Image Links Vs. Text Links, Questions About PR & Anchor Text Value
Gotcha. This is a total guess, but I'd venture to say that PageRank is probably passed in the same quantities (mozRank definitely is). Page Authority is harder to say because it doesn't actually "flow" - it's a metric we calculate AFTER the rest of the link graph and the metrics are done processing and represents a machine-learning based algo with inputs of every other kind of link metric. One of these could certainly be the ratio of images to text links or the existence or non-existence of both, but as with any machine learning system, it's hard to know what's actually (even for the folks who wrote it!)!

Tweet ranking affect 1 position keyword ?
If you're in position one, you probably want to hold onto it. I don't think it would hurt to do something like that but I wouldn't worry if you're fairly competitive already. I think the real benefit might be in picking up some long-tail keywords if that's what you're going for.

Best place for new relevant content ?
It sounds like you want to find some way of integrating the videos with their current e-commerce site, but you don't want to push the category links below the fold and ruin the user experience. Is that correct? I think the best way to do that would be to way to do that is to have a separate page for the video and transcription, as well as the sharing icons, etc. Then, create a thumbnail image to place on the relevant landing pages and include a short description so that it fits nicely within the site flow, but doesn't move the content too far down. Another option is to have a link to the video page using a header banner (468x60) or similar with a clean call to action. That would only push the page content down 70 or so pixels.

Help - Rank is Continually Dropping
We have many unique domains - websites that we built - that point directly back to our SEO page. Some of these are fairly highly ranked sites.... Just guessing..... these links sound like they are placed in the footers of websites that are topically unrelated to the keywords that you are optimizing for? If that is the case then these links are not worth as much as links placed with in paragraph text on relevant websites. If your rankings have dropped from #2 to #8 in just a few weeks it sounds like some of your links have recently been removed, devalued or an algo change has changed something.

Public Pre-Release Landing Page Optimisation
Something I read (from Dave Naylor i think) was to understand what your keyword/url structure is going to be. Then while you are building the site, you seed those urls with viral content to gather links. When the time comes, you just swap the content of the page and your good to go, with links already secured

Better to host videos locally...or from youtube/other sources?
I've always found it interesting that SEOmoz don't have a channel on YouTube so would be curious on their view for this. At Koozai we host videos on Wistia and then display those on our site. We did use Vimeo but they can ban anything promotional (even for paid accounts) so we didn't like the risk. YouTube was avoided as then people can advertise on your website via AdWords so we didn't want that. From an SEO point of view the best thing to do is to use YouTube as it's one of the most popular search engines so you'll get potential to be found on Google and by YouTube searchers.

404 Errors in Google Webmaster Tools
Your looks like a script or something. It has a bunch of links. On my end I see nothing except the nav bar and some banner ad. NOTHING in the body. I would give this a 404.
