Is it worth keeping a decades-old domain that's merely 301 redirecting to the main domain?
Thank you everyone. Taking a look further, I found that: - Google Analytics shows that this old domain used to get traffic, for years, but back in January of this year, the traffic more or less came to a halt. I suspect this is approximately when a former SEO put in 301 redirects for this domain, and Google recognized it. - And in a site:{domain.com} search in Google, along the same lines, I found that only one page is currently being crawled -- the homepage. - BUT in an advanced search in Google, there are 171 mentions of "{domain}.com" in Google still. While many of these are mentions of the owner's email address, this leads to recommending hanging onto the old domain, especially if it is inexpensive. - AND in Moz Pro, I can see that while there is certainly not much happening with the old domain, it does have some link equity, which is being passed to the main new domain name. Conclusion With all this said, I told the client that the bottom line is that I've looked into the potential value of this domain, and do feel it's worth hanging onto -- especially if it is relatively inexpensive. Thanks again, so much, for chiming in on this one. Should anyone else have any vastly different suggestions, I'm all ears. Moz bot has trouble crawling Angular JS - I believe it's seeing the SPA (Single Page Application) before Universal. Anyone else have this issue? What is the fix?
Our crawler works by parsing the source code of your site, looking at HTML elements. If your site is primarily Javascript, then the data you get back with regards to the crawl report won't be completely accurate because of this. There's no real workaround that I can recommend for this one, since it is a technical limitation of our tools, but there are some good blog posts and discussions in the Q&A about this if you head over to our Help Hub. While the tools and data that rely on our crawl of your site may not return the best results because of that Javascript, your keyword rankings and link profile should work just fine. You might also want to check out a few tools that are compatible with Javascript, like Botify or Screaming Frog. https://www.onely.com/tools/wwjd/ is also a handy tool that makes it super easy to see where links are added or removed by javascript.

Is it okay to update Page Titles and Meta descriptions over a period of time?
Thanks for the response. I have collected data of keywords with highest impressions in GSC and those are exactly related to my product. I am going to add those keywords in Page title meta and somewhere in content so that I could get some clicks. Some keywords generated more than 52000 impressions but have 0 clicks. I hope this would be a good practice.

Do many nofollow links from one website will hurt my website SEO?
Thanks for the reply, Victor. For now, I have deleted my account from that particular website from where I got 20k links in a day. The sole reason was that I was getting 20k links per day added to my backlink profile without any increase in the referring domain.

Multiple service area pages that rank well. However the primary keyword page tends to bounce around between the pages. How can I stabalise the ranking to the primary page
Hi Jonathan, I'd call this behavior normal if Google is localizing the results to the location of the user, based on which page they feel is the best fit for the user's location+intent. I'm not 100% sure of the architecture of your content, but if you want all traffic to hit a single landing page for a specific search term, you might need to consolidate your content.

Can anyone please explain the real difference between backlinks, 301 links, and redirect links?which one is better to rank a website? i am looking for the help for one of my website
A backlink is when someone posts a link to your website on another website. A search engine catalogs theses and uses them as an indicator of your website's popularity and legitimacy. The more popular and legitimate the website that linked to you, the more legitimate you seem in the search engine's eyes. A 301 and redirect link are one and the same. When you use the internet and navigate to an address (like google.com for example) the computers talk to each other before the website is displayed. A key communication between them is HTTP Status Codes. You may already be familiar one of them: 404 (Page Not Found!). 301 (permanent redirect: page has moved permanently) and 302 (temporary redirect: page has moved temporarily) are types of this code. They indicate the computer that the page has moved, and that you will be redirected. When search engines find a page that has been moved with a redirect link, they will take that legitimacy built with the backlinks and apply it to the new page. For example, you have a domain called GoodVacuumCleaners.com and you want to move to BestVacuumCleanersEver.com. You will move the website to the new domain and set the old domain with a redirect link (301) so you can move your search rankings juice to the new domain.

Inconsistency between content and structured data markup
This is what they say, explicitly: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/guides/sd-policies. Specifically, see the "Quality Guidelines > Content" section. In terms of actual penalties, ranking influence, or marking pages as spam , I can't say from experience as I've never knowingly used markup inconsistent with the information visible on the page.
