I would like to know why there are no links found, but there are about 300 links detected with other tools?
Hi there! Kristina from Moz's Help Team here. Hi there! I'm sorry your site isn't showing up in Open Site Explorer yet. I'll try to explain a few reasons why this might be happening: There are two types of link data we capture: external and internal linking pages. In order for us to discover backlinks to your site, we need to crawl the sites and pages linking to you. Once we can find those links, we will then be able to crawl your site to find pages you link to and so forth. If you don't see any inbound links from external sites, there are a few things to check real quick: Check your URL for typos or other errors. Did your URL cut off or contain the wrong punctuation? Check out the site's navigation. Sometimes it takes multiple index updates for us to discover pages that aren't linked to from the site's primary navigation. One simple fix is to create a link to the URL from another page on the website. The Mozscape index is still growing! Keep in mind that, while large, our index doesn’t cover the entire web. If you have a smaller site, it’s possible we haven’t crawled the domains linking to it. Search the pages linking to yours to see if we have indexed their links. If you need help with link building, we've got a fabulous guide here: https://moz.com/beginners-guide-to-link-building. If you don't see any internal links to your page: Make sure we're not blocked from crawling this URL or site. If our web crawlers are blocked from crawling certain pages (i.e., with "noindex" or Robots.txt), they may not be included in the index. For some more in-depth info, here's how we compile our index: We grab the most recent index. We take the top 10 billion URLs with the highest MozRank (with a fixed limit on some of the larger domains). We start crawling from the top down until we've crawled 90,000,000,000 pages (which is about 35% the amount in Google's index). So, if the site is not linked to by one of these seed URLs (or one of the URLs linked to by them in the next update) then it won't show up in our index. Other tools, such as Webmaster Tools, Ahrefs, and Majestic will alway show more link data as they target the quantity of links, while OSE focuses more on quality and Domain Authority. It’s best to use all the tools you can to obtain a full backlink profile; I've got a post here that details why and how that is: http://www.seobook.com/comparing-backlink-data-providers Mozscape focuses on a breadth-first approach. Therefore we almost always have content from the homepage of websites, externally linked-to pages, and pages higher up in a site's information hierarchy. However, deep pages that are buried beneath many layers of navigation are sometimes missed and it may be several index updates before we catch all of these. We update once a month and you can view the next scheduled update here: http://moz.com/products/api/updates Hope this helps provide some clarity. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Reduction in organic visits due to AdWord changes
Agree with Andy. Unfortunately, this is all part of Google's apparent master plan to force the pay-to-play scenario. Given that rumor has it that we will also see a paid ad in one of the 3-pack spots at some point, the writing is on the wall.

Why isn't MOZ reading my website? Seems to keep ignoring the 'www' and returning a 404 error
Hi Carl! Kristina from Moz's Help Team here. It looks like you have quite a few campaigns, so it is difficult for me to look into what may be the issue here without a bit more detail. If you don't want to share which campaign you are referring to here, can you please email us at help@moz.com or click the blue message icon in the bottom right corner of your campaigns to send us the details of which campaign you had this issue on so that we can investigate further? I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Custom ranking report based on pages
I think the problem is that in theory any page that is indexed will rank for some keyword or other, especially long-tail keywords, so there will be too many possibilities. The only way to link them up for sure (as far as I am aware) is to track the keywords. But you may be able to make some connections by checking your top organic landing pages and top organic keywords. I.e. if you are getting a lot of visits to your landing page "/thekeyword" and a lot of visits (or impressions) from "keywordz", then it might be worth checking whether it is that page that ranks well for the keyword "keywordz". The avg. position in the Search Console might be helpful as well to give you an idea for how well a page on your website ranks for the keywords you are getting traffic from.

Why my website some pages is not index in google ?
Just FYI, I think you will find the robots.txt is fine Just to test this, I used a couple of the online testing tools to confirm: http://technicalseo.com/seo-tools/robots-txt/ http://tools.seobook.com/robots-txt/analyzer/ For peace of mind, I would check this in Search Console and use the Robots.txt tested in there also. -Andy

Sorry, but that URL is inaccessible.
Hi there! Kristina from Moz's Help Team here. I'm sorry to hear you're running into this error message. I looked into your site, and here's the scoop: From what I can see you're blocking us on a server level. When I ran your site in a header checker I was able to see a 200, but when I curled your site from our servers it returned a 403. Here's a screenshot of what we're seeing: http://screencast.com/t/c8Fx90uiG The bummer here is that I can't do anything on the support side to fix this. This 403 error is coming directly from your server, so at this point the best thing to do will be to send this information to your web dev. They'll need to make sure our crawler (rogerbot) is whitelisted, so our tools can start working hard for you. I hope this helps. Definitely let me know if you have any other questions.

Not ranking - Scarped content
Thats for sure right, but the problem is that we have made many DMCA's When we do a DMCA, almost immediately Google ranks our site 1st when searching for the exact title of the article and scrapers are below. However, after 2-3 days our article disappears again. I really can't understand what is going on and guess that our domain is depreciated for some reason. I suspect it is going on due to 2 reasons: It seems impossible not rank even in 100 results for an article when scrapers rank 1,2, or 3 top position for the same article, and scrapers have lower website quality or bad backlinks profile. It cant be possible neither findind our website in top10 pages. So, I think it is a matter of domain undervalued. It can't be possible all the articles in Bing and Yahoo getting 1st when searching with their title and only scrapers with better backlink profile outrank us in this case (despite the fact that they link to our articles.) However, in Bing and Yahoo, even if competitors are #1 or #2 result, we are for sure 1st page and just below them (#2 or #3.) I can understand it absolutetly. But cannot understand why Google neither shows our article in 100 results. Its just abnormal. (And the articles are properly indexed). So confused...

Do people recover from an unnatural outbound links penalty?
Hey - it's just so hard to say without a link / some research. Just focus on quality and try to understand where the problems are so you are not SEOing in the dark. You could get an experienced consultant to take a look for a few hours or get a full on SEO audit which again will give you some more intel and a prioritised approach. Certainly though you can likely learn lots from analytics by understanding where there has been a drop in traffic, engagement etc. Always try to base the work you do on data and analysis where possible so you are not just spinning your wheels!

YOAST Premium extensions vs Yoast SEO Free?
Yes, their useful plugins (cost a lot) but I think they are well made & unlike some other plug-ins, there updated very often. However what I recommend their video plug-in not really unless you had a very particular need. There Local and Woocommerce plugin's are excellent for what it does the news plug-in is significant buying the bundle may save you money, and I would recommend it if you have looked at everything and decided that's what you need. sorry about the delay let me know if that helps, Tom

Google panda, penguin or Patience needed?
Hey I think replied to your other post but I can chip in here a little as well. Firstly I would try to understand where these drops are happening. You mention that you are still ranking well for some of the main keywords so what is losing traction? Review the periods after each drop and then compare to the previous period in analytics. Work through the various reports and you can determine what pages / sections of the site are losing traffic. You can then get an idea of what is likely the problem and formulate a plan to resolve it. The first step here is always to gather as much information as possible on where exactly you are losing traffic and then perform a review to understand what the problem is and even if this was solid, well converting traffic in the first place. Hope that helps Marcus

On Site Question: Duplicate H2...
I have to say, GTAMP, I agree with all the above advice. As Jared notes, this isn't something that's going to wreck your traffic on its own. However, David is spot-on that it's certainly worth fixing if the cost isn't too high.

Open Site Explorer Say my page has Large number of External Links & External Links in Navigation.
Hi there! Tawny from the Help Team here. I think I can help explain what you're seeing in Open Site Explorer. When you enter your site's URL, the first report that comes back is an Inbound Links report. By default only external inbound links are displayed, but you can use the dropdowns to filter down to just the links you're interested in. You won't see these external inbound links in your source code - they're just links to your site from elsewhere on the web. If you were to look at internal links instead, you'd be able to find them in your site's code. I hope this helps! If you have more questions, feel free to write in to help@moz.com and we'll give you a hand with anything that's not clear.

Old sitemaps after site migration.
It should be fine, but if you want to be certain, check the info:sitea.com query in Google for a random selection of URLs from sitea.com so that you can make sure they are all properly indexed now as Site B.
