Hello, I did as you suggested to add links to Link Tracking Lists, but it does not work.   I can provide the tracking lists i created last week if needed.  Could you please help me out?

To chime in on this, DA and PA are Moz metrics, and are not only impacted by gain and loss of backlinks, but also take into consideration that of competitors. That said, there's a good chance that if you did not lose backlinks and saw a decrease, that your competitors gained backlinks during this period. Is this helpful? -Zack

Hey there! Don't get too hung up on backlinks appearing (or not) there can be a few reasons for this. Don't forget crawling the web takes a lot of power and Roger can only get so far and so often, Google has a bit more power to get further so it's likely to find links more often and faster than other crawlers. Do they might be there and not visible on a tool. Secondly, if the value of a backlink is there e.g. the value to a user that is the complete purpose of a backlink more so than anything else. Keep on working and you might find them come up over time, you can always look in Search engine console and you might discover them in there too! The link you gave unfortunately 404s so as long as all your links are working I'm sure it will be a ok, you can always keep a list somewhere of them to manually check. it can take weeks depending on the DA/PA of the site. Hope some of that puts your mind at ease and keep on creating links and you'll get there before you know it edit  I'd also ensure you've ticked all boxes on your site, check if its https

That is a solid answer, but to also chime in, Domain Authority is a Moz metric that largely increases and decreases depending on the number of backlinks a website has, and also takes into consideration the competitive landscape. So if your goal is to raise your Domain Authority score, you would want to start obtaining backlinks to your website. Keep in mind that there are several ways to approach gaining backlinks, but doing so by getting your site listed in "bad link neighborhoods" can easily earn penalties in Google. Hope this helps! Any subdomain links shared won't contribute to your main site's link authority or ranking in search results because they are (basically) considered two sites, they just have a lot of links between them.

Thanks Ryan. Very helpful advice. I restored to my backup and asked my web host to redirect to HTTPS. No more 12,000 redirects!

Hi there, Yes -- in my personal experience, I have seen instances where Ahrefs is picking up on new links within a month or so, yet Moz can take months. Hope this helps. Zack

Domain authority is a metric developed by Moz. The higher your domain authority is, the more likely you are to earn a higher search engine ranking and to receive more and better web traffic. To increase website DA you should follow these steps. Select a good domain name Optimize on-page content Create high-quality content Make strong internal linking structure Disavow toxic links Start guest post Increase Mobile-Friendly score Increase website's loading speed Promote content on Social Media accounts

Yenu, I also find that occasionally, websites with poorer PA and DA rank higher than sites with weaker PA and DA. This certainly backs the point that these are Moz metrics and not Google metrics. That said, Moz professionals (good SEOs in general) would not encourage you to set goals to increase PA and DA, but rather set goals that bring the highest value to the website. In the SEO world, that could equate to more pages in the top 3 (or 5, or 10) position, which is not a Moz metric, but is straight from Google. I hope this helps! Zack

Hi there, It's also worth mentioning that in addition to a possible need to disavow poor quality backlinks, you may have "lost" quality backlinks and / or your competitors may have gained backlinks. (Keep in mind that PA and DA also take competitive landscape into consideration.) Hope this helps! Zack
