-1-of-2 http://www.johnfdoherty.com/minimum-viable-keyword-research/ http://ppcblog.com/seomoz-pro-tools-review/ http://www.quora.com/Any-reviews-of-SEOmoz Cheers!

  • Yes, they will be branded SEOmoz for the pro plan. With the pro plus plan they wont be. If you do however copy their .PDF reports into Photoshop its pretty easy to just cut/paste your logo. But it takes a bit of manual labor.

  • From the On-Page Analysis help: "The On-page summary automatically generates reports for any of your campaign keywords that rank in the top 50 of your primary search engine. The URL that it grades is the same URL that appears in the search results. For instance, if you have 75 keywords ranking in the Top 50, you should have 75 On-Page Reports. This generation happens automatically within 24 hours of when your rankings are updated." You can find the help here: Web App: On-page Reports SO, in answer to your first question - are any of your pages ranking in the top 50 for any of your keywords? You can also run an On-Page Analysis on any page against any keyword by using the tool from the "Research Tools" menu. It's here: On-Page Report Card Hope this helps.

  • Thanks a lot for this question and answer. I've been cursing for months and months on this issue. The solution suggested by Barry is TOP! Download Open Office, even if it's just to convert CSV correctly to columns.

  • I am not super concerned with rankings, but the pin that usually shows up for local terms has stopped showing up for all 260 keyword phrases. I read literature and watched SEOmoz Webinars, and I know that the local pin shows for local search terms, whether you rank or not! If you rank, lines appear above the local pin. The local pin has completely disappeared??? Here is a link to the Webinar http://www.seomoz.org/webinars/upgrade-your-seo-reporting

  • Hi guys! Robert is correct, the info does exist now in campaigns and yes we do have it in the plan to add it to reports as well. It would be great if you could add and/or upvote the request on this page as well: http://seomoz.zendesk.com/forums/293194-seomoz-pro-feature-requests. Thanks so much!

  • Changing it to just the name of your site is fine. Your titles would now appear as: Boys Toys | mzube The only challenge is establishing a brand identity as many people will not understand what "mzube" represents.

  • Yes, after you run the initial report there's an option to "Run Full Report" in the "Ranking Analysis for: " box where you can enter your own URL and get more detailed metrics

  • Keyword Eye - www.keywordeye.co.uk You can create multiple tabs for searched keywords and then compile them together in a final list (export in excel). Also contains visual aiding tools and uses google keyword tool api for data results for any country. I've used it in the past and its not bad actually. Sorry I haven't seen a tool that you can upload. Hope this helps, Vahe

  • Ah, I get it now. I'm not a math whiz, but the exponential factor is certainly going to throw you for a loop in this calculation. Domain Authority uses an exponential base between 6 and 7. (meaning a DA of 50 is 6-7 times more powerful than a DA of 40) I'm sure there's some way to take that into your calculation, but I went to public school so it's beyond my simple math skills. But you might be on to something. My estimation is that a site with a DA of 40 is about 30x more powerful than a site with a DA of 23, all other things being equal. This conversation reminds me of searching out your true competition, and search visibility.
