SEO recovery steps
Hi Shervin, It is too complicated to say for sure if a penalty is causing you issues because there is so much that needs to be looked at. As a starting point, look over your Google Analytics to see if there has been something obvious happen at any stage. I would then head over to MOZ's Algorithm History to see if any drops in traffic match the date of any algorithm updates. If you see a match, this is your starting point. Points to consider: Have you done any link building? If so, was any of it spammy? Is your content unique? Is it amazing? Does it answer the questions that people would ask? How is your user experience? Do you feel that people are arriving at your pages and then just dropping off again? If so, create a free account with HotJar and watch live session recordings to see how visitors are using your site and pages. Of course, these are only a few points and there could be many other issues, but it is a starting point for you. -Andy

How long until links lead to a ranking increase?
Obviously, this is just my opinion but this depends on several factors. I'll start with the main ones. If you'd like to see what these factors are, as a general guideline, you can refer to: https://moz.com/rand/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/rank-factors-pie-2013lrg.gif So the main ones as you have mentioned are links. But what type of links? 1. Quality Links from domains that have high DA (domain authority) 2. Quality Content - your page needs to have high PA (page authority) 3. Content Update Frequency 4. Relevant Content and keywords 5. Social Signals What does this have to do with how long it will take? If you perform all of the above at 80% to 90% consistently, SPIDERS and SEARCH ENGINE CRAWLERS will crawl your site more often. And the easier you make this crawling activity is for the spiders, then better you rank and the better you rank, the more clicks you get. The more clicks you get from keywords, organic searches and relevant links, the more often search engines will crawl your site because in their mind, they are saying "wow, this site has great relevant content for XYZ keywords and it is updated often, I better crawl this site more often". I cannot comment on specific time frame but a good guide is 3 to 6 months for some real results. Of course if you have unlimited budget as in those startups and you have an old domain name that you purchased that is highly sought for, you can shortcut this time. For example, if the Malaysian Airline MH370 event happened, there was a lot of search in CNN traffic and you happen to have a link that day to your site. I bet you can increase SEO ranking very shortly. 2JlNGau

AngularJS - How to check?
Awesome! That's helpful! I also heard that Screaming Frog has the capability to crawl AJAX sites but I am not sure how to utilize that data for a website built in AngularJS

Google Adding / Manipulating Page Meta Titles?
For a while, Google has been auto-appending brand names (or their best guess) in that "Title Goes Here - Brand" style, even when "- Brand" isn't in the title tag. There's no way to tell them not to do that, unfortunately. When they launched the redesign to the wider column, it seems like title rewriting increased, IMO. So, the weird question here, clearly, is why does Google think your company is called "0 Reviews"? It could be an old legacy bit of bad data somewhere, like DMOZ (as Russ said), or it could be something they're seeing on-page or in inbound anchor text. Unfortunately, without being able to see the site, this kind of thing is really tough to diagnosis.

Can I set a canonical tag to an anchor link?
Hi Billy, I read through your question and it appears it's been 6 months since this post. I wondered how things were going here? Did you effectively canonicalize your old pages to your new URLs with Anchor Links? We may be in the process of doing the same thing so just wanted to ask for an update on your outcome? Thanks

Will GA Autotrack affect affiliate sites not using autotrack?
Thanks for your answer. Some of our clients are some of the biggest insurers in the US. It still won't affect them?

HUGELY different ranking for a keyword between Bing and Google. Looking for ideas.
I think Bing is more sensitive to links, and use fewer algorithms to penalize (like Penguin or Panda). So with few good links and exact anchor you can rank easily.

Does social media presence + inbound links outweigh bad SEO?
If you were hit by Panda... Google was telling you that your content was not up to their expectations. **Now we're bouncing between the top 10 and the top 30. ** That probably means that you have not recoved from Panda. I would be working just about 100% on content. If you improve the content then you might get more links and more social shares. People like to great sites, people share great sites.

What is the difference between Multilingual and multiregional websites?
Multilingual are sites that target languages independently from where they are used. Multi-country are sites that target specific country and language markets. So, in your case, if you want to target all Spanish speaking users, you should go multilingual and the hreflang annotation should be: Moreover, it would be better to change the subfolder URL to http://example.com/es/, because maintaining the es-ar subfolder will make people think that its content specifically targets Argentinian people

Which is the best youtube keyword tool ?
This tool mentioned above is currently out of commission "As of September 2014 YouTube's own Keyword Tool is not working anymore. It was moved over to Display Planner's AdWords video keyword suggestions." You need to have an adwords account to use this alternative.. Videos can be ranked for keywords as well..Personally i use standard keyword tools to do "Keyword Research" And will optimize video publications just as i would a webpage. Has worked in the past i still have video ranking for very competitive keywords.

How can I make a list of all URLs indexed by Google?
If you can get a developer to create a list of all the pages Google has crawled within a date range then you can use this python script to check if the page is indexed or not. http://searchengineland.com/check-urls-indexed-google-using-python-259773 The script uses the info: search feature to check the urls. You will have to install Python, Tor and Polipo for this to work. It is quite technical so if you aren't a technical person you may need help. Depending on how many URL's you have and how long you decide to wait before checking each URL, it can take a few hours.

Image Sitemap for non indexed Products
Not entirely sure what you mean, but from what I understand, you're asking if you have Image A on Product page A (this product page is already indexed) Image B on Product page B (this product page is not indexed) If so, then sure you can put Image B in your sitemap. I would be hesitant doing it if you do not want your Product page B to be indexed, though... Hope this helps

HTTPS (SSL) Error Encountered.
Hi there! Kristina from Moz's Help Team here. Thanks for asking this question, and we apologize for the delay! We took a look at your particular campaign and the 804 errors that came up in your latest Site Crawl. Since this is the first time those error appeared, I would recommend waiting until your next crawl to see if the issue persists. Unfortunately, it's quite hard to isolate what occurred during the time your site was crawled, as we're not showing any errors with the particular URLs that were identified at this time. So... waiting to see if this is an ongoing issue is really the best route at this time. I would like to recommend exporting the current CSV report for these particular 804 errors to keep a record of the pages with the current error and see if they return next week. If they do, it might be best to contact our team at help@moz.com at that time, referencing this forum post, so we can investigate these further for you. Thanks so much - and thanks again for your patience on this one. -Kristina

Best practice to consolidating authority of several SKU pages to one destination
I like Everett's suggestion. My retail sites have very few pages with a single item. Most pages have several very closely-related items. This makes for a more compact site with very rich pages that ranks better in search and pulls in more long-tail traffic. In my opinion these pages convert just as well as single-item pages (as long as the items do not require a long complex description).

Looking for SEO advice on Negative SEO attack. Technical SEO
Hi Matt, Google probably will ignore all of these - they are pretty good at recognising spam like this, but to err on the side of caution, start to disavow the spam sites as Nick said. It's fairly easy to do if you haven't done it before, but I know you can build a disavow file from within Ahrefs. -Andy
