How to promote an ebook?
Some good ideas here, I will definitely try them. For paywithatweet, what happens if someone doesn't have a Twitter or Facebook account?

Social Bookmarking software worth it?
Whether or not you get penalised or banned from social bookmarking sites will depend on how you use the automated software. Many social bookmarking sites state in their terms and conditions that you're not allowed to automate the submission of links. Others don't state that, but still reserve the right to ban accounts they feel are a misuse of their service. In terms of whether search engines will penaise your sites - I think it depends on how many other valuable incoming links you already have. If all your links come from social bookmarking sites you're not likely to see much of a boost to SERP rankings.

IPhone app promotion and SEO
Thank you for the answer. I really appreciate it a lot. By the way, would you recommend a blog for each of the site for SEO purposes?

Article writing; how to optimise keyword positions?
From any testing I've done, keywords usually rank better when they're at or near to the beginning of a title tag and page content. I think you should definitely consider guest blogging as an alternative to article marketing. If you use the same site over again (e.g. ezine) your backlinks will be worth less for every new article you add, and depending on the categories you submit them to could be buried deeply in the site. There are some excellent SEOmoz blogs on finding relevant places to submit articles to. Also, if you have this excellent unique content, there's always a benefit in hosting it on your own site...

Is there a way to see how many subscribers a blog has?
Oh, and I just came across this http://www.sabahan.com/2007/08/06/find-out-how-many-subscribers-a-blog-has-even-when-its-feedcount-is-hidden/... if they're using FeedBurner, and if the blog owner has the FeedCount activated in his FeedBurner account, you'll be able to view the actual number by following the instructions given there. The article is a bit old so I'm not sure if it'll work; I didn't try it myself.

Will Google Adwords certificate help?
Yes it will definitely help as it will give some credibility - especially with newbies and businesses not very online savvy. Don't expect to learn and remember a lot from those tests....most of the learning will come from actual experience aka trial-and-error, online tutorials/blogs, forums & your peers.

Is Punch Tab a legitimate way to gamify a blog or website?
Not seen it in action, but I like it. I like it a lot First thoughts are that it'll never been usable on a massive scale (I'd be worried about security and people gaming the system for points if the rewards are any good), but for smaller sites I think it's very clever.

PowerReviews - any current customers out there?
There are two versions. Express and regular. The express version doesn't give you on-page seo benefits because it is javascript based. The regular version does but you need to do some integration. The benefit of both is customer affirmation of product and the ease of writing reviews. We use the express version.

How Can I Force Google Into Showing Me Search Results From Another Country?
Not sure, I think it just stops google from redirecting to your location's default. I have also found this page where google recommends to use www.google.com/ncr to avoid being redirected to .co.uk: http://www.google.com/support/websearch/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=873 I have only run a quick check now, but in my test I got exactly the same result for /ncr and /webhp (appended the &gl=us to both).

Confusion and conflicts on ADWORDS modified broad match
Yes, +KW1 +KW2 will trigger the longer keyword match, but it may be beneficial to include the 3 word version if you're seeing a decent volume and getting lots of clicks. Likely the longer one will have an improved Quality Score and save you some $$

Changing our SEO Strategy, Any feedback?
Hi Chris, I'm following up on older, unanswered questions. Did you go ahead with that strategy (which I think is a good one btw)? If so, how did it work for you? Can you share any of your experiences here? Thanks!

Need help deciphering Adwords Sitelinks Extension Stats
It would appear the majority of your clicks occur when site links are shown below your adword rather than standard adword presentation; 905 vs 944. Also that site links appear on 75% of occasions that you ad appears; 6216 vs 8091 with the site links being absent on only 1875 occasions. Your sitelinks are appearing often which is good and as expected have a higher CTR and a lower CPC. However the CPC should be lower as a higher CTR should increase your Quality Score and reduce your CPC...

Forum tracking
Hi Dan, Create a Goggle Alert http://www.google.com/alerts Say the keyword you want to find is "motor" , you'd use: "site:http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/ motor" at the term to search for. google Alerts occasionally have some odd behavior (sending you old hits as new), but it's a widely used tool for your purpose. Got social accounts , how can i get followers and relevant users?
This is a loaded question. Even the most brilliant and informative bloggers had to grow their web presence the old-fashioned way: by continuously providing unique and useful blog posts. You have to love what you do/write. Thanks to the recent Panda update you can start off on the right foot by simply providing real content that people want to engage with. Some things you can do to build a following: Since you're a web developer maybe you could publish some custom code-work you have done. Include a section on your blog entitled "downloads" or include a call to action button somewhere. A lot of organizations use "white papers". This establishes your credibility. And for people to view your custom code maybe they have to sign in first and then it's emailed to them. This is easy if you're using WordPress. There are many "register to download" style plugins available. codecanyon.net is an incredible source of WordPress Plugins. There are especially useful for social media A no brainer is to include share button so people viewing your posts can post to their social network profiles. Guest post on popular blogs. Include a link back to your website. If you're post is informative and "unspammy" then most likely the blog owner will include a link to your site (most likely "nofollow" but the point is to get like minded people to your blog) Enable direct posting to Facebook from your blog. You can kill many birds with one stone. You can see here the amount of plugins just for Facebook. Integrate Facebook commenting for each of your post. (where users can "sign up" for your blog through their Facebook account) The dev community is extremely discerning about crappy content. Come out of the gates swinging with enough content to post for 3 months. WordPress has a great "schedule post" set up.

Query on best adwords practice for optimisation
I'm going to chime in with what David said. Think about a number of impressions that is statistically significant to you. And don't add the exact match of a kw query until it hits that number. Or delete the exact matches that don't have that number of impressions. This makes for a lot easier organization and analysis in the long run.
