There are a lot of 'poor' link building companies in the UK, and everywhere else really. I am sure there will be a good one in your region though, just make sure you ask for open / transparent reporting i.e. they can show you the submissions and links they have done on your behalf - this is a good way to weed out some of the poorer companies who always make excuses at this point.

RE: Schema.org for ecommerce
Thanks James.
I agree the reviews should be good, at least in terms of CTR.
I am also looking at doing the image, item name, price, brand etc and wondered if this would have any impact as well?

RE: PPC - Is this Budget suitable for me?
If your page is extremely relevant to TANGO there is the possibly you wont end up paying $1.56. Adwords adopts a quality score system which means that if it feels your content is relevant to your campaign and users react positively to it then your CPC would be lower.

Schema.org for ecommerce
Hello,
Has anyone got any experiences of using schema mark-up on an ecommerce site? If so, what has been the outcome since doing in?
I am just wondering if it is worth marking up our products with the full product set of schemas and what the impact would be?

RE: PPC - Is this Budget suitable for me?
James is right, based on that it wont be easy.
What I would do is run your desired campaign which $100 and get some statistics to see what you would get if you invested $500. As Adwords is fairly reliable in terms of scaling you should be able to work it out what you would achieve based on that test.

RE: Is there a way to Rank above wikipedia?
It depends upon the keyword / phase really.
For example if you are looking to purchase something e.g. 'nike trainers' then wikipdia shouldn't cause you too many problems but if it is a research term like 'henry to 8th' then it would be much more difficult.

RE: Google+ what's it like?

RE: Www vs non-www
I am not sure if there is technically a negative SEO impact of non www sites however I would guess a www site has a better CTR rate etc as it is more familiar to users.

RE: Tools for creating mass adwords campaigns
Yes I totally agree.
I thought your original post was suggesting you need to have lots of keywords inside your adgroup, not lots of adgroups creating.

RE: Tools for creating mass adwords campaigns
Hi Big Zee,
I may not be understanding your post properly but would using broad modified keywords not help get all the possible combinations / variations without the need to manually input them all?

RE: Promoting an Affiliate Scheme
Possibly the most basic one but having an affiliate scheme link in the website footer normally generates some interest.
A lot of 'quick wins' with affiliate schemes come from voucher codes and cash back sites, I would suggest contacting the major ones directly to see if you can get in with them.

RE: Trust Symbols

RE: Trust Symbols

RE: The ideal SEO e-commerce site
I would be interested to hear peoples views on this also. We have a mid size product catalogue, about 5k products, which we are looking at transferring to Magento.

RE: The ideal SEO e-commerce site
Thanks Matt.
The URLs are a great example of something which is easy to do when switching to a new system so have the freedom to specific them but trying to change them on an existing site can sometimes prove a nightmare!

RE: The ideal SEO e-commerce site
We are speccing our new site based on Magento.
The main reason behind this is because we need full control but with the option of quickly bringing in external help for advanced developments.
Other than that I believe the SEO features are very strong and the results on sites built on it can be extremely good.

Hi,
Thanks for pointing me to your thread. I will have a read now.

The ideal SEO e-commerce site
Hi All,
I am currently writing a spec for moving our current e-commerce website and it got me thinking from an SEO perspective.
We are all usually restrained by the current website set-up / CMS and there are things it can never do despite how hard we push for the changes. If you had the chance to start from a blank canvas (like I do currently) what would be on your wishlist?

RE: Google +1 link on Domain or Page?
