Hello! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So -  after being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. However, there are a lot of factors which can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. You can also add links to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links If you'd like any further information, please feel free to pop us an email over at help@moz.com. We do also have a great guide to Domain Authority just here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

Hi, No, MOZ does not have any option to disavow links and you should not be worried about disavowing links in Moz. Instead, disavow them from the Google Search Console because Google is the search engine that ranks your site according to proper linking.

Hi, Great question, Link Explorer and the Links tab of Moz Pro Campaigns are both tied to our Link index, which is constantly updating. After being found, newly discovered links have the ability to be populated into our index in about 3 days. When discovered or lost links are found, we'll update our database to reflect those changes in your scores and link counts. We prioritize the links we crawl based on a machine learning algorithm to mimic Google's index. This does not mean that DA and PA will change with every data update, though; it will only change if we find new link data for a respective site. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly when your DA will update it depends on when we find new equity passing backlinks to your site. You can read more about our new Link Explorer tool and our index here. You can also read more about how our Link index compares with our competitors here https://backlinko.com/best-backlink-checker Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com with any further questions

Hi snjaoieiw, To get a detailed answer from Moz staff on what DA is, you might consider searching the Q&A forum. In short, though, it is a Moz metric (not a Google or Bing metric) that takes into consideration the number (and quality) of backlinks your website has. That said, have you been working on building up high quality backlinks? -Zack

  • Thank you Matthew. But actually what I want to do is to find these two metrics for a given anchor text and in respect to the competitor URLs. Is this any solution for that?

  • I won't be too hard on the programmers - I'm a programmer myself. Our small business has developers and designers doing the bulk of the SEO. I can see you've looked in to it as I have - there are many factors involved if I was to decide to "fix" this myself. To be honest, I don't fancy it - I'm hoping the better approach will come from the wonderful SEO Moz developers who might put in a fix. Hint hint.

  • Thanks Kyle. I've actually had this account for more than three years, but it's a brand new campaign, which must be why it's taking so long.

  • hi Thanks for giving me response, I have analyzed your URL and it is possible in most eCommerce site that Google find duplicate page title error in subcategory pages. Google consider these both URL same (http://www.gizmocrazed.com/category/android/)(http://www.gizmocrazed.com/category/gadgets/android/) That’s why it places the error but no need to worry about this error because i found canonical code in your source code. So no need to worry it is minor error and it does not affect in ranking.

  • And for OSE, you can find the update schedule at https://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/345964-linkscape-update-schedule

  • That's good to know. It sounds like that's probably the best way. I also use Screaming Frog (http://www.screamingfrog.co.uk/seo-spider/) to try and crawl sites and with dedicated 2Gigs of ram, it's able to crawl around 50k pages. If your site is structured in sub-folders, you might be able to break it into parts and then crawl. But then if not, the SEOMOZ Enterprise looks like the way to go.

  • Hi there,  We don't typically provide QA support for the Free Mozscape API. I encourage you to post your question to our Dev Discussion forum: http://seomoz.zendesk.com/forums/293196-developer-discussion-group. Our engineering community monitors that and you will probably get a response within 48 hours. We prefer to do any API support through our forum because that way other people in the community can benefit from the discussion. Making the support scalable allows us to keep offering the API as a free service. I hope you understand. However, if you would like increased rate limits (10 r/s), additional metrics and email support, we suggest you upgrade to the paid version of our Mozscape API. If you'd like to upgrade, send a note to andrew@seomoz.org or just respond to this email and we'll get your account set up. Looking forward to seeing your post in the Dev Discussion group! Best, Nick

  • Why can't I change the domain being tracked in my campaign? There are issues due to the campaign tracking historical information. In order to change the domain, you need to create a new campaign. I had asked this same question previously and Megan provided the helpful response below: Hi Ryan, Thanks for writing in! Unfortunately, the tool doesn't allow the domain of a campaign changed once it's setup. It's limited in that way, because if the parameters of a campaign were constantly changing, it could make it extremely difficult to interpret historical data in terms of why progress was or wasn't made. You'll need to set up a new campaign with the domain, but you can archive your current campaign so that you'll have all of the historical data for reference. Also, archiving doesn't take up a campaign slot. I hope that helps! Have a great day,  Megan

  • Actually I think NicheBot seems awesome because it includes SEMRush and WordTrakcer tools, futher more many others. I recommend you to checkout MixRank which you can use to spy all your competitors ads, also their A/B testing ones! http://mixrank.com/

  • Hi Kyle, Thanks for writing in and sorry for the confusion. Our system is only able to export 25 links from each linking root domain so, if one root domain (including your own) has a large number of links, you wouldn't be able to export all of the links from that domain. Because of the discrepancy between the number of links we are exporting and the total number of links you are seeing in Open Site Explorer, it sounds like there are several site that have a very large number of links to your site. If you still have questions, it would be helpful if you could send the site information you are looking at to help@seomoz.org so we can look into it more deeply for you. -Chiaryn

  • Do you have weekly/monthly reports automatically generated ? If yes, you could download them from your email if you still have them. If not, you could also click on any particular keyword in your campaign and see historical rankings data for that keyword. I hope that helps.

  • Hi Viswanatha, Short answer, no. Page Authority is based mostly on link metrics. That said, it takes many factors into consideration, including Domain Authority and trust metrics. Page Authority is a comparative metric, meaning that all other factors being equal, the page with the higher PA would have a better chance of ranking for it's particular keyword. So 2 pages, each optimized equally for the same keyword, with exactly the same title tag, etc (forget for a moment that this is duplicate content) the page with the higher PA would likely rank higher than the lower one. You can read more about PA here. http://www.seomoz.org/learn-seo/page-authority

  • Good point - I agree. In my opinion this affects the accuracy of using OSE as backlink analysis tool. I also did some additionally testing and it seems like this issue isn't necessarily root domain specific. Ie: name1.tumblr.com shows a PA1 DA1 and name2.tumblr.com shows PA 1 DA 98. So is the issue with OSE or is it with the host website?

  • Did you already try changing the URL path using the 'edit' function next to the 'Title field' on the 'WYSIWYG' editor where you edit posts? That may be a good place to start. If you continue to have issues, it might not be a bad idea to go and investigate the architecture to see how your categories and pages are configured.
