How to use long-tail keywords in my blog posts?
Think about it less about using the exact phrase and more about writing content for that topic. You need to research who is ranking for this term and ask yourself: is the content there answering the question the user has and can I do better? If you can do better, research and write an article about the best gaming mouse and keyboard for the PS4. It isn't about the exact word order, more the needs of the person search for that.

What are the benefits of having more refering domains than inbound backlinks or vice versa? and is it neccassary to get a click on a backlink which i created on someone elses website,
Calvin, Let me go back to a previous answer: Better to stop now with that and take a month to study up on link building before you do more damage. There's plenty of good info right here on Moz for a start.

Anchor Text Issues
Hi Catcoo, In order to find the answer to your queries here I think it may be best if you could provide a few more details on which of the Moz tools you're using, and some screenshots. You're welcome to email those over to help@moz.com If you're looking at anchor text info in Link Explorer please note that this won't update as soon as you add new pages, or update content on a page, this data comes from our link index which will update the next time we crawl your site and page. https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links I'm not sure what you mean about links not showing when you have anchor text, if this is to do with how your content is displayed on your page you may need to investigate this further with Wordpress support. They have a bunch of help forums to get you started here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ https://wordpress.com/forums/ I hope this helps!

When you say it fluctuated between 6-7 for a couple days are you meaning position 6-7 on page 1 or pages 6-7 in the SERPs? Also, it's possible that your new pages are better optimized for the phrase than your homepage was and so Google shows those pages now instead. Would you be willing to share our domain so I can give you a more specific answer?

I have recently re-done my website. My buyers guide and my category page are ranking for keywords I'm after.
Hi there, It's pretty normal to see some fluctuation when you go through a website change of some kind. The key thing to focus on at the moment is comparing "before and after" for your pages on things such as organic traffic and rankings. If some pages are massively down on either of these, then you should take a closer look and see what may have changed from the old page to the new one. For example: Has content changed or been reduced? If URLs have changed, are the 301 redirects working correctly and not being chained? Have on-page SEO elements such as titles, internal links and keyword usage been changed? Has the structure of the site changed so that pages may be pushed further down the architecture? Has the new page design or copy meant that the intention of the page may have changed from Googles perspective? There are a lot of factors at play but those are the kinds of things that I'd be focusing on whilst things are still early on. Hope that helps! Paddy

Keyword Explorer shows wrong data
Hi there, Sam from Moz's Help Team here! So our method of estimating keyword volume is a bit different from what you might see elsewhere - for instance, in Google Keyword Planner. While we do use Keyword Planner as one source for our volume data, we also use other sources, including anonymized clickstream data. If you're seeing large discrepancies, this is usually because our data goes through a disambiguation process. Basically, Google Keyword Planner currently bundles similar keywords into one overall volume metric. The problem is that most people want more specific data rather than a grouped number, so we strive to separate out the individual keyword volumes. You can read more about that here: https://moz.com/blog/google-keyword-unplanner-clickstream-data-to-the-rescue This difference can be jarring, because often times you will have one keyword that is responsible for probably 95+% of the traffic and a bunch of others that make up the remaining number. The keywords with the smaller portion of the traffic appear to have a big discrepancy with Keyword Planner, when in fact their traffic volume is simply more accurate in our tool. We have an excellent article here by Russ Jones, who designed our volume bucket methodologies, on why Keyword Planner data isn't ideal in the first place: https://moz.com/blog/google-keyword-planner-dirty-secrets Our tool strives to account for these issues and deliver better data. For more information on how the tools compare, Britney Muller has written a great post you may also find useful: https://moz.com/blog/moz-keyword-explorer-vs-google-keyword I hope that clarifies things! If there's anything else you need help with, just let me know!

What is the best meta description for Category Pages, Tag Pages and Main Article?
Hi MB It's perfectly OK to rank articles and categories as long as you can justify them. For example, the primary keywords would be: Category: 'Stock Market Training'' Article: What is The Stockmarket? All well and good so far. You would make the primary keywords distinct and different for each and that would work well. Once you introduce tags like Learn Stock Market - everything falls apart. They cut across and cannibalize the category and articles and so have no worth. It will ruin your efforts for the other two. Write some compelling SEO text for the category page, up to 1000 words may do but check the competition and have just a short summary of each article on there with links to the articles. No index the tags. Trust me it's the correct way to go. Nigel

Why are only two pages of my site being crawled by MOZ?
I had to remove subdomains from being crawled on the site, and the issue has been resolved. The 301 redirect was an issue, causing MOZ to stop crawling at only two pages, the http and https pages.

How do I get into the People Also Ask section?
Hi! A bit late but perhaps the following links help. Generally it seems the People Also Ask feature is often closely connected to FAQ and faq schema markup content on pages (not necessarily FAQ only pages!). If the questions you are looking at are related to your own brand then I would try implementing some FAQ type content and see how that goes, you should have a good chance of grabbing some more results. https://moz.com/blog/new-schema-types-to-create-interactive-rich-results https://www.searchenginewatch.com/2020/02/20/how-to-make-most-of-googles-people-also-ask-results/ Hope it helps!

Domain authority of competitor went up drastically
Make a list of the content pages that you could write that would be most valuable for your site visitors. Start writing, don't look at DA for six months, do what is valuable for your visitor, create what they want, create what will help convert sales on your site. Do you know that Google does not use DA? It is a Moz number. It will not win anything for you. So instead of watching a number that means nothing, spend your time on content that will win your wars. The more you look at DA the less work you will get done.
