  • An increase in DA takes time. As the backlinks you have created will get indexed and then their link juice transfer to you and then the DA may increase slowly. So it's a lengthy process you have to wait.

  • There are a few ways of looking at this. It also depends how old the other post is, how many links it has (plus many more factors). One angle is to link out from the post that is ranking (https://www.clickboarding.com/18-jaw-dropping-onboarding-stats-you-need-to-know/) to the blog post targeting "employee onboarding process" - ideally using the keyphrase as the anchor text. However, in my opinion, you might be better incorporating the blog post which targets the keyphrase into the page that is already ranking. There is a lot of crossover in the content and the stats, so it might make sense to merge them and avoid confusing Google. Just make sure you 301 redirect the post targeting "employee onboarding process" to the stats post if you go down this route.

  • Hi Gareth, This is a pretty common issue. Generally your homepage is always going to be your 'strongest' page for links etc so in most cases it makes sense to use it to target your highest level and most important keyword/phrases. If you are ranking well with your homepage for this important phrase then you don't really want to be messing with it unless there is a good reason. For the service page you could consider: 1. Leaving it as is since it serves its purpose for users and site navigation and conceivably supports the ranking of the homepage. 2. Consider slightly reworking to try target a relevant secondary phrase (ie bus rental instead of coach hire for example or private coach hire etc, etc) - assuming your homepage is not ranking as well for these type of searches and they are indeed relevant to your business. The above assumes you ARE actually ranking well for "coach hire" with your homepage. If you are not ranking as well as you like then that might change your approach. Of course, if you did get the hire page to rank well then.... what phrase would you target with your homepage? Hope it helps

  • Hi, You should try "Disavow" option, you're doing a clean sweep of all the bad links on that domain. When you disavow by URL, you're more likely to miss bad links. Please check following thread for more details: https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/10239497?hl=en

  • Hey there! Thanks for reaching out to us! PA is the 'strength' of an individual page, whereas DA is the 'Strength' of your whole site and included a lot of factors. To understand how to improve DA (Domain Authority) it can help to get some insight into how we gather our data, which I'll include below. Sorry in advance for the long message! To calculate DA, we index the web by following links using a crawler. Our crawler is built on a machine-learning based model that is optimized to select pages like those that appear in our collection of Google SERPs. We feed the machine learning model with features of the URL like the backlink counts for the URL and the PLD (pay-level domains), features about the URL like its length and how many subdirectories it has, and features on the quality of the domains linking to the URL and PLD. So, it's not based on any one particular metric, but we're training the crawler to start with high-value links. In terms of improving your Domain Authority, with the information above in mind, it's best to look at both you on-page SEO to make sure you've covered the basics. Then you also want to look at your off-site SEO and building more links more links to your site. There are lots of different areas of Link Building to explore, from patching up broken links, improving your internal link profile, and good ol' fashioned content creation. Here is a great video by our founder Rand which goes over some easy link building tactics to get you started. I hope that helps to start you off! Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com if you have any other questions,

  • When real users have a slow experience on mobile, they're much less likely to find what they are looking for or purchase from you in the future. For many sites this equates to a huge missed opportunity, especially when more than half of visits are abandoned if a mobile page takes over 3 seconds to load. Last week, Google Search and Ads teams announced two new speed initiatives to help improve user-experience on the web. Both efforts recommend that site owners and developers pay attention to user-centric performance metrics and use tools such as Lighthouse and PageSpeed Insights, and real-world field data (e.g. see Chrome User Experience Report) to diagnose and improve user experiences. Speed is now used as a ranking factor for mobile searches Users want to find answers to their questions quickly and data shows that people really care about how quickly their pages load. The Search team announced speed would be a ranking signal for desktop searches in 2010 and as of this month (July 2018), page speed will be a ranking factor for mobile searches too. If you're a developer working on a site, now is a good time to evaluate your performance using our speed tools. Think about how performance affects the user experience of your pages and consider measuring a variety of real-world user-centric performance metrics. Are you shipping too much JavaScript? Too many images? Images and JavaScript are the most significant contributors to the page weight that affect page load time based on data from HTTP Archive and the Chrome User Experience Report - our public dataset for key UX metrics as experienced by Chrome users under real-world conditions. • hey there, Bulk posting in here just makes my eyes hurt so I'd suggest perhaps looking at the URL inspection tool in Google search console - https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/9012289?hl=en lot less eye pain than en-mass posting here and will work better! You can also wait, frustrating I know but Google will get around to them and sometimes trying to push Google doesn't always helps compared to just having a bit of patience. Good luck!
