Google Account verification requires phone number - too many clients!
Hey - another vote for getting this set up for your client. It is a pain sometimes to get them to verify etc but if you can do it this way the client retains central control and visibility and you can then bolt on access to all of these platforms. Hope that helps Marcus

Schema markup for Webinars

Combined Countries in Keyword Explorer
Thanks for passing it along. Less concerned about the credits than I am the extra time it currently takes, which actually just has me using a competing tool more often. I'd love to be able to drop the other tool though, since it's just another expense.

Republish Breaking News?
OK... I know your site. In that wasted white space at the top you should be offering everyone an opportunity to subscribe to breaking news and get links to breaking stories by email as soon as they are posted. Allow them to subscribe by team, or league, or trades, or salary, or coaches or goalies, or Stanley Cup. Back to your original question... Start experimenting and keeping records. You have the advantage of a strong site and a relevant site and a site that is quick with the news. It could behave differently in different situations.

Partial duplicate content (reviews) on product pages - is this ok?
Hi Adam, It depends on the product but I would suggest only having one page if the products are so similar. For example, if you are talking about widgets of different colours, i would suggest having one widget page that allows users to select the colour that they want from a drop-down menu. By doing this, you should have one stronger page with unique content and several reviews instead of several, largely similar, pages. Does that help?

Knowledge Graph Results for NonBranded Queries
Hi again! Sorry I'd missed the attachments previously. So when I do those exact searches I don't get a knowledge graph in the results in my location however if I do a search from your area I do for the Marco one but not the other. (I'm curious if you are still seeing a knowledge graph for the other.) As a general rule, my previous response works for very generic terms like "cola" in all areas I would assume but this looks like your knowledge graph is being generated location specific. When I look at the searches you did and look at the results I would assume that in these cases it is still an authority issue but also mixed with a recognition of your location. Marco is in fact the only well ranking company with their Google My Business listing specifying St. Cloud as their location. So when I do the same search but include Vancouver instead of Minneapolis I don't get a knowledge graph as there are no sites that are a definite authority so one isn't easily chosen in this location and if I do the same search that you did I guess Google has decided that due to my location being different it doesn't matter to me. Hope that helps Cheers, Mary

Inner pages not ranking well
It doesn't sound like a penalty problem at all, otherwise you'd see more of your pages impacted. You're saying you've done internal links to them - but only mention footer links. Have you also put internal links in your texts, pointing to these pages) I honestly don't put much value on footerlinks, as they're not part of the main content on a page. From my experience these don't really add much compared to links in the main content (the category/product descriptions or whatever text you have on there). I would focus on a few of the deeper pages and give them some internal links from your stronger pages to see if you can boost their authority.

Should add Schema markup to my sites Business Directory?
Hi Cole, I'm not sure that adding schema to businesses that are not yours would directly benefit you, though it might benefit the stores in question. Can you explain what your goal is with this?

Google not Indexing images on CDN.
Hey Dan, Thanks for your concerns. The reason for that is because of the image headers. We display different images depending of the resolution of the user visiting the website. So because of this, the image is downloaded automatically rather than being displayed. I researched on this and this shouldn't be a problem in terms of Image SEO. As for the images and watermarking. That is a business decision.

Rogerbot not crawling our site
Hi there! Kristina from Moz's Help Team here. I noticed that you're currently in conversation with my colleague, David, who is helping you out on this. It looks like he might have an idea of what's causing this to occur and he's waiting on the Crawl Test results to confirm if it's fixed for you. I'll let David continue assisting you on this one, but as always you can reach out to our team with any technical issues such as this one by emailing us at help@moz.com. Thanks so much, -Kristina

Usage of keywords in URL
Thanks for the replies! I believe Google makes matching keywords bold in the URL, so it can be good for the CTR. Which URL do you think is best for the keyword personal trainer software for both SEO purposes and CTR? yourdomain.com/business/personal-trainer-software yourdomain.com/software/personal-trainer-software yourdomain.com/software/personal-trainer Seems like most people would recommend going for option 1?

Is this a correct use of 302 redirects?
Hey How about adding a rel="nofollow" to the links. Somewhat unnecessary but would send a signal that you don't want them to be called. Unless there are thousands of these pages I really would not worry about this too much - not to say it is 100% ideal but there are likely better uses of your time with regards to improving overall traffic etc. A more ideal solution would be to have some level of content on these pages at all times. So hard to advise here without any context but as an example we have a teaching agency that lists jobs. Often jobs in a given area are filled so are generally removed (Secondary Maths teacher in Birmingham). But by marking these roles as filled we can keep these pages with some relevant content, have some active lead generation to drive the email list (new jobs added daily) and add some urgency when there are live jobs on there. Just a better solution all round and it means we don't end up with fluctuating thin content pages. Hope that helps! Marcus

Website pages for different cities
I think the answer is in the last part you said - making it useful for the reader. If you make a legitimately useful piece of content, then I would always say go for it. A good example is a brand with multiple stores, where it absolutely makes sense to create a unique page about each location. This page would include information about the store, parking, directions to the store, selection of products, employees, some information about the town, etc. If you're making the page just because you want to rank for "keyword + town" on the other hand, then I would probably think twice, before doing it. You would simply be creating thin content, which could potentially piss off both the panda and give your users a bad experience on your site.
