Reviews - Google & Third Party
Hi Becky! While it's great that you're generating reviews of additional third party review websites, Google should take priority. Most people visiting the website/searching for the business are going to find the website via Google. When they do that, it's likely that they will either see the local pack or the knowledge graph, both of which show their Google rating. These ratings play a significant role in generating click throughs to the website. No matter how many reviews you have on another website, these reviews won't impact the CTR to your website. To ask for reviews through Google, you can't give anyone an incentive. But I suggest adding a place in the company newsletter that directs them to leave a review on Google, or posting things on social media that ask satisfied customers to leave them a review! Hope this helps—good luck generating more great reviews!

Paid vs. Organic for Brand
Hi Becky, Impression drop is really huge in your case. If you have access of paid campaign dashboard you can check keywords list whose impression goes down. There could be few reasons Advertisers were using broad match types initially and now they have either removed those keywords or targeting more restrictive match types e.g exact match or phrase match. Second reason could be huge drop in Ads position due to reducing the bid or competitors starts bidding very high on your brand terms, You can check live results by searching brand terms in Ad preview tool. you will find whether your Ads is displaying or not or if displaying at what position.* If you have any other query please let us know Hope this helps. Thanks

Brand Impressions & Clicks down massively
I don't see an ad for "Key Industrial" - I'd look at the settings and budget. Are you targeting a different geography now? Cut the budget at all?

Mass Referencing Supplier Product Info & SEO
Becky, I think Sean has given you some great advice. I'd just like to add a few things. I have seen rankings drop when sites add a bunch (thousands) of products with manufacturer descriptions and allow them to be indexed. I have seen rankings rise when these are either removed from the index, or improved with unique copy. However, you have the manufacturer description so why not leverage it? One idea I have proposed to a few clients is to use that as the description provided to channel partners, affiliates and sites like Amazon, eBay and Google Shopping. Let them deal with the duplicate content while you keep yours unique. Otherwise you'll write all of that unique copy and within months they'll all have it on their sites (because you gave it to them in feeds) and that hard work and money will have been for nothing.

Great thanks, we use to but we don't anymore. Why would this show under my organic segment if it's paid? I'll look over the resources thank you

Google Algo Update
Hi Becky Along with Sean's message above, a tool I highly recommend is Panguin Tool. You can line up your Analytics along side algorithm updates and go into much more detail about what updates may have helped boost your rankings. Hope this helps! Good luck! Patrick

Paragraphs/Tables for Content & SEO
If we are talking about content in a table as a means of representing data. I believe Google won't care too much about how your content in presented, however, what will matter is how your users react to the layout. As a rule of thumb, always go with what is best for the user. Ask yourself what is visually more appealing and easier to get your point across.

Facets Being Indexed - What's the Impact?
I think I'd have to request these. I know it's something I need to look at, but I;m not sure how high a priority I should put on it. Do you think it would make a huge difference if they were stopped from being crawled?

Internal Anchor Text Links
This might be a whole new thread, but how does an internal link work if you are linking to a page that is already in the main menu of the page you are linking from. A top level product page for example. Is it worth creating anchor text links if they will be the second link discovered by the spiders?

Facet Values as Anchor text
Hi John, Thank you for your answer If I check in search console, we aren't getting more pages indexed than we have on the site. I'll have a read of your article. I only noticed these in screaming frog. Are there any other checks you think I need to do? Becky

Http vs. https - duplicate content
Hi Becky, I am also faced with the same issue as you and after intensive research, I found that the best solution would be to make the server to an automatic 301 redirection for all HTTP pages to the their respective HTTPS pages. This would enable you to preserve all SEO value of the pages and at the same time, avoid having duplicates. However, since you have not yet moved all the pages in HTTPS, then a canonical would work the best, but this needs to be manually defined for each page, unless you have a CRM that can pull the respective absolute URL accordingly. Hope this helps. Tej Luchmun
