Linking to Google Place page??
Hi bdiddy, As a rule of thumb, if you want Google to like you--use their stuff That goes for using the Webmaster tools and as some would argue, the adwords paid search (a little more controversial). But as for your question, maybe you can clarify what it is you're looking for? Are you trying to get your Google Places listing higher in the results, or are you trying to get your website (www.yourdomain.com) higher in the SERPs by using Google Places as a backlink? If it's the latter, understand that all the links on a Google Places page are "rel=nofollow". You won't gain any link juice (or friends at Google) if you make a bunch of place pages and link them back to yourdomain.com If it's the former, and you want to get your places page higher in the local search, see Rand's research. There are a number of factors that go into winning in local search, but chief among them is making sure your business listing is consistent across the web.

Does Google factor in site traffic, time on site, bounce rate, etc into it's ranking algorithm?
If Google came out today and said "site traffic, time on site and bounce rate are all going to be factors of our algorithm" then ethically-challenged individuals and companies may considering banks of users based in places with low labour costs to try to manipulate the algorithm. It is almost certain that Google has considered this in the past but is worried that people may try and game the system. As such I would expect any ranking element related to the quality of a site to be more complex. There are suggestions that Google is trying to get algorithms to be able to judge the aesthetic quality of a site and that this could be a factor in the future

Does the url text count as anchor text in google's algo?
Yes, link juice will be passed to a URL link, as it is commonly used across the web and is evidenced in many sites that have this type of inbound link. Sorry I couldn't be more clearer.

Duplicate page Content
There are many problems that makes a dublicate page: 1. www resolve (domain with www and domain without www, search engines see tem as 2 websites and consideres dublicate content) 2. Parameters used in sending them with get method between pages ex : "?pageId=12&userid=566" here you will use canonical links or exclude them from webmastertools or use robots to block the access to these pages 3. When you use filters or search querys, combobox, dropdown menu, theese components are using get method if there is not specified in form one. 4. I sow your site and you have there many Telerik.Web.UI.RadComboBox -> here is your problem see how you manage their parameters and how the forms are validated and how page is loaded canonical tag may be your sollution generally :)

Have I found gold ... or fools gold?
You might get a small boost in keyword specific SERPS, but i would word it differently perhaps, is your target audience searching for exactly that "official bob marley merch" ? Maybe it would be better to start the link out with "bob marley merch ..." as the order of the keywords makes a difference, you want to rank well for bob marley more than you want to rank well for official.

How do you account for misspellings in search engine queries?
I think most of the time people don't worry about it these days, since the search engines are so much better with guessing the correct spelling and showing those results instead of the results for the misspelled word. User forums and reviews are one way you can get misspelled words in without it looking too odd, if that at all fits your situation. Is your company still asking about this at all, or have you gone way beyond that now?

Pages crawled
How many pages are on your site? I'm seeing over 500 indexed on Google. Trying to get a feel for how many pages aren't indexed. Do you use a sitemap file at all? If you have one in place, and submit it via Google Webmaster Tools, it will show you how many pages are in your sitemap and how many of those pages Google has indexed. A secondary note though that some of those pages are Ajax File Manager pages, which you probably want to exclude from being crawled via robots.txt.
