Will Google penalise me if i noindex lots of pages?
Hi Rick, If you noindex a page, Google can and will still crawl it. They just won't index it. If you disallow the page, then Google just won't see it. This is the safer option if you have other similar landing pages. -Andy

What url should I enter for Search Console
Hi, You should also setup properties for all versions of your domain. Since you've got an SSL, claim non-www and www for both secure and non-secure: https://villacollective.com https://www.villacollective.com http://villacollective.com http://www.villacollective.com You can set your preferred (https://www) domain in the settings. Having all of these properties established will allow you to identify any problems you might have with indexing of different URL types, or if something weird is going on with any of them other than your preferred.

MOZ Freshweb reported mentions that really does not contain any mention - anyone else experiencing this?
Yeah - I've seen numerous examples of scraper-type sites like this that change up their content and/or have dynamic flux that means a crawler might see a word/phrase/sentence/link that later disappears. Frustrating, but hard to account for. Long term, we'll try to work on ways to exclude sites like it from the index.

Empty href damages SEO? (href="#")
Thank you for the insight. I agree with your insight. You are correct in saying that it will affect signals because there is no link. And also not an SEO issue.

Link title tags on devices - product category page
Hi Tormar! To my knowledge, having a title element within a link tag adds no SEO value. Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Alt tags in images, though, are rather important, both for user experience and for SEO. Among other things, they're covered here.

Is content really king?
Hi Kristian, Without looking at your analytics, it's a little difficult to say for sure, but there are a few things for you to consider. First, content isn't king unless it is related to the subject and doesn't just waffle about a product. A page that is well structured and allows people to fulfill a function quickly and easily, is likely to trump one that makes the visitor experience a miserable one. Yes, create amazing and unique content, but you don't need to go overboard in all cases. Secondly, are any of your pages similar to each other? Are you at risk of some pages competing with others in Google? If so, then you might be falling foul of duplication / keyword cannibalisation issues. In these cases, make sure that you have pages setup with rel=canonical correctly. This is very common with e-commerce sites. Finally, do a bit of a page sanity check. Are the keywords that are underperfoming doing so because you aren't using the correct group of related words and phrases that Google would expect to see on those pages? This is one of the more common issues that sites fall foul of and with a little research, one of the easiest to correct. I hope this helps -Andy

Transferring ownership of a listing and renaming it - what can happen?
In theory, the listings changes you are suggesting should all work. But, Google My Business does not always work they way they say they are supposed to, especially when significant changes like this are made. In some cases, we've made a change of a name or address for a business, and after the correct info was in place for a few days or weeks, it reverted back to the old info. One way to help avoid this is to make sure that you update all the business listings, not just Google. If Google sees the change you made being made across all directories, they are much less likely to revert anything. As long as the listing is verified before you make any changes, you should not run into issues there. And assuming you'll be listing this business on your website, and updating all listings to point to your website, your site will benefit.
